    The Red Eye

Ordered the Red Eye burger. Asked for medium, eye over easy, raw onions and my fried to be crispy everything else is good on the burger. Burger over cooked, egg was burnt in the side and bottom, cooked onions & fries were cold and mushy. Then all they gave me was 10% of my meal which came to a whole $1.40. Needless to say I will not be going back if that is how they treat customers when 1 could have been the waitress or the cooks don't know how to read a ticket.

The food came out nice and hot. This was our first time here and really enjoyed it. The service was good and good vibes in the restaurant. If you're in the area check it out....

After shopping and being new to the area we stopped in for a quick cold beer. Jess was the bartender and she was very busy with the noon time crowd. She still welcomed us and made us feel at home in a very great place. The decor was so interesting and the food specials are so inviting that we will back for more than a cold beer.

I had lunch here the other day for the first time in years. The food was excellent. I had the oyster sandwich, which was filled with perfectly crisp fried oysters on a buttered roll with lettuce and tomato. They even give you a dill picket spear on the side. The natural cut fries were delicious and they give you so many. The fries have just the right amount of salt. The service was great! She was super attentive, like bringing you a refill before you ask attentive. They have plenty of seating including a bar area with high top tables. They also have daily specials. I don't eat burgers, but people swear by them. I have never had anything that didn't taste great. I really had a great dining experience at this Suffolk staple.

Very friendly and attentive waitress/bartender; casual sports bar atmosphere. My husband and I enjoyed the Lumpia and the Stuffed Mushrooms - they came out hot and were very tasty. We also had the fries which I love that they are fresh cut. They were tasty but a little too soft for me (my daughter would have loved them), so next time I would ask for extra crispy. The ranch and blue cheese on the side kicked them up a notch, too. We both plan on trying the burgers next time we go. Check them out when in Downtown Suffolk!

Food was good, just stopped in for a football game. Sat at the bar and the bartender was cool she paid attention to everyone and not just the regular customers. So I would say they had good service. The ambience was cool it gave you an old school pub feel

We decided to hop over here to catch specials for St. Patrick's Day and they also had karaoke going on. Would this first visir hold potential for yours truly? Our group was able to snag a table right across the bar with no issues. For the whole night, foot traffic wasn't heavy. For the pub itself, it is a bit dated, but nothing where major updates are needed. They also have a separate section for billards and you can also smoke while enjoying company. All of us did order food while some sang karaoke (I didn't participate). For myself, I selected a fried petals basket which came with their house sauce. It was good enough for me since I ate earlier. The food was very good. Each fried onion was very crispy and their house sauce was a great compliment. I also decided to have one of their house drinks. The fruit bomb which consisted of Three Olives Loopy vodka and Red Bull. The drink was very good. Not too strong and just right. And for you diabetics out there like myself, the vodka is sugar free. The Red Bull does add sweetness to the drink, but your carb intake will be just fine. For a first timer, it was a good experience. A nice staff with some good food and spirts on hand. I'll definitely make a return here soon :)

Whether it's with friends or just the two of us, we've never been disappointed. Let's see how this visit went. We were immediately seated once we walked inside. It wasn't completely packed for a Saturday afternoon but staff was really busy with customers. The vibe was one that made us comfortable for the most part. After a few minutes of looking over the menu, we were ready to order. My selection was the Tavern Monte Cristo which consisted of chargrilled chicken and ham as the protein with Gouda cheese and cider aioli fried in a tempura batter with tavern fries. The meal was served hot and ready and tasted great. And having the cranberry coulis as a dipping sauce really added some taste. My only gripe with the sandwich was the amount of protein. I'm not sure if I ate most of it when we dined in, but when I ate the rest for dinner, it was more breading than anything else. Still good but they could've included more. Nonetheless, I was full. Good stuff as always from Park Lane Tavern :)

I watched the severs do this at the four other tables that ordered during our meal. I HATE this! I want to start eating when my food is served. Overall the place was nice. The sauces were good, especially the beer cheese (at least they haven't changed that). What was pretty terrible were the pretzels themselves. They take the longer soft pretzel logs and cut them into bite size pieces. And then they are FRIED. Who fries soft pretzels? They were hard and greasy. This is the first time in our history of ordering a soft pretzel appetizer that we just couldn't finish it. They were that bad. For entrees Hubby ordered the crispy chicken Caesar and I got the burger with fries. Hubby's salad was huge, but there was way too much Parmesan cheese. He never did get a good taste of the dressing because of that. The chicken on the other hand was well fried and still juicy inside. I ordered my burger medium, and it came out mid-rare, which is how I eat them anyway. The burger itself was salty - guessing the flattop maybe hasn't been cleaned after lunch? The top bun spent a little too much time on the flat top as well. The pickles they use are sour (some people like that, I don't mind), but if you are not a fan of sour pickles, you'll want to skip them. Service was fantastic and it's a very clean place (restrooms are particularly clean). I am sure it is a great place to go for drinks - the bar is pretty extensive. But since we don't bar hop anymore, I don't think we will be going back. One last word on the pretzel appetizer because I am still shaking my head over that. If you want to serve pretzel bites so there are more ways to try all the dipping sauces, just purchase pretzel bites and bake them.

I went with the chicken tender platter and I'd get it every time I go back. Perfectly cooked tenders, fresh cut fries, a bowl of their homemade Mac and cheese & coleslaw. All for think $19? That's a steal, and ended up taking half of it home. This is definitely a place that we will continue to come back to. There's another bar & pool tables in the back as well I believe!
