I washed and pressed four shirts and one of them ended up ripped. The store clerk didn't bring it to my attention until I double checked my order. The person that helped me, got a manager who I think was the owner. He didn't acknowledge anything. He just said shirts rip in the elbow. My shirt was in good condition and the rip was on the sleeve. I have been going here for a year now on a recommendation of a friend . I switched from Manhattan Beach Cleaners http://www.yelp.com/biz/manhattan-beach-cleaners-brooklyn in an attempt to save money. Now I am finding myself regretting my decision- the funny part is that Manhattan Beach Cleaners has two stars and these guys have five on yelp... here are my experiences with Baron Cleaners in no specific order but which have occurred in the past year Pro -reasonable prices and they often have coupons in the Valpack Cons -rude unprofessional staff -poor laundering service -- my husbands white shirts somehow became beige -- buttons cracked and then when brought to their attention they blame the age of the shirt ( new shirts-fyi) -poor dry cleaning service which has now cost me more than what I have saved in switching for a year. -- destroyed a $500 summer dress and said its not their fault the material is so thin (really??) --refused jobs that are "too complicated" that Manhattan Beach Cleaners has done for me many times -crap alteration services --butchered a simple seem opening to the point where I stopped wearing the dress I guess its true you get what you pay for as I never had any of these issues at the other cleaners. -- about me -I am not scared by the dry clean only label on clothes -my dry cleaners bill was never under $80 a week and when I go on vacation it was usually at least $300 - with Manhattan Beach Cleaners those numbers were higher by about 25% but I never had any real issues. Even when Manhattan Beach Cleaners was flooded by Sandy they gave me back my clothing ( after 2 weeks) looking freshly done -my clothes are designer and anything truly vintage is handled by real professionals in the city -never had the guts to try Barons leather or fur cleaning -am I now an ex-Baron cleaners customer as of 4/7/2014 when I picked up $98 worth of cleaned clothing and had to point out to them the broken buttons on my husbands shirts and suit oh and I think the best thing about Barons is that the owner tried to post a positive yelp review which is hidden in the "reviews that are not currently recommended" ... same Eduard F. that wrote "Baron cleaners-where knolege and experience come together" well it was not great while it lasted and I am sorry I kept giving them second and third and fourth chances. So in short I wouldn't recommend trusting their "knolege and experience" as I have not seen either one of those qualities exhibited. read more

I bring my business attire for dry cleaning here. They charge me a low rate and get the job done. Anything out of that scope, the front desk/phone lady starts to malfunction. She never knows anything. Its always "Let me ask my boss" or "My boss isnt here, he gives prices." Also its not the same girl everytime so i just think managment needs to educate these people, that we first meet and greet, to be more informative. It just looks unprofessional and turns away a boat load of customers when the whole team isnt on the same page -IMHO. read more

They had also scuffed all my buttons. Had the length of my sleeves shortened, and the sleeves aren't even straight. Overall sloppy job. The same with the pants; had it shortened and now they aren't even straight. When I was getting them tailored, the tailor had the nerves to ask me if the lengths are okay after I told him, I don't know what do you think. And he told me no. No you pick. I understand he wants it to be my fault if the lengths are to my liking later. But I'm not the professional tailor. COME AT YOUR OWN RISK. I brought in my Canada Goose jacket that I just bought and only had worn for three months. It was brand new. It came back to me damaged, there was a cut above the first button and some marks that looked like it was burned, the button looks slightly melted is the best way I could describe it. I have photos attached. They did not take any responsibility or damaging my jacket or even give me a refund for the dry cleaning. They accused me of bringing it in already damaged, told me my jacket was not brand new and talked me in circles. They offered to fix the cut for me for me and in the situation I felt so helpless I just agreed because I didn't see what else I could do at the moment. I also have photos attached of it after they "fixed" it. But I brought in a brand new jacket and I expected a brand new jacket back. I did not ask for a tailored jacket. Words could not even describe how upset I was. This was the first time I've splurged on an expensive jacket only to have it ruined after a few months of wearing it. I do not see myself ever even going to a dry cleaners anytime in the near future. If you choose to come to this establishment, do so at your own risk. If they damage your belongings, its tough luck for you because nothing is their fault. read more

Tip top guaranteed the same affordable prices and the same good service . Not true at all . Barron matched the prices for the first couple of weeks and then prices tripled . I spoke to a bald-ish man who gave me a dirty look, said something in another language to the female working there, and then told me TWO days (for such a simple job!). If they damage your cloth, be ready to a reply such as "we don't care!" I had been using their service for some time already. I have witnessed before a couple of times how unprofessionally and rude they (staff members and owners) were with customers who were complaining about new dirty spots at the cleaned cloth or even lost items, and I heard how they were telling/ yelling to customers that that this is "their (customers) problems!" Here came a time when I had to experience the same rude, discussing attitude. After I picked up my staff I noticed some dirty spot on my shirt and also noticed that they did not put my blanket in to my laundry bag. I returned on a next day and simply asked about the dirty spots on my shirt. A man, I believe, the owner with disgusting attitude almost threw my shirt on me and reply is that "not his problem!" and when I asked about my blanket he said that I have to pay extra 20 dollar to clean it (seriously?). I even did not try to bother them with a question of why they did not put it back to my bag! Very unprofessional, rude, careless service!!!!
