Our ride in to Ft. Wayne from Chicago was very pleasant. The driver was friendly, and assisted us with our bags. I wish I could say the same for the trip back. The driver was short with us, did not assist us with our bags, and even left a passenger at a random unscheduled stop. Multiple passengers tried to remind him but he refused. The website that tracks where the bus is didn't work, no one answered the phone, and our bus showed up 2 hours later with zero notification to any customers of when the bus would be there. The bus smelled like pee, smoke, and there is no leg room. I put my bookbag on the floor in front of me and it was stuck to the floor and wet on the bottom when I picked it up. The bus was very nice. They usually are right on time and efficient. Their drivers are professional and helpful. I've been on the buses during heavy rain and heavy snow both. So, I decided to try out a new bus line besides mega bus. The site and service appeared to be more upscale but this is not the case. I was hoping for a more comfortable ride. Issue first started with the ticket as well as the site not being specific. It does not mention which stop in Cincinnati I was supposed to be at for the departure time listed (which megabus does). It is not mentioned on their site either and I assume they didn't have anyone up that early to answer my call. At the transfer spot in Indy, I thought that since I paid for barons that I'd ride barons all the way. This was not the case and not mentioned at all when I bought the ticket, in the confirmation, or even on the physical ticket itself. Luckily an employee pointed out that I was on a greyhound. Barons did use the greyhound terminals which could've been a warning but I assumed greyhound leased out some of their spots. So all in all, I paid more for a ticket on a trip that ended up taking longer than megabus with less clarity. read more

Horrible driver on the Detroit route Friday. Older grandfather type and I use that term lightly as my Grandfather would never treat people as this man did.Rude, grumpy and expected everyone to stay quiet the whole time. He obviously hates his life. Discriminated against me in regards to my health which is private information and illegal for him to do. We just returned from yet another wonderful trip with Baron's!! I have reserved through Baron's at Least a dozen times and they never ever disappoint. I enjoy riding with this bus company. The drivers are on schedule and are no nonsense. The buses are clean and smell fresh. If there is a choice between them or greyhound on my ride to Columbus, I choose Barons hands down. They are the best in this area. read more

I used Barons bus from CLE to Chicago and had a great experience! Traveling alone I was a bit skeptical, but the staff made me feel so comfortable and the ride was a breeze and on time. Upon boarding the bus, the driver informed us that if he at any point hears someone's ring tone, he will stop the bus and force them to get off. If he hears anyone on the phone, he will stop the bus. If he hears anyone curse, he will stop the bus. The last one is understandable because there are children, but the first two are ridiculous. Threatening to drop a paying customer off where they could have no idea where they are and with no way to get home and to their destination is extremely unprofessional and inappropriate. As I was writing this review, he also informed us that though he is behind on schedule, he would -allow- us to have our scheduled break because he was feeling generous. This company is ridiculous. After 17 hours on a bus the last thing anyone needs is a bus driver on a power trip threatening to extend an already painful journey. read more

This was the worst experience I could have ever,words could not explain on how insulting the bus companies handle business.i f I could give it zero rating I would I would.We as Americans are shocked on how this bus company does not care about taking your money and then running all these delays and then have some nerve on placing the supervisor on the phone because the first customer service representative that I spoke to did not want to speak to me she had gotten frustrated and just put the phone down and had me sit there and wait for an amount of 10 to 15 minutes till supervisor got on I happen to be very upset and they did not come to a proper resolution to my problem Hey trip that should have said give me 18 hours took me three days what a shame. read more

I'm about ready to get a rental car as I write this. Took a rally bus and because of bad weather, we had to pull over and get a room. ( Baron's did not pay for or reimburse for) I hope that people were able to afford a room, seeing they gave no options. I'm still waiting to hear when we depart, as the highways and interstates are fine, but I'm still waiting in a Holiday Inn. Never again will I ride this bus, I rather hitch hike. If you have a inclement weather in the forecast, your company should have a plan, and let the paying customers in on it. This seems unorganized, and unprofessional. STILL WAITING FOR BUS..... 1.5 hours later. Can not find ANY information on where bus is, what happened, when it is arriving, IF it might arrive..... Called Greyhound bus services (who I booked through) and they could give "no info"... Said it was through "Barrons" and we needed to contact them. When we called that number it was a answering machine!!! We were stuck and no one cared and no one could Gove any info!! How do you lose someone's luggage on a bus ride from Miami University to University of Toledo? Ask Barons. Apparently this is their speciality. Makes me wonder if there isn't a scam happening there. This is a substandard bus service with rude drivers and poor customer service. Due to driver error, I missed my first bus and had to wait 5.5 hours to take the next bus. I called customer service and presented possible solutions but was told that I would only be refunded the bus fare and I would have to wait for the next bus departing 5.5 hours after the original scheduled bus. read more

