We walked in during the bustling dinner rush and found the restaurant packed. The host greeted us warmly, and we found our way to the bar. The female bartender was there that my brother knows, so we sat down. I don't recall her name, but she was friendly and attentive. We both ordered blackened chicken caesar salads. The salads were pretty good. I honestly wasn't that crazy about the caesar dressing but it was edible. The salad and chicken were fresh though. Also, I didn't get sick, which is a plus considering the lettuce recalls lately. The portion size is generous as well. My brother had a beer flight too, which he always enjoys. The restaurant was crowded, but the bar area felt intimate. There were a lot of regulars around us, so people were familiar with each other. Everyone was friendly, which was cool. The environment was relaxed and comfortable. I'd definitely visit sometime in the future if the opportunity presented itself.

The one thing that was a little weird was that there were a couple bathrooms in the front of the room, which seemed like an odd and somewhat conspicuous place to put them. There was a bathroom out in the main restaurant, too, and also a family bathroom which I appreciated. That's where the changing table is located. Parking seems minimal--unless I missed some, it didn't actually seem like enough for the size of the restaurant. But they do have a private lot.

As usual, Randy was hard at work when we arrived, orchestrating his staff and making sure the 150+ guests were seated in a timely manner so everyone could begin enjoying the evening's wine and food pairings. The organization and teamwork were impressive, especially considering the number of guests being served. We entered through what will be the future banquet area, which gave us an early preview of the project. From what we could see, it looks like Bella Mia is creating what could become one of the premier banquet spaces in the area. It was exciting to see the final stages of construction taking shape. Once we were seated, everything flowed perfectly. The entire staff worked extremely well together, with each of the six courses beginning with the wine pairing followed immediately by the corresponding food course. We were also happy to see our go-to server, Beth. With the restaurant so busy, she usually had to talk to us on the run. The Six-Course Dinner 1st Course - Caesar Salad Paired with Mohawk Sauvignon Blanc The salad was fresh and crisp, with a tasty Caesar dressing that was nicely balanced. It was topped with a couple of crisp, well-seasoned croutons and fresh-grated Parmesan cheese. The only thing that could have made it even better would have been a couple of anchovies -- although getting anchovies onto 150 plates isn't exactly an easy task! 2nd Course - Italian Stuffed Cubanelle Peppers Paired with Argento Minimalista Malbec The Cubanelle peppers were cooked perfectly al dente and filled with well-seasoned sausage. They were topped with a rich tomato sauce that brought all the flavors together beautifully. 3rd Course - Baked Manicotti Paired with Siglo Rioja Tempranillo The manicotti noodles were incredibly tender and practically melted in your mouth. They were filled with a delicate cheese blend, covered in a rich red sauce and finished with just the right amount of melted cheese. A classic Italian dish executed very well. 4th Course - Chicken Florentine Paired with Julia James Chardonnay The chicken breast was nicely portioned and lightly seasoned, sitting over a flavorful light broth. It was topped with spinach and lightly browned melted cheese. The combination was flavorful without being overly heavy. 5th Course - Steak Vesuvio Paired with Don Rodolfo Art of the Andes Tannat The medium-rare steak medallion was placed over a slice of skinless baked potato, which sat over a light and flavorful broth. A few sprinkled peas added a nice finishing touch. The steak was cooked exactly as we prefer it and paired extremely well with the Tannat. 6th and Final Course - Tiramisu Paired with Duchessa Lia Moscato d'Asti The perfect way to finish the evening. The sponge cake portion of the tiramisu was moist with a subtle coffee flavor, surrounded by a light and tasty mascarpone cheese and finished with a dusting of cocoa. The Moscato d'Asti was an excellent complement to the dessert. Overall Experience My wife and I have attended several of Bella Mia's wine events over the years, and we can honestly say this was the best one we have experienced. We enjoyed every single course, which actually made it exceptionally difficult to choose a favorite. Each wine pairing complemented its respective course extremely well, and the progression of the meal made for a fantastic dining experience. It's easy to understand why these wine dinners sell out nearly every month. There is an incredible amount of energy and teamwork behind these events, and it seems Randy and his crew are constantly looking for ways to improve and make each dinner better than the last. Bella Mia's wine dinners are held monthly on Mondays, when the restaurant is normally closed. The events are posted on their website, and based on our experience, we highly recommend making your reservation early because they normally sell out. This was pretty good, but probably not worth all of the hype. I like the pizza well enough and one piece is definitely enough for two. I have to laugh at some of the other reviews. Control what you can in life = teens congregating in parking lots is not the end of the world. Really, what else can you do as a young teen: not old enough to go to bars, not young enough to have structured play dates. Seriously, you guys were young once--I hear they have open dining hours at SunnyVale across the street! (As an aside, these probably aren't teens since Crestwood is pretty strict on that!). read more

Jokes aside I LOVE their pizza! Brings back memories, HOWEVER. I'm not happy about how they recently jacked up the prices on pizza, and charges a delivery fee besides the tip. Pizza honestly isn't even that good, way too doughy it's basically cheese on a tough bread roll. It used to be acceptable when it was $5 for a slice and a soda now it's $6 and you gotta pay for a drink. Keep in mind, recently they have had renovations to the place and obviously are doing well so it seems like now they are just ripping people off. And considering their clientele is a bunch of drunk teenage kids, seems even more shitty. Don't waste your money here. read more

I've been a LOYAL Nonnas' customer for over 10+ YEARS and I think it is safe to say I will NOT be back. I'm a customer service worker myself and I understand how difficult our jobs tend to be, however that is not an excuse to offer such poor customer service. THIS PLACE IS OPEN 24 HOURS! Sizes range from a slice to a stadium size (18in x 26in). There are also other menu options, but I usually order pizza. The staff is always very nice and there is never a long wait for the pizza. read more

This time, I ordered a large thin crust, half pepperoni and half sausage, and asked for it well-done. On the positive side, they aren't stingy with the toppings ! the pizza was well-covered. The counter staff were friendly and helpful, and my order was ready at the promised time despite the place being very busy with both pick up and delivery orders. However, the sauce is definitely on the sweeter side, which isn't really my preference for a savory pie. While it was better than my first two visits, I'm still not quite sold. I'm in no hurry to head back anytime soon.
