Delivery problem to begin. Bought top of line washer dryer supposed to be delivered same day. Only dryer delivered. Had to put another day aside w 4 hour window for delivery. Since day 1 washer always stops after rinse cycle won't go into spin. Have to reset, skip rinse and go to drain. Clothes aren't getting fully washed. I've had 3 service calls and am waiting for a 4th. Very dissatisfied with this 1200 dollar read more

When you pay over $3,000 for a Bosch refrigerator and purchase the 5 year extended warranty, the last thing you expect is for it to break down in 25 months. Ours did. Baron's repair service, "Reliable Appliance Service", said parts would take two weeks to arrive, even though the "Reliable" website boasts the largest inventory of appliance parts in the US and Canada. Two weeks turned into four. A month is a long time to go without refrigeration. We bought bags of ice daily to keep a few basic needs cold. We asked for a loan of a small dorm sized unit but they would not even provide this. We decided to scrap the Bosch. We had it hauled away and bought a Whirlpool from a small local family-run appliance store. I still have a hard time thinking any store would expect customers to go through this. read more

I bought a whole set of appliances here a few years ago. The stove has never worked right. In the middle of random baking cycles it will shut off and flash random numbers and become unusable for an undetermined amount of time. Refrigerator is the worst. All the parts easily snapped off (shelves, accessories, etc.) and when I asked for someone to come repair it earlier into having it the repairman didn't ring the doorbell and then said I wasn't home (I work from home so I absolutely was) and wanted to charge me to come back. Barrons does a VERY POOR JOB with communication, follow through and overall competency. Two interactions that illustrate the problems with this company: 1. Purchased Electrolux washer & dryer 11/23. The dryer broke 2/24 and it took 5 weeks for service calls to diagnose and repair. It was a very frustrating to work through their laborious repair process. The dryer failed AGAIN 7/24 and we were faced with the options of having no dryer for the next 5 weeks (we were told that we had to go through 3 "appliance failures" before getting a new machine). Because we had family coming for a reunion, we opted to purchase a new dryer and hope to be reimbursed. We were fortunate to have the resources to make this purchase. We were eventually given a store credit. 2. In 8/24 purchased a 36 induction cooktop to replace one that broke (same size and overall dimensions). Complicated installation process required a visit by a measuring person who stated the original opening was too small by an 1/8 of an inch and would require the stone be cut. The charge for this would be $550. On the day of the installation the team that showed up did not have the equipment or skill to cut the stone. They decided to try to install the new cooktop and it fit the original opening PERFECTLY; no cutting was required. This is highly problematic - if not for the fact that Barrons booked the wrong installation team, we would have paid $550 for something we did not need. REGARDLESS of whether this error was due to incompetence or purposeful, there is something very wrong here. There are other appliance stores with the exact same products that are better options. The prices are no different and as I was told by a sales person "we all buy from the same manufactures ". I would take my business to one of those other stores. read more