Wonderful change from some of the older lines. BIG step up from greyhound coaches. Much better than mega service. Disappointed when LakeShore was no longer running to Buffalo, but now we have Barons. Absolutely perfect. Clean bus with a lovely modern interior. Nice scheduling. Wi-Fi. Operators have been nothing but gems. Helpful, friendly, attentive, great drivers. Special kudos to Julie. I took a bus from Ft. Wayne to Chicago - that was my first and last experience. The bus was packed, the seats are narrow and it was so loud! People were talking loud on their phones, music, kids screaming and it smelled! Then when people came in from smoking their brains out at a stop it also smelled like an ashtray. I live in Chicago and I am used to city buses but I expected this to be a more relaxing experience - NOT. (I had taken a Miller bus on my trip there and the driver insisted that people be quiet and respectful of other people - not on this bus!) It was also warm on the bus - we definitely needed more air conditioning. Never doing that again! read more

Just so everyone is aware if you are using a Go Bus over a weekend and need to cancel any portion you pretty much need to be a psychic and know before you go. You must give them 24 hours to cancel but they are closed the entire weekend so you can't actually notify anyone. It is intentional to rip college students off. Ticket booked on Friday, left Saturday morning, and had to get a ride from a friend to Sunday instead of Monday due to food poisoning. Tried notifying Go Bus Saturday and Monday(they were closed due to Labor Day) and could not get in touch with anyone. Spoke to them Tuesday when they re-opened and I was told I would have had to notify them Friday BEFORE close of business that I was going to get sick Saturday night to get a refund for not taking the bus back on Monday. Next time I will consult with a psychic before booking a ticket. read more

Ursala is a Horrible driver, that lacks driving skills. Her bus had No toilet paper and doesn't stop anywhere so you can rehydrate and pee! Weaves in and out of traffic, locks door behind her when she gets out and says if we do get out we have to pay for another ticket! Not only is this a health hazard but its now also a lack of paying attention! For 4 and a half hrs, from chicago to fort wayne, I myself along with 7 other passengers have not been able to pee, stretch, hydrate, or even breathe because it's so stuffy in her bus! read more

I don't yelp anymore. In fact I really dislike yelp for the way it encourages people to nitpick independent businesses for the sake of seeming witty or cool in a stupid online review. But OMG avoid baron's bus if you can. I've riden greyhound in the US and many buses while traveling abroad and never had such a ridiculous experience lacking communication and with such long delays. 10 out of 10 will avoid in the future. read more

I was a passenger on your bus on 4/19/2018 from Cincinnati headed to Detroit. There was some sort of employee(drivers) standoff with the company and no drivers would take us to Detroit. While every bay was a Greyhound bus at the terminal we had no idea what was going on until later. After about 4 hours and being reissued new tickets we were on our way. We boarded the bus and the driver "D" made an announcement that we were headed to Indianapolis before Detroit (and a few other small town spots included also) By the time we reached Ft.Wayne Ind. We were told that this was a 10 minute stop only. A women who appeared as if she had not eaten decides to possibly order food from some local diner. Everyone was back on the bus except the little lady who got off in search of food. The lady walks on the street side of the bus and unknowingly jogged in front of the bus. She appeared to be disoriented( she could of been looking for a Greyhound bus) instead of the Baron bus. Driver 'D" only said "hey" through the glass, she did not honk the horn, because all buses have a loud distinct horn sound . Driver "D",s response was "oh well" Wrong answer. The poor lady was left behind in a strange city with all of her belongings still on the bus. What if she was on meds and needed them? What if her cell phone was still on the bus? No one on the bus came to her defense. Is this treatment normal for Baron,s drivers ? I will never ever ride your buses and I will spread this story to warn anyone to do the same because of the shameful treatment I witnessed this week. read more

This seems to be a small, family run company. My biggest complaint is being able to contact them, their offices are completely closed on Saturday and Sunday, as if no one rides their busses on the weekends. Even if you do contact them, the staff seems very unknowledgeable. They completely rely on their website to order tickets, or to see bus schedules. Outside of the website they cannot help you much. I actually was trying to buy tickets on their sight when it was down. When I finally got ahold of someone (which was on a Monday because they were closed during the weekend), they told me to just keep pressing the refresh button on the website, when I thought they may just take care of it over the phone because the website was not working. They did e-mail me back within a few hours on a Saturday though when I used there e-mail service. I would give them a "4" for their service once you get to the station, they are very kind and patient, more so than Greyhound staff, but I hate not being able to get in touch with anyone if I have a question or need help. read more
