The beef was exactly on the meat point I ordered and very tender. My bf ordered a sandwich with fried (I don't remember the name of the dish, sorry), he also loved, it was very juicy inside and crispy on the outside. Lots of fries and freshly fried! Drinks were great, nice big glasses and came very fast! (ps.: it was the end of the night and in the middle of the week, and they kept the amazing standards!) Their patio is huge and the guy serving us was alone serving the entire patio and bartending too, and he did an excellent job! I wish I knew his name to write it here! Overall this place was really good and I would definitely come back. The vibe here is so lovely on a nice summer evening. We sat on the patio and enjoyed the fresh air outside. The food is served quickly and pretty delicious with good portion. The drinks are well made too, although the cocktails are pretty light on the alcohol. Came here with two friends rather unexpectedly. We were shocked to see that nearby Miso Sushi had permanently closed, so we had to quickly regroup on the spot and decide where to go instead. We ended up choosing this place since it was close by and we didn't want to hop back on the bus to go somewhere else. The overall ambiance here is quite cool and festive! You're seated outdoors when you dine here, which you don't run into often. Food is of good quality and also prepared quickly and the prices are quite reasonable. Nothing fancy, the food consists of what you'd expect at a pub, bar, etc. My friends and I ordered a Caesar Salad, some cauliflower bites and nachos, all to share. I had a pork belly taco, all of which were amazing. The service is also quick and friendly. All in all, this was a good accident - I'll definitely be back! read more

Food was very not good lol. Very overpriced for 6 mid mozzarella sticks. And 3tacos fish pork and steak with barely any flavour same garnishes not much variety maybe another option would've been better but from my experience eating here it's not good. Ambiance was cool as well as the servers were friendly. Might suggest going over the menu and upgrading if they want to charge the price. read more

Barney's is a super fun bar in London ON, I wish I knew about it sooner. Also being from Toronto I feel like we are totally missing out on this. Its a very european vibe with music playing, lights in the trees, chatter and laughs in the air and people socializing at every corner. Our server was super outgoing and friendly, she knew the menu very well and suggested some fun drinks to order. I had a watermelon margarita and it was DELICIOUS. She said they had all the flavours. I am going to be googling how to make one because it was so good. The prices are also reasonable, in Toronto it wouldve been like $14+ but here it was nearly half it only costed $7.5 We also got veggie nachos to share and they were so good and big snd enough for the both of us. this place needs to get their shit together. Standing at a table on the "Christmas patio" for over 20 mins without anyone coming over to take an order. I specifically ask if there is service at the bar because i already stood there for 15 mins as well. I'm told no, not tonight because there is an event. literally 5 mins later I see men getting served by a lady server. The patio isn't packed, there's actually not that many people at all, less than 40. Thanks for nothing, first time here and last. The service is the worst I've ever experienced. read more

In London for a few nights to visit family & friends and when in London, the two musts in the summertime are nachos at Kool's and drinks on the patio at Barney's. Stopped at Kool's earlier then headed to Barney's. It is a large patio with two bars and while I understand they have food, I have never eaten nor actually seen anybody eat here. The patio is the main draw as it is quite large with seating that can accommodate any group size. Great people watching with a variety of persons stopping by for a beverage...mature grads (like our group), locals and the young adults at Western or Fanshawe meeting up with friends or trying to make some new friends of the opposite sex. Securing a table can be quite challenging given its popularity. The staff are young and pleasant and are used to dealing with large crowds of university aged students. It was great that they have plenty of local beers on draught and happy they have a local IPA. It was a positive experience and happy to recommend Barney's patio when in London in the summer months. read more

Really? You mean no one in London has NOTHING to say about Barney's Patio? The most infamous of all patios? Well I don't mind telling you about it. Barney's is a very very popular choice for any young adult in London. Lots of seats, spots to people watch, alcohol to drink, food to eat. This place gets BUSY on any warm day or night and you may need to fight tooth and nail for a seat. (See a seat opening up? Don't hesitate, ask right away if you can take it. I say ask because it just solidifies the transaction that that spot is YOURS.) The alcohol flows from a few different bars on the patio and sometimes there is live music. Get the sangria, it's amazing. They do have some tv screens if you are into that but why would you be watching tv? You're on a patio! Get some sun and enjoy it! The food is good but it is definitely overpriced. The bathrooms could be a lot nicer but when you're at an outdoor venue, you can only expect so much. I found that Sundays are much quieter than Saturdays (surprisingly enough, even a sunday on a long weekend is quiet) so take advantage of that. There's lots of fun activities that happen there throughout the summer as well. Check out the back entrance, it could be the key to you getting in and getting a spot! If you've been to the "The Porch" in Toronto it is exactly like that bar minus it being on the rooftop of a building. It's London's summer patio bar and everyone in London goes there during the summer at least once. *The Food* Like what the other reviewer said " you go to barneys for the drinks and not the food". If you do get hungry and are with a group of friends try the fat guy platter, great to share and tastes decent. *The Drinks* Overpriced but people go more or so for the atmosphere and to hangout. Great selection on Tap & drink menu nonetheless. *Overall* If your in London in the summer definitely worth to check it out. Great atmosphere, fantastic service and decent food. It's a place for all types of age groups but mostly university students at night. I started here as part of my daughter's 21st birthday downtown crawl. Barney's is the perfect microcosm of London drinkers. On any given day (pending weather), one will see old and young alike (but not too young..there is tight security that may be check the id of an old guy like me). sipping beer and booze on the spacious patio. You get a plastic pitcher with plastic glasses served by a guy or girl who is clearly making money to stay in school. The menu is full of bar and patio specials plus some unique twists on things. There are daily drink and food specials as well as a reasonably priced snack menu. The food isn't bad. In the end, it's nice to stretch out of a patio with a mosaic of Londoners and have a beer in a plastic beer while supporting somebody's college fund with a tip. The food is far from gourmet but trumps most of the offerings of the patio-touting chains along Richmond row. On another note..don't try and keep pace with a 21 year-old. The only reason this place gets 2 stars is because of the location...it's a cool spot and there's no denying that. What ruins it for me is the type of crowd that frequents it: creepy frat boy-ish types and the stereotypical London girl with lip fillers and lingerie as clothing. The drink prices are seriously outrageous and the staff are just not nice at all...everyone at our table asked for doubles and were charged for doubles however they absolutely did not taste like doubles. Cocktails are good with a selection of different flavours. Service was OK. Food did not have a lot of flavour - had Steak Taco salad and was dissatisfied overall. Just iceberg lettuce with over cooked steak and a lot of dressing. Wouldn't return. read more

I just went to Barneys this past weekend! The patio is great! However, they are charging you an automatic 18% gratuity on your bill which I don't find appropriate. I am always a generous tipper, but I do expect to be served. We had to go to the bar twice to fetch our own drinks, our food was brought out about 10 minutes apart, and no fork or knife. I had to repeatedly ask other servers to assist me. By the end of my visit, my 18% equaled a $16.67 tip, I don't like being told how to spend my money, especially if it wasn't deserved. We ended up hitting every other bar the next couple days and did not go back to Barneys. Nobody else is doing that. read more

Hands down the best patio in the city during the summer time. The only (obvious) problem is that it isn't open during the winter time, so the patio can only really be enjoyed during the summer time. The inside has recently been renovated, and is pretty nice, but most people go for the patio. read more
