The entire staff and doctors are professional and efficient. The selection of frames is large and the staff help find the right frames for me and my family. My son has a simple prescription but my husband has a very complicated prescription and frame needs. My face is small but my nose bridge is too large for any usual small frame. So helping us get suitable frames is no small accomplishment! read more

I was overdue for my eye appt. I called in to make a future appt but they had some cancellations and they were able to get me in to be seen same day. Everyone was so nice and friendly from the phone call, to the checkin, eye tests before the doctor, the eye exam with the doctor, checkout and even adjusting my glasses. Dr. Rivera was knowledgeable and so nice about explaining the blood vessels in my eyes and checking the mole on my eyeball. The staff was so courteous and friendly. I have been coming to this place for three years and have never been disappointed! Except when my first Doctor retired to start a family!! Respect!! I am so happy i found a new office to have my annual eye sight check up. When you first call they might be scheduling a bit far out. If you need something soon, they do have a cancellation list. You can ask to be placed on the list for a sooner date. The office is clean, big, spacious. The staff is super friendly from the scheduler to every person in the office. I will say I have been wearing glasses almost my whole life and they performed one of the most detailed eye exam. I was very impressed with their work and knowledge. Definitely this is the place to come get your eyes checked out. read more

My husband and I really enjoy our visits with West Valley Vision Center. I had my annual appointment today and it was so good to see Christine, Rosa and Brayan was the agent that helped me pick out my new glasses. they always have a great selection to choose from. Every year when I go for my appointment, I look forward to seeing what new options that they have. The doctors are very knowledgeable and take their time to answer your questions and talk to you about any concerns you have during the actual check up. I feel right at home with this office. I have to be honest I don't remember who was my doctor but it was a male I will update that portion later. But everybody was very kind very nice I didn't bring a mask so I turned around and got one. I don't know if they offer one. I think I waited maybe 5-10 minutes before I was called and then we did my exam even with the doctor I didn't have to wait for very long. Then they dilated my eyes and let me go pick out glasses. I was afraid I would forget and leave but thankfully they came back for me did my exam. And then chose which frame I actually was going to buy and was an easy process. The doctor really knew what he was doing he went over everything about my eyes even noticed that my allergies were a little crazy and recommended some good allergy eyedrops. I believe Rosa was the one who helped me pick out my glasses she even went over what my budget was from insurance I will say in the beginning when you look at the prices A lot of them are pretty expensive. But I did find some that were either over 150 or under 100. But it is not many most of them are probably around 240. I honestly did not have a bad time everything went really smoothly. And like I said the only negative I would have is how expensive glasses are but this wasn't a nationwide or one of those cheaper brand vision stores So I kind of knew what to expect and I still found some within my insurance price range. read more

Did an eye exam here for contacts and glasses. I was told after I already paid for the eye exam that if i wanted contacts it would be an additional $90. They already charged my insurance, I paid the co-pay, came in another day to order contact and that is when i was told my eye exam that they already did and charged me for does not cover the contacts. I have never had to do two separate eye exams. Also they charge ala'cart for everything on the glasses. After a cheap pair of $89 frames and after insurance it was over $300. I went to costco got scratch resistant, anti glare, and blue light on the lens and with the frame, and after the insurance it was only $46 dollars, and this frame was 10x's nicer. Save your time and money, go to costco!!!!! This place is a scam!!!! read more

We went for eye exam in 2022, after few weeks of that service, my daughter did not feel good with the glasses she received, so we went back for a re-check up on the prescription. At the time, they told me there will be no charge. Who knew, two years later, they sent me a bill for a medical visit! Shouldn't this part of exam service? If a patient doesn't feel comfortable with the prescription, how is that considered as a complete service??? They said they have wrong address on file, so the bill did not deliver, but they have my phone number! Yeah! Two years later, we have to deal with this billing! read more