We purchased a LG stove on December 13, 2024 and on September 20, 2025 placed a service call because the oven no longer worked and was coding a F9, heat distribution problem. It is now October 28, 2025 and not fixed. Service repair company stood me up the 1st appointment and "emergency" yeah not an emergency it was due overlooking. Waited another 2 weeks they showed up, no parts, have to wait at least another 2 weeks. Obviously it's under warranty & we purchased extended as well. Because we are not a "paying customer" we are the lowest on the list and there is no urgency the repair service barron's use for subcontractors are inadequate, rude customer service. l be contacting BBB and attorney general and anybody else who will listen, we purchased warranty and expect them to uphold. we don't matter. Called Nick the store manager he attempted to pacify me. Have left 3 detailed v/m with no call backs definitely ignoring me. Obviously they don't uphold their responsibility on the purchases from their store. Asked for either quicker service repair or a replacement stove received neither. it's been two more months since the first review, my speed oven that hasn't worked since install last year still has not been repaired. Called the store manager a month ago and was told he would get right on it and get it taken care of. Crickets!!! What a terrible way to treat a customer and not stand behind your high end appliances after spending 50k on them. My last resort is an attorney, what kind of company lets it get to this point? It took 4 deliveries for a refrigerator. First delivery attempt they could get the old one out and said the new one was too big . We got the old one out and had the delivery of the new one however defective . Had the third delivery scheduled but to find the refrigerator damaged . Fourth delivery was the day before thanksgiving and it said between 9:30 and 2:30. It did not arrive til 7:30 and we had to cancel our Thanksgiving plans . They didn't finished till 10pm. I bought and received 3 appliances. When I received them Two of the three were damaged or did not work. The damaged fridge they took care of in a couple of days but the stove was a different story. They didn't have another one in stock so they offered me a "Loaner" The loaner was a out of box damaged appliance that they wanted me to pay them another $900 for, then I could rent a truck for another $100 to pick it up myself in Bedford. Once the service team came and fixed the delivered broken one ( scheduled for 3 1/2 weeks from now) I could rent another truck for another $100 and return the "loaner" stove back to Bedford and wait to get my $900 back. "THIS IS THE BEST WE COULD DO FOR YOU" REALLY!!!!!!! So their best is for me to now take 3 partial days out of work for 2 delivery windows and a service call. Fork out another $1100 out of my pocket for the next 5 weeks. This is NOT good customer service!!! All this days before Thanksgiving with my while family coming. I will never buy from them again. I will go back to the BOX stores where I can at least expect to be treated this way. I expected better from a Family owned business!!! read more

baron's just lost me as a customer. My wife was drying clothes when she smelled smoke. We found that the vent in the drum had a black burned charcoal like substance. When I pulled out the dryer we found that the vent hose had burst and the lint was all burnt....could have burned our house down. Update: Another lie from Barons. Its a 40% restocking fee, not $40. Unbelievable. I'm going to delete this review in 24 hours because I do not want to hear or see the name Barons ever again. Been going to Barons for 40 years. Not anymore. Just purchased Maytag Washer & Dryer. Delivery was ok. They charged me $25 to have the dryer door switched to open right to left. They said they had to charge $25 because it had to be switched in the factory. The deliver guys installed the door in my driveway. Took them 30 seconds. Called to complain and they just danced around it. In addition, the W&D were cheaper at Home Depot. Should have gone with them, but I wanted to help Small Business. Another lesson learned. Was also told that these models are of the same quality as the ones we purchased from Barons back in 2011. Another lie. Had to do everything over the phone because they did not have the Maytag's in their showroom, only high end appliances. Update: We just talk with them. We asked to replace the cheap dryer with a more expensive one. They want a 40% restocking fee after one day! Zero stars. Reporting them to BBB and Hank at Channel 7 today..DO NOT BUY ANYTHING THERE. Update: The Business owner just replied and did not even address the main issue of the 40% restocking fee after one day and danced around the $25 owed to me. BBB and Channel 7 have been notified. I just spent $949 for a middle of the road dishwasher from this company where I had previously purchased multiple appliances over thirty years. Something has clearly happened to this once impressive company. After one week of sending emails looking to get a tiny part that should have been identified as missing by the installers, I finally got a text message from an employee plaintively explaining she (after two days of receipt of my email) had notified her manager who notified service. Then she referred me via text to Service. At which point I received the following: "we'll be in touch shortly". Then I received it again - only to find out from the employee who had responded to me that "shortly" meant tomorrow morning after 9:00am. REALLY? Why not just say we'll be in touch tomorrow morning? So - 1. how do installers who actually assembled the unit and ran a test cycle miss a part that keeps the top shelf from falling out of the dishwasher? 2. Why does it take someone two days to even answer? 3. Why does a manager not follow up? 4. Why does a service department not respond with their actual working hours? 5. Worked with them quite a bit and it was ok. Wanted to get a subzero fridge. They sent over the delivery person who said I couldn't get one due to the ceiling height. Ended up going to subzero and they said I absolutely could get one and my ceiling height would not be an issue. The barons sales guy never even called me back. We bought 6 appliances here, largely because they pitched a significant rebate. But of course, their rebate company has been dragging out repayment for months, asking for photos asking for more info every time we gave them what they said they were asking for, until the rebate period expired. In my opinion, if Baron's uses sleazy partners who give terrible customer service, then Baron's also gives a terrible customer experience. If not for those rebates, we probably would have bought somewhere else. I will never go back there again. Protect your wallet, and go somewhere honest with clear, upfront pricing and never get sucked in by rebates. Just an overall low class operation. read more

