I wanted to check with Delta Dental Insurance, but was told by MFD that Delta wouldn't cover me for 4-5 months, and this procedure couldn't wait that long. Believing them (22 years with this Practice), I went ahead. It took 20 minutes. THAT'S $40.00 A MINUTE! I called and checked with Delta Dental, and I could have been covered within 24 hours being I had previous insurance coverage. Their "misinformation" cost me $478.15 EXTRA DOLLARS, as Delta Dental's payment would have brought my cost to $337.00 TOTAL. Never again.

Mark Petryna kept cutting him off every time he tried to speak and trying to convey what his primary dentist had said course of treatment should be. Or to ask a question in general. Mark told my boyfriend the dentist only goes to school for 4 years and he knows more than he does and if he wasn't comfortable he could just leave. However, I didn't have a good experience with the dentist. The dentist was nice but wasn't really listening to what I was saying. I wanted to possibly replace a crown, address any problems they found in the X-rays, and that was it. She told me I had multiple cavities between my teeth but didn't show me a single X-ray. She then said I needed Invisalign. I like my smile, I just have a little crowding in my lower teeth. I told her I've had braces twice and I don't mind the crowding. She pushed for the Invisalign and also teeth whitening. I walked out with a list of work I 'needed' (more than $5,000 worth) and was pushed to make an appointment the next day to have impressions taken for the Invisalign. I didn't go back because I was really intimidated. After talking to a family friend who is a dentist, I felt especially uncomfortable about having work ordered after I hadn't seen a single X-ray.

I started going about 5 years ago and haven't stopped since. Dr. Grimes is great and the dental hygienist I am assigned to has really light hands. I think they still accept new patients - I called them up and made an appointment. Their location is a brand new office building. I still remember the make-shift house converted into a business property. But their new space is gorgeous with plasma tvs on the ceilings so you can watch tv while they work on your mouth. They keep the place spotless and the staff is always very welcoming. A great experience. I actually have an appointment tomorrow. :)