Worst experience ever with frame girl no help in choosing when choosing glasses she made sure she gave me the cheap frame with flowers when in my hand I had saint Laurent and gucci and Marc Jacob's I was ready to purchase but she seem so negative looking at me up and down by my appearance made me feel uncomfortable being there. Be aware that they are aggressive at cancelling appointments. They started calling me a month before my appointment asking me if I wanted to confirm or switch dates. I wanted to do neither, because it is too early to confirm and I didn't want to switch dates. I found out today they cancelled my appointment without telling me because I didn't respond to their messages. 1. If you are going to cancel an appointment due to lack of confirmation, please have the courtesy to indicate that will be the result. 2. If you cancel an appointment, notify the patient so they don't come in still. Generally I am very happy with this office, just wish they could fix how they handle scheduling and appointment confirmations. After I discovered the problem they were polite and helpful as usual in getting me rescheduled. So I'll give 4 stars for effort. Would have been 5 if they hadn't cancelled to begin with though. read more

I've been going to WVV since I was 8 years old (1983). They have seen me through childhood, those evil teen years, adulthood, parenthood, and holey eye issues. They see my spouse and my kids. We have ALWAYS had a wonderful experience. All processes are explained thoroughly. With new contacts, they patiently walk you through how to put them in, take them out, cleaning and care. We had two appointments today for full eye exams, three new pairs of glasses and contacts,  We have been regular patients for at least five years and are fully insured. Prior to our appointments we received two calls, as well as text messages reminding us of their Covid-19 policies and rules. We also called, heard the policy on a recording, as well as their appointments only policy.  Their own recording states that because of Covid-19 they are only accepting patients by appointment. Upon arrival at the office, we checked in and took our seat.  While waiting we watched a man walk in without a mask, then put one on clearly excluding his nose.  The man stated that he did not have an appointment and was there to adjust his glasses.  Meanwhile another man enters the office with his mask hanging completely off.  We moved away and asked the staff to do something about it.  One of the girls behind the counter went and asked the man with his nose out to adjust his mask and he refused!  We asked for a manager and after quite some time she appears.  We asked her to enforce the policy by refusing service until he complied.  The manager stated that "she didn't want any confrontation and we could wait outside if we wanted!"  The staff obviously had no care or regard for our, or anyone else's health and safety!  With so many elderly people and those with health issues (like us), we were alarmed and appalled by the staffs lack of care and safety!  We then retreated to the parking lot, where we called to speak to a manager.  After a five-minute wait on hold, we called back and were told that if we didn't like their actions we could go elsewhere!  I became more than upset and asked for Dr. Moore, I was told RUDELY that she was busy.  Instead of deescalating the situation they continued to act as though we were the problem, which obviously just made us angry!  All they had to do was take my number, or confirm it, and have the Doctor call me back!  The rudeness continued until I became rude also! I don't know what the staff's background is however, I am sure they are aware the virus that causes coronavirus disease (COVID-19) spreads mainly from person to person in respiratory droplets released when someone with the virus coughs, sneezes or talks. Also, commonly, airborne transmission can occur, this happens when very small virus particles linger in the air for minutes to hours, they can also linger on surfaces potentially infecting others who are in the same area or touching the same items -- even if the infected person is far away or has left the space. Furthermore, A healthy person can then unknowingly touch those surfaces and the next thing you know - the virus has gotten a free ride to wherever and whatever the person touches next and/or infecting that person!  The Delta Variant has proven to be even more contagious! The staffs lack of care and knowledge of infection control and safety protocol caused you to lose two longtime patients!  More importantly they may cause any one of your patients, themselves or a family member to be infected, suffer and/or die from this Horrible Virus! After losing our parents recently to this horrible disease along with many friends and coworkers, we have no tolerance for this dangerous behavior!  I have a Nursing degree; my sister is an Emergency Room Physician and it was hard to believe that the staff did not practice infection control or universal precautions!  When we were asked to wait outside, instead of the perpetrators who refused to follow the rules/guidelines! We were more than insulted! We are also alarmed that the staff would be this reckless when there were so many other elderly patients in the waiting room! I will also share our horrible experience, which could have easily been avoided, on social media, any other avenues and to everyone I know! read more