I had been going back to Baron's for 15 years, and each time the service and product were less impressive. This time I purchased all new appliances for the kitchen. I was talked into the same model (GE) for all appliances. The first refrigerator was too big to go into home ; the next model fit just fine, but was told I could have gotten a bigger model. The refrigerator has not worked properly since we purchased it. We have been unable to use the refrigeration part for 3 weeks and it will be another 2 weeks before any kind of service comes out. If 0 stars was an option, I would give that. We had a good experience with Baron's years ago, but it has been terrible ever since. Today was terrible once again...not sure why we even went back. Did our research on the washing machines, even texted with Baron's via their contact text and gave them all the information. Went to the store, the salesman was giving us the wrong information about the models (felt like a used car salesman who didn't know his cars) and then at the end upsold stuff and made the whole experience miserable. Sadly, when I checked back in on the text thread, they were no better and simply went to radio silence when I asked why they were allowing their salesman to change the pricing and details. Left the store without purchasing...went to another appliance place...will never go back to Baron's. Customer service is awful. They do not know their machines/appliances. They change the terms of the pricing and "deal" right at the end making it seem like upsells are the only way to make the appliance work. It's GROSS how they treat their customers. read more

We went into the store and had a very good experience with the sales person. He helped us find the dishwasher that we needed and it was a very quick process to place the order. We were in and out of the store in about 20 minutes. Excellent job. The delivery was also good. The guys that came to the house to deliver and install the dishwasher did a very nice job. The only reason I gave this review three stars and not five was because of the person that communicated for the delivery people. I found her to be rude. We tried to track down when the guys would be at my father's house for the installation. The woman that we dealt with was very rude in my opinion. Her name was Michelle. Other than that, it was an excellent experience. It's too bad that I couldn't have given it five stars. But the exchange I had with Michelle left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

The problem is with their service, our experience with them not been good over the years. The latest is I just found out that a Miele dishwasher can't be serviced by them, only authorized Miele service can work on it and since there aren't very many it will take over 2 weeks to get someone out. We purchased a kitchen appliance package (double oven, cook top, microwave and vent) from Baron's Salem. We bought all high end appliances and did not compare prices so I can offer no comment on that. Sales representative was knowledgeable, seemed honest and delivery was trouble free. Sadly our Meile double oven has needed some repairs. We opted to cover all appliances with extended 5 year warranty on advice of sales representative. Before purchasing the agreement I made sure of what I considered the most important aspect of warranty coverage. "Who do I deal with if service is required?" The Baron's sales rep. specifically indicated we (Baron's) do. "Call me and we handle the whole thing." We had a problem with the oven cleaning cycle and called Baron's. I actually connected with our salesman and before I could even finish the description he indicated that we needed to call the warranty company! I reminded him that he specifically told us to call Baron's. I could tell he clearly remembered our sales conversation and he was at a loss for words as to why that was no longer (or never) Baron's policy. We were forced to deal with the warranty company; Warrantech Consumer Products Services 800-543-8890. It took over 4 months and untold hours of phone conversation to finally resolve the cleaning cycle problem. The biggest obstacle was that no repair service within 50 miles of Boston would honor repairs reimbursed by warranty company. We are currently struggling with a second issue, same oven, and are 2 months into resolution. We are totally satisfied with the Meile oven. These are small repairs that occurred outside of manufacturers warranty. Meile actually repaired the first issue and their technician muscled the Warrantech to reimburse us. Look, don't buy extended warranties. I knew this but felt convinced that Baron's would be vested in this coverage we purchased. The fact that Baron's takes the warrant sales pitch to new levels of dishonesty is the sickening thing. They clearly profit from pushing the coverage and will simply tell you anything to clinch the sale. They knowingly take your money for selling a service they know is rubbish and will cost customers hours, days, weeks, and months of frustration. Hate the fact that I had to spend time writing this and if I can discourage one customer from falling into this trap it is worth it. read more

