I am so relieved that there is super thin, cracker-crust type pizza here in the South burbs.

We found her out in front of the restaurant talking to people as we left. But the food was definitely not worth the prices. We had the chicken marsala and chicken Parmigiano. We waited until March then looked for a venue to renew vows and have a celebratory meal with family and friends. As we both had been to Bella Mia several times together it was a short search. We originally planned the event with a former employee who left the restaurant as the date, (March 21st), was approaching. Randy the owner then took over. He made several suggestions different from what we'd originally planned, including changing the area of the renewal of vows and where our wedding officiate would be in front of the guests, but they turned out to be perfect!! The event was nothing short of fantastic! My wife had tears in her eyes much of the service! The food was spectacular, and everyone raved about it! Randy and his staff gave us a wedding to remember, and we are eternally grateful for what Bella Mia did for us and couldn't be happier that was the venue we chose!!!

We both love the pizza, and in fact, it's so good that we've hardly ever tried anything else. When we did stray off the pizza selection, the food has all been delicious. Contrary to popular belief, "Chicago Style" pan pizza isn't typically eaten every day by folks that live here. Everyone would be 1,000 pounds. The wife and I go to Louisa's probably 6-10 times a year because it's incredibly filling, but it NEVER disappoints. The service is always fantastic. I'm 99% sure the same family has owned it (Louisa's family - God rest her soul), so the whole "family vibe" is on full tilt at this place and it shows in their service. Servers who care about your business because the business itself is more than just a part time job. The restaurant is quaint, and is perfectly suited for either a date night or a full-on family function. Their side room is plant big enough to host a private party or event, and I know they often book that room for exactly that. But the real focus for us is the pizza. The pans that are used over and over again. The buttery crust that is always crispy and not too think. The ripe tomatoes that are always seasoned perfectly... the real of the show at Louisa's is their sausage. It's literally like none other we've ever had and we love it!! This place is a must try for locals that love pan pizza!

A few teens may occasionally come in but most aren't. This is popular with the locals and matures. Coming here certainly makes one think about how they stay in business. It's often got an empty parking lot. Thankfully they were open when I got there. It looks like a basic family owned business. They have been running it for years. It's about $12 for the Spaghetti. This is basic and filling thankfully. Great place to get homestyle Americanized food and beyond. It's open daily unlike almost every other restaurant around here. There's basic American food that's got mediocre seasoning but people like it or whatever.

That sounded promising, and since they're under new management, we figured we'd give them another try for dinner. Big mistake. They haven't improved at all--in fact, they've gone downhill. What they served as a "New York strip" was the same thin steak you'd expect with a steak‑and‑eggs breakfast. A cigarette is probably the same thickness as the piece of meat they brought me. I ordered it medium‑rare, and it arrived with a gray center. They did offer to re‑cook it, but I wasn't about to go through that. There's simply no way to cook a steak that thin like an actual steak, so I didn't even bother letting them try again. The place was practically empty on a Friday night--just one older man and a couple tucked away in a corner. Honestly, the empty parking lot should've been our warning. Total fail. Never again.

I like that the ordering area is right in front of you when you walk in, and that the boards with menu items are above. Off to the right are pastries and to the left is the gelato. Along the left wall are some two tops and to the right are some four tops. So, you can come here in a group, or on your own. The food: I asked for a tester of the strawberry cheesecake gelato. This was good. A little bit icey, but good flavor. My partner ordered a scoop of the chocolate chip in a cone and enjoyed it. I thought his was a little icey as well, but again had good flavor. There was a picture of a bagel with avocado and tomato on google maps, that I wanted to try. I asked what it was bc I didn't see it on the menu and they said it was the avocado toast. They offered to put it on a bagel, and I asked if cream cheese could be added. This bagel is fantastic. It's so fresh. And you can see how perfect the avocado was; it was perfectly ripe. They also added some olive oil and her , but they left off the feta and tomato. I think those two toppings would have made this epic. Nonetheless, it was yummy. The drinks: I ordered a chai tea latte because they said they made their chai syrup in house. When I tasted it, I realized they made it in water first, rather than in milk, and it wasn't spicy like a traditional chai. I could taste cinnamon, but I didn't taste cloves, cardamom, black pepper, anise, ginger, etc. This was okay. Next time I might try one of their tea bags because they have a large selection. My partner ordered a mocha. He said it was good. Parking: They have a shared lot out front and we were able to find a space without issue. Overall impression: I intend to come back to try more of their food items and other teas. The people who work here are wonderful and the location is great.
