I have been going to this location since they opened or at least soon afterwards. Yes, it's true they have had their ups & downs with finding the right staff but I think they have found their mojo. In the last 6-8 months I haven't had bad service or a mixed up order. The worst thing happening was a pickle in the box which shouldn't have been there. Oh no! Capital offense! How will I ever survive? lol My hot sandwiches are always hot and the cold ones always cold. Always yummy. I have noticed shorter wait times for both dine-in and carry out while still maintaining the same quality of good service. OH! Speaking of service, I need to give a shout-out to the women (it's always a woman for some reason) who takes our order. I often visit with my elderly Mother who is hard of hearing and has trouble seeing. She won't do anything about these issues because she's a total DIVA (hearing aids are for "old people" and I guess 78 isn't old in her mind). Anyway, the wonderful ladies who take our order are always SO patient with her and if it bothers them to repeat the same question four times, it never shows. I appreciate that so much THANK YOU! Plus, I am so sorry to have to put up with us! I've been going here because it's right by my hotel and I love firehouse subs. They were running a special 1/2 off if you order on the app after 6, one of the workers suggested it to me since I had been in there everyday. I ordered today on the app I get the same sandwich everytime but this time I ordered double meet and cheese. I go in and wait on my order and notice there's a lot of people who ordered after me getting their food before me, no big deal probably needed to catch up on the online orders. I get my sandwich missing the double meat and cheese and the jalepenos that comes on the sandwich. I brought it back in and I was explaining what I ordered and the girl cut me off saying it doesn't have double meat. I said idk if it's missing double meat but the jalepenos are missing and she said she would fix it l. I get my sandwich back and the bread is soggy now they put SO many jalepenos like they just piled them on there in spite. I didn't come in there to be a jerk I came in there because my order was wrong and it seemed like I was the bad guy. This Firehouse Sub is located by my Husband's Chiropractor -- so Hubby volunteered to pick up Sandwiches on his way back home -- I love a GOOD Sandwich!! I am sorry but their Bread wasn't good and apparently my Husband said that they don't have Pepper Jack Cheese. I did end up with a Roast Beef and Monterrey Jack Cheese with Spicy Mustard -- but no Pepper Jack, Pickles or Red Onion. It just wasn't what I wanted for a $9.00 Sandwich. I've ordered the same sub three times and each time has been through their online ordering and it allows me to add and take away things I don't like, which I appreciate. I've been to this location since the beginning. It opened and it was really busy and the food was tasty and hot, like a good sandwich should be. But recently within the past year I've noticed a drop in the food quality. The sandwich I usually get (the engineer) is now always messy like the ingredients were just tossed on the bun and rushed out to me. It also was a really tasteless sandwich compared to the first time I was here. Lastly it was just not a hot sandwich, and went from room temperature to cold in about 10 minutes. I eat at this location 2-3 times a month. Today was the first time and the last time I had an issue. My first bite I had a hair, well I put the hair on the table inspected the rest of the sandwich. I figured if I sent it back s hair would probably be nothing and my impression had further been bolstered. when I was done I called a worker over showed them the hair. Firehouse Subs taste GREAT! I only wish you could get a bit more for your money. This location has great customer service! They have always greeted me when I come in and are very friendly. I almost feel I am not in a sandwich shop, as each time I've come in and ordered an employee has always asked me if I needed anything else or how everything tasted. So far this place has exceed my expectations in how to treat your customers. About the only thing that makes it lose one star is that I wish their subs came in at a better price point. Full, two size subs (depending on choice) can cost over $16 not including a drink and chips. That adds another 2.79 per sandwich. I had never been to Firehouse Subs and just wanted a quick sandwich on my way home. A "quick" sandwich turned into waiting over 30 minutes for a cold turkey sandwich... I could have gone to the store and got everything I needed to make it at home and have been done eating it by the time I got my sandwich. Usually the sliced tomatoes at a sub shop are tasteless & mushy but it's quite the opposite here! Good value for the money as well-- I got a medium but was full after only half.
