They make the BEST soap! And all the ingredients are as natural as it gets. I don't buy any other soap now that I found it. And I buy it to send to family because it's all they want to use. And they have beeswax and goats milk candles with essential oils. Their micro greens are amazing too!! You should totally check them out Saturdays at the Bloomington farmers market or the Bloomington Winter farmers market. read more

This place has awesome soap and they are at the Bloomington Farmers Market. Their vegetables are great and the eggs are the best. If you are ever in the Bloomington, Indiana area be sure to stop at the market and say hi to them. Really nice people. read more

Specialties

Barnhouse Farms specializes in 100% natural goatsmilk soap. That means only sustainable oils (olive oil and coconut oil). Never any palm oil, soybean oil, or fragrance oils. Goatsmilk straight from our holistically managed Nubian goat herd. Happy goats and high quality ingredients make for a superior soap!

History

Established in 2015.

Both former teachers, we started our farm as a organically and sustainably operated farmstead, with the goal of producing everything we needed for our small family ourselves. Over the past two years, we have grown our soap operation significantly. We now offer have farmstands at the Bloomington Community Farmer's Market, Nashville Farmer's Market, and we offer our soaps for sale in Bloomingfoods, as well as several other small partner retailers in the Indianapolis and Bloomington areas. We offer over 10 staple varieties of soap, with seasonal varieties offered throughout the year. Though we have grown, we have kept our soap production 100% farm based, from the plant materials we add to our soaps (grown organically in our market garden) to our herd management, to soap production, to labeling and packaging. It all happens right here.