This was our first experience shopping at Barons. We were contacted via email by Mike Loiselle from the Plaistow, NH store and from that point on the whole process was pretty seamless. Mike was professional and knowledgeable. We let him know which range and refrigerators were were considering and he prepared quotes for us and an appointment to come into the store to look at the units in person. He met us in-store, walked us through the comparison and went over the delivery and installations options with us as well as preparing rebate paperwork. Delivery was professional and on-time. I had no problem with the sales guy. Polite and professional. Their delivery team is where the problem is. I ordered a complete GE appliance package, and upon delivery, the driver refused to bring in the refrigerator into the house because he claimed it would not fit. Without the fridge doors it measures under 29". My door opening is 31". Still, he insisted it wasn't possible. He would manipulate the tape measure by sticking the end of it over 3" past the width of the unit and saying "see, it's too big". He then went into asking me "how much do I have". After asking him what is he talking about multiple times, he finally clarified it was more money he was seeking. I said all I have is $20 in cash. He then said "it will not fit" once again and put the unit back in the truck. There is zero doubt in my mind that if I had more money to give, he would have brought it in. Upon contacting my sales person, he confirmed that it will in fact fit and they have delivered that same fridge to other homes with a 31" door with no problem. We rescheduled a second drop off. On the second attempt with the same unit the drivers instructions on the paperwork were to remove the fridge doors, a common task according to the sales guy. The driver measured the unit and my house door opening and confirmed "no problem". Then when driver got about 3 minutes into the removal of the doors, he totally changed his stance and said it will not fit unless I remove the entire door casing from the house. He stated he also does not have enough time to continue with the fridge door removal because he "had other deliveries to make" and wanted to leave. Out of utter frustration, I told him to just put it in the garage and I'll do it myself. I spent about 5 minutes removing the fridge doors and my brother and I easily brought it into the house without touching a piece of the door casing! So yes, a less than 29" unit will in fact fit through a 31" opening. Amazing. Now, dealing with the Delivery Department and issuing a complaint is the new issue. Every time I'm promised a return call from the manager, I hear nothing back. There has been multiple attempts. All I've gotten from the person who answers the phone is "so what do you want us to do about it"? It's not their problem anymore. I would discourage anyone who is not willing to carry their own appliances into the house from buying from Baron's. Once they drop them in the driveway it's your problem and the customer service becomes non-existent. Maybe the big box stores are not so bad after all. read more

Barrons website allowed me to find the best model for my needs. I called the Salem NH store, the very pleasant sales person (Caylin) answered my questions and had my order ready when I came in to pick it up. If I had to choose where to buy my appliances, Baron's would be my first and only stop because the appliances last for many years. We bought a new home in 2002. Furnished it with a microwave, stove, dishwasher, refrigerator. I can tell you that today, 2019 or 17 years later, all those appliances are still working. We bought a washer and dryer from a local store - Richards Appliance - and they broke down almost immediately. We replaced the washer with another from Richards and it is junk. Comparing the two, there is no comparison because Baron's will travel 30 minutes to our home to provide appropriate service at an affordable and honest fee. Whereas Richards are thieves. I wish there was a way we could swap out washer and dryer for credit and replace with new by Baron's. But st the moment, we need to continue using these until they are dead. I certainly recommend Baron's for their appliances and service. They are the best around. read more

