The food here is consistently good, I have never had a bad experience in all of the years we've eaten here. We find the roast beef sandwich to be the best in town. The staff has always been nice and warm. They actually feel like they are family which is nice. Any time you eat in the place has a warm and welcoming feel to it. read more

First time here and this restaurant was so great! Not only was the lobby super clean but the employees were very attentive and courteous. We had the French dip and the Jalapeño Ranch with the batter dip fries. Soooo good! To sum it up Barn'rds is, hands-down, one of the best places to eat on the west side of Wichita! Not as good as it used to be. The food is ok but I ordered chicken noodle soup and a Turkey club sandwich, both tasted like they had been sitting out or weren't quite fresh. The soup broth had a strange dirty flavor, just made me think they don't clean their pots. The bread had an unpleasant aftertaste, maybe it is just old. Overall disappointing and I think this will be my last time visiting. Service at the East location used to be better also. People would greet you and act friendly. read more

Excellent customer service! Roast beef is fresh- real beef roasts that are sliced on-site, not a loaf like *other* "roast beef" sandwich chains. My favorite is the Supreme- half roast beef, half pastrami. The BBQ beef is delicious, the Jalapeño Ranch is also amazing! Their chili is made with steak, not ground beef! Fries are crispy and delicious! Now that they have moved to west side, they offer chicken strips! Mac & cheese is fantastic! Soups are delicious! Homemade cookies too! The horseradish sauce is house-made as well! You won't find a better quick roast beef sandwich or a cleaner restaurant anywhere! read more

This was my first visit to Barn'rds and I was very pleased with the food and service. My party ordered the French dip sandwich, the supreme sandwich, the steak chili, pasta salad, and a cookie. Local restaurant with the best roast beef sandwiches on the planet. When the restaurant was on the East side, long ago, they roasted the beef and you could watch. I have been a patron for over 30 years and have ALWAYS had delicious sandwiches. The shakes are thick and yummy and you cannot go wrong with their homemade cookies. read more

I had the original roast beef sandwich. There was nothing special about it. Everything in the restaurant appeared to be clean and neat. However, my original roast beef sandwich was very small. I had it with a bag of chips and a drink which is the combo. my bill was over $11. I felt the overall value for what I got was poor I don't mind paying $11 for lunch if I can get some food. But that sandwich was really small with a regular bag of Lays chips or simply a poor value at $11 and change. read more

I got a plain, dry bun with meat -- no sauce, no lettuce, tomatoes -- nothing else. I got a side of mac & cheese that was stupendously unremarkable. Not sure how long they've been open, I hadn't heard them heard of this place before deciding to try them out today. I ordered the bbq beef sandwich combo with pasta salad and pink lemonade. None of the food had any flavor at all! How is that possible? The meat and bread was bland and the lemonade was very watered down. The pasta salad had the most flavor but that isn't saying much. The hot ham and cheese reminded me of when I was a kid eating at school lunch. I mean that in the best way possible.

My husband and I lived in Wichita when we first got married, nearly 20 years ago now. We lived on Rock Rd., just minutes away from Barn'rds. The owners actually were members of the same church we got married in and went to service every Sunday. So we saw them often. During Lent, they supplied, free to everyone, a variety of non-meat soups, and although I had plenty of their signature sandwiches (which I just LOVED), their cream of potato soup caught my heart! I have made it for years myself, and I honestly say I have NEVER had soup that delicious! Thank goodness I lived close by, because I would go through the drive thru and pick up large containers of soup, and several Barn Stormer Sandwiches! The owners have always been so nice, giving and gracious, and they have some of the most incredible staff, who are always kind, patient, and best of all, attentive & accurate. We have since moved to the Kansas City area and had children, but one of our favorite "fun and crazy" things to do, is pile in the car, drive 3 hours to Wichita, just to get some Barn'rds. In fact, I think another trip is just around the corner!!! read more

Another solid lunch spot in NW Wichita! A co-worker and I felt like roast beef sandwiches today so we thought we would give Barn'rds a try. Both of us had been to the restaurant on the east side like once, but couldn't remember our experience. We are glad we stopped in! Friendly quick service and a clean restaurant. The sandwiches were good and the fries were really crispy and hot. Believe me if your fries aren't hot at the table that's a big no no. If you like horseradish sauce their sauce actually has great horseradish spice to it. Give it a try. read more

1st time there yesterday. Just got the pasta salad since pizza was on dinner menu. Today got large and small pasta salad. Noticable difference in size. Also got large and small roast beef sandwiches. 1 was marked large. Brought home to eat. Therer honestly was not any difference in the size or weight of the 2. Looked like the same size. Both seemed to weigh the same. No way wzs 1 heavier than the other. Don't mind paying extra for the larger size but I do expect it to actually be larger. They were not busy. 1 car ahead of me. Food is good but only giving 3 stars for being paying extra for something I didn't get. Never been shorted at Arby's for a larger sandwich. read more

On the upside, the restaurant was clean. The staff average. The food was awful. I had one of the beef sandwiches (which makes up about 80 percent of the skimpy menu choices) and mac and cheese side. All the meat, lettuce and other fixings were globbed in a disc in the middle of the sandwich leaving about 2 inches of bread around the meat which was not tasty... even for processed meat. Mac and cheese was like out of a box or bag. My sister said her salad was okay but nothing great. So that is what we got for $20. read more
