My wife and I were in town for a wedding and wanted a small breakfast. I found this on yelp so decided to give it a try. It was really good. I had the cinnamon bagel. Maybe cinnamon blast, don't recall the exact name, but I asked for it to be toasted with butter. My wife was in the mood for pumpkin spice so she got it toasted with cream cheese. This place did not disappoint. I got a regular coffee with my bagel and it was really good. The bagel flavor was spot on. It took a little longer than expected to get our bagels but that was fine. We weren't in a hurry and they were incredibly nice. Oh, one side note. Be prepared to pay extra for butter and cream cheese. 85 cents for butter and I believe almost 3 bucks for cream cheese. That surprised me. But hey. I'd still eat there again. I would say the place is a little unkept. It's a neat place but the decor as you enter hasn't been cleaned in a while. The tables were clean but the area isn't really clean. My wife said the bathroom was gross. That was my biggest complaint. They need someone to look at the place through the eyes of a first time guest and would notice a ton of small cleaning issues. Otherwise this place is great. As I mentioned before, I'd definitely recommend this place for a great bagel. read more

I came in and got a toasted poppyseed bagel with cream cheese, and a small hot chocolate. The price was a little bit high. The bill came up over nine dollars. The toasted part wasn't real good. I don't know if they might did or just lightly toasted it, but you didn't feel any kind of crunch And it only felt somewhat warm. But maybe the cream cheese is cool it. Heard about this place. In the area so stopped in. Pretty good. Clean, nice attitudes, decent prices, decent selection, coffee not Military Java by any means-Not strong enough. Minor thing is: where they are located at. Kinda easy to miss/difficult to see/find. Need better exposure. Across the East side parking lot of the QT at the corner of Tyler & 13th N. I went through the drive-thru, and particularly when you're driving from Nebraska to Texas, you need a nice quick stop that offers something delightful. Bakers Haus didn't disappoint. COFFEE: the smallest size is a 16oz, so I expected the espresso to be horrible, but I had them make a plain latte with half the milk and was surprised that the taste of the espresso was nice. I would order it again. BAGEL: its different than any other bagel I've had. More dense, less shiny, and yet... it was delightful. I just had a plain bagel, toasted, with plain cream cheese. First time visiting since the ownership change. Pretty disappointed. I used to love the rise n shine on an everything bagel, so I got the same today. What used to be a fresh chewy, cheesy, bacon and eggy delight. Is now bready, has rubbery fast food-esque egg Patty, with a nonexistent level of cream cheese. I got one strip of bacon on an 8 dollar breakfast sandwich. The girl working was super sweet and helpful. But that didn't stop the bad aftertaste left after that skimpy gas station quality sandwich. Super disappointed how much portions were cut(especially in the areas people want!) Yet prices went up. I don't think I will be back RIP BAGEL HAUS. read more

I honestly don't know why this place is still open. I tried giving this place another chance and still is terrible. I ordered the bagel dog which was extremely over cooked and dry, I couldn't even bite into it. I also got a latte and there was no signs of espresso in there, it just tasted like milk. This place is super cute! It was a little bit difficult to find but I blame my phone's navigation for that I got a bagel and a smoothie. The bagel was 10/10 and the smoothie was 2/10. The bagels are good and the coffee is pretty good too. I appreciate that the everything bagels don't have caraway seeds on them. The "tapenade" is neither tapenade nor worth your money IMO. Absolutely hands-down the best bagels you'll ever find in Wichita in the surrounding areas. I love bagels so so much are used to own a bakery but I can never get them down and there's just no where to get a good bagel, Panera isn't very good and that's about the best place to go but I don't go there so when I asked all my friends where you can get a good bagel everyone said Bakker's haus, I looked it up and saw that they made homemade bagels and just by looking at the picture I could tell they really were handmade boiled the way New York bagels are supposed to be and by the next morning I had half a dozen bagels and several different kinds of Schmeer's. I'll tell you what that plain bagel is the best bagel I've had in my entire life. That day I eat bagels for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I got the honey cream cheese, as well as the green chili and cheddar cream cheese and I can't tell which one I love more. My sister is also a bagel fan so I had to go back and get her some and now it's my weekly routine. I cannot wait to buy the white chocolate cranberry bagel for my mom that's her favorite kind of cookie and I've never seen it and bagel farm and I cannot wait to surprise her. Every time I go, I bring a friend with me yesterday my friend tried the brownie batter bagel and she kept messaging me to tell me how amazing that made her morning. I just love this place so much. I hope they're around for a very long time. I don't know what I would do without them and I'm so grateful I found them and yet kind of sad I didn't find them until now. Keep up the great work. This place is not worth the time or money. We drove 25 minutes to try this place. Ordered two asiago bagels with garlic/cheddar "schmear" . The cream cheese was LITERALLY the constancy of sour cream. it was not good and honestly gross because of the texture. Not to mention, my bagel was covered in this goop. This obviously was very messy, which leads me to my next point.. There were no napkins out or even a station to get napkins, salt, pepper, utensils,.. it was very odd and frustrating. Try to come once a week. Overall, usually satisfied. They were out of multigrain bagels, out of bagel dogs. Ordered a plain bagel with veggie cream cheese, tomato and bacon. When I received my order, I questioned if they used veggie cream cheese. She assured me there were carrots in my spread. But it looked like regular cream cheese. Absolute worst customer service I've ever experienced. I walk in at 12:00pm, excited to try this place for the 1st time. The lady behind the counter (blonde hair, heavy) angrily greeted me with "only a few options left, pick one." Already uncomfortable, I chose one. She then spouted out while throwing her hands "Cream cheese??? Toasted???" I nervously told her what I wanted, which was a settled decision because I'd never been there before. Annoyed, I asked her "are you okay?" to which she quickly replied "YEAH are YOU?" I gave this rude lady my debit card, knowing she did not deserve my money. I was starving. Going off of the google reviews, this is not the 1st time she's treated paying customers like this. How embarrassing! Yikes! And to top this experience, my bagel was bland. We are not from Kansas and were in town for a meeting. We wanted to explore and have a breakfast that wasn't the typical Midwestern eggs and hash browns. We google mapped and saw this place listed, with variable reviews. We decided to check it out for ourselves. It was great! We were probably the first customers of the day and were the lone customers, but the selection, and food were perfect. The waitress did not "schmooze" with us but was efficient, and the atmosphere, which featured local art for sale, was very interesting. Overall a great experience.