Barons has been around a long time, so I thought I would shop in the Salem NH store. Salesperson greeted me at the washing machines. He was not pushy and was quite pleasant. I purchased a Maytag, paying more than I wanted to spend. The first delivery crew brought a damaged machine so I sent it back. Second delivery was a different crew who left the new machine without ensuring water flowed. Apparently they did not know how to turn the water back and the tech left. I called the Delivery rep and the Sales rep to complain - I have my new washer and it's of no use. Calling a plumber was my only option, said the reps. I called my neighbor who found the valves in my basement, took a minute and turned the water on. A reputable business would train their service techs in quality service. Not simply infer "I can't figure out where to turn the water back on, call a Plumber". read more

My first interaction was amazing after dealing with a big box store purchase that end up getting cancelled the day before delivery. I was able to purchase a new refrigerator with no issue and have it delivered quickly. Unfortunately, the home renovation took a turn and ended up getting pushed further out so the new refrigerator sat in the box for a few months untouched. We finally went to install it and there were major issues with it. The frame and body were way off and there was no way it would fit. I contacted Baron's and they quickly said they would replace it. Once the process started is where things took a turn. I was told there would be a restocking fee even though we were swapping out the fridge for the same exact thing. We ended up getting the new fridge in and it fit without issues. I contacted Baron's, since now I knew it was a defective fridge. They said the manager would call me in a few days. Instead of the manager calling me, he had his employee call me to tell me nothing could be done. I wasn't very happy, I understand policies, but sometimes the situation needs to be looked at and handled differently. I did put a 1 star review out there because I did not want to see anyone else deal with the same type of issue. I was contacted by the district manager, he reversed the charge which I appreciated. The reason for the change in review and stars is I believe that a business or person and redeem themselves even after a negative interaction. I don't feel that the refund was a way to make me go away. I feel that I was heard, the situation was looked at again and then the decision to refund was given. DON'T BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE. I bought a LG fridge three years ago from Baron's. The compressor died on it. I went to the Plaistow store (after leaving messages at both the Salem and Plaistow store, via the telephone, that were not returned) and asked about getting service. I was told there was no record of my calls and then I was asked if I purchased the Five Year Warranty. Baron's called the next day telling me it would be over a week before they could come out and I had to pay for the call right then and there. I had to call a private repair man that cost me $130. HERE IS WHAT HE TOLD ME: LG had had a class action suit against them for their fridges and that, if I called them, they would put in a new compressor at not charge and pay for the lost food. WHY DIDN'T BARON'S TELL ME THAT UP FRONT?!? I wouldn't even have had to pay for $130 service fee! read more

These guys got it all. My man Hunter Graves was outstanding. Young man with knowledge beyond his years. He knew washer and dryers inside and out . They price match with the big box store s. The big difference is I was greeted and treated like a customer in Barons unlike the Big orange store down the street . I had a couple questions whiny my guy Hunter was out . No problem Mike and Ryan treated me like I was their customer. I didn't feeling like you not my customer.. I don't care. These guys took the time to make sure all my questions were answered. The delivery team was top notch. Set up and removal of my old washer and dryer was a breeze. I even had a change post delivery... no problem these guys rock. Btw the washer and dryer are great . I wish I could rate 0 My bf and I went in to Plaistow location today, ready to purchase high end refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave and dishwasher. We were happy to go to New Hampshire to vote with our dollars because we were happy to shop mask free. The store was massive and there were only 2 other customers (another couple) We were told we had to wear masks. I told the clerk that we were there because the mask mandate was lifted. He then went to his manager who came out and told us that the owners of the store demanded people wear masks. He was so incredibly rude. Where is the common sense??? The store was EMPTY!!!! I called the store in Salem and was treated with equal rudeness and disrespect. These people are not a friend of Patriots. They are an enemy to We The People. Never again. I chose to shop local and small and had a good experience in the past with Baron's. Not this time. I purchased a Thermador stove and stainless fridge and dishwasher, plus a dryer (so, not a cheap purchase by any means!) and the entire experience was riddled with problems. The delivery dates were wrong and poorly communicated, the installation of the stove never happened despite three calls to confirm they could in fact, install the stove (and two separate crews arrived and then said no, they could not) and the sales rep - Ryan - did as little as possible to help. Not only did he never confirm if they could actually install the stove (despite 3 calls and then I got his out of office!) so I had to go elsewhere, the dryer was delivered THREE TIMES and THREE TIMES it was delivered damaged. I demanded a refund and have gone elsewhere at this point and have received zero correspondence, apologies, or any attempt to rectify the situation. The worst customer experience I have ever had and the amount of time and energy I spent calling them repeatedly and clarifying or trying to get updates and well, to GET a working dryer, was an inordinate amount. I went there today with a fairly large budget and ready to make a decision/purchase on a suite of appliances (Fridge, Range, Vent, Dishwasher & Microwave) and elected to go there not just for NH tax reasons, but given the state of NH had lifted the mask mandate, wanted to shop mask-free (rewarding NH & their business community for that decision). The store in Plaistow was barren. Only one other customer. We went in and were immediately treated rudely, instead of can we help you, was put your mask on. When asked to speak with the manager, eventually he came out and said it was a private store and their policy. When we noted that the store was basically empty, and there was no common sense factor, he again stated that he didn't care that we were ready to buy, and we had to mask up. When we retreated down the street, the restaurant was packed with un-masked patrons, in close proximity. Obviously, the virus is attracted to the stainless steel in the appliances and not onion rings. Bottom Line: although all their stores are in NH, and NH state Gov lifted the mandate, this private organization is not well suited for Patriots or folks with common sense. DK read more