From my Google reviews: I went to an eye appointment scheduled at 11:10AM for my Keratoconus scleral lens training on my left eye. The technician that was "training" me did not show me how to properly clean or pour saline on to my lens. The technician laughed after I failed to properly insert my lens after the fourth try. I left annoyed by ending the session by stating that I am going to go home. There's no point in attempting the lens training, if the technician does not seem to want to work or properly train someone. It was a waste of my time driving over there. I highly recommend this office. I go to Dr Moore and she was so helpful and full of knowledge. I also take my special needs adult daughter here and they are ALL so very sweet and great with her. From the second you want in the door to when you walk out every staff member is so nice and courteous and makes you feel special. When you get fitted for glasses, Emily is AMAZING. She goes above and beyond trying to get you fit perfectly. I have so much trouble with progressive glasses and she has had an immense amount of patience with me. I had been going to the same eye doctor since moving to AZ in 2019. I have no issues with the doctor (although I don't think I actually saw the doctor more than five minutes at each appointment). What I had a problem with is their office and procedures. There was never less than 20 people in the waiting room. Appointments took no less than an hour and 15 minutes. Tests were taken in an uncomfortable room with other patients taking tests. When I walked into West Valley, I could immediately see a difference. There were two other patients waiting. The check in was with a person, not a kiosk, and took minutes. I was even offered a bottle of water. I was called exactly at my appointment time and was led to a private office to take the tests I needed. Everything was professional and efficient. The doctor saw me after the tests were taken and spent at least ten or fifteen minutes taking more tests and examining my eyes. I was shown the pictures and given an explanation of what he saw. I was out in less than an hour. I was extremely happy with my first visit and will make this my permanent eye care facility. read more

OMG, As a new patient I was very impressed By all the beautiful, Marvelous, low-hi end glasses to choose from.Unfortunately I don't remember the eye doctor's name. He absolutely is a sincere tall young man who cares about his patient's. I believe Gloria was the optician technician that helped me picked out my glasses. She was excellent honest and Did not point out the higher priced eyeglasses I had picked out 10 pair of glasses to choose from she was very patient while we agreed on a pair that look nice. Service was so great And the eyeglasses were were so amazing I couldn't decide on the glasses I wanted so I bought three pairI bought my regular glasses, computer glasses and prescription sunglasses. I see Dr Lindquist and admire him because he caught an issue with my eye that could have turned out to have a very negative consequence. I am young and healthy and I am so grateful he was being thorough! I also absolutely love Suzzie, one of the opticians. My son has amblyopia and after doing some research, I found that eye therapy can be a less frustrating alternative to patching. Someone recommended this place and so I scheduled the appointment. While on the phone with the scheduled, I asked her if the Dr did eye therapy for children with amblyopia- she said yes. We just had his eyes checked a few months before this visit and it would be $145 out of pocket for this visit, so I wanted to be sure that this was something that could be done. When we arrived we were called back relatively quick. The guy taking pictures of my sons eyes mentioned patching and I said I'm not interested in seeing the doctor if she was just going to patch him. He reassured me that she does eye therapy. So I went ahead and had him see the doctor. The outcome? She recommended patching. She said that they do not do eye therapy on patients with amblyopia. We were there for TWO hours and paid $145 just hear what I already knew. The doctor recommended going to Midwestern. I feel like this office is all about up-selling and double booking patients (the reason we were there for 2 hours). Very inconsiderate to their patients time. I gave it two stars, because the doctor was thorough with her exam. FYI- for anyone that is looking into eye therapy, we scheduled with Midwestern. They actually do eye therapy for children with amblyopia. read more

I don't think businesses are doing their best during this covid time .. particularly this business...instead of making two phone calls and sending two texts for appointment confirmation it may be a good idea to send a text informing your patients what to expect when entering the building during this covid season. When I came today I was uninformed of any extreme policy change and was left at the locked door texting that I had arrived. At that point the office staff treated me like I had a disease that would kill them and then spoke to me like I was five...the sad thing is ... Top-notch facility, doctors, and options. Bit more expensive. Tried WVVC after going to Target optical for a few years and having a change of insurance. This eye care group provides an exceptional service experience. Staff is quick and helpful. Doctors really seem to know their stuff and they use better technology than I've seen in the past. (I'm a fan of anything that doesn't dilate my eyes!) And they have a wide array of options spanning cheap to couture. Two knocks-- price compared to my previous spend on glasses and contacts is almost $100 more for very similar options. Lenses on my glasses appears to be the bulk of that. Also, I've had to hold on picking up my glasses after they came in at the wrong prescription. Overall superb place and people. We are switching my entire family over as patients. read more