Baron's has REFUSED TO HONOR THEIR SERVICE WARRANTY. They have used every run-around excuse in the book. Our dishwasher, purchased 2 years ago, stopped working in September 2020. The repairperson sent by Baron's said we needed to replace 3 parts. Baron's called us a few weeks later and told us that instead of replacing the parts, they would replace the whole dishwasher. Since then, we've been waiting! We've called, we've talked to them in person at stores in Plaistow and Salem, and all we get from them is "It's on backorder", "It's on the truck", "You're number 34 on the list"...it's been 6 months, and we can see the same dishwashers for sale at Lowe's!! Plus, Baron's will charge us for installation of a new dishwasher, if it ever shows up! Do not go to Baron's! read more

We ordered a new over the range microwave, because ours had broken and a new stove just because it matched and we wanted a new set. We eventually will also be replacing our refrigerator and dishwasher. When we do we will not be returning to Barons. Our stove was delivered 2 weeks ago, with a missing piece to the lower drawer. Because of the missing piece we were told we should not have the drawer in place because it could bend it. The piece was ordered and set to be installed today. It was found out that the wrong piece to the stove was ordered after someone was already at our house to service it. The correct piece should be installed in another week. Mind you, this was a NEW applience that we purchased. I contacted the store manager expressing our disappointment and the fact that we now have to be home for the third time for our new applience to be installed correctly as it should have been the first time. We were told nothing could be done for the inconvenience in terms of a store credit or a refund of our installation fee. Clearly Barons doesn't care if they retain customers or not. They will be losing us as well as the business of our families. read more

I was in the market for a washer/dryer and was browsing the Baron's Major Brands website. I left my contact information and received an e-mail from Mike Losielle. I responded and asked him to provide me a price for the washer/dryer I was interested in. This was late in the day on Sunday but Mike was more than willing to provide me with a quote that night. I told him it could wait until morning, but I appreciated the willingness nonetheless. We communicated the next day and I made the purchase. Mike answered all of my questions and gave me a very fair price. Washer/dryer were delivered on Friday. I can only hope that the appliances are as good as the customer service I received. read more

Bought a washer from the Plaistow store in August. We picked it up ourselves, they loaded it in my truck but on its back when there are arrows etc right on the box. We purchased hoses with the washer which they forgot to give us. We called and talked to a Manager "Bill" who apologized and offered a refund and 10% off for our inconvenience. (we ended up getting the hoses closer to home) Well we got no refund or discount and after multiple messages left we finally went back today. They only gave us the refund for the hoses and would not honor the 10% discount. Would not buy from them again. read more
