[[HIGHLIGHT]]What a great hole in wall in the heart of Coconut Grove, nestled in a pedestrian only street.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] 52 taps and great seafood menu. Order at the bar. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The rustic nautical interior is very different than lively exterior with the cute awnings featuring "barracuda teeth" , pink picnic tables & thatch umbrellas[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]].

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice dive bar that is a lot more clean than it appears to be from the outside looking in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Seems like a lot of locals go here which is the best advertisement one can have.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There was a guy performing; Jimmy, and he was really good.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was nice, Lauren made recommendations that we went with. Tonight was $1 wing Wednesdays where you could order 6 or 12. The buffalo wings were interesting; some were cooked perfectly and some were overcooked or very thin. The spicy barbecue was plump and seemed more fresh. The snapper sandwich was good; a lot more bread to fish ratio and the same could be said about the shrimp po boy. That fell short as it was popcorn shrimp that were clearly frozen so it took away from the description. Fries and onion rings were over fried but otherwise flavorful. Service was nice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance was pleasantly surprising. Vibes were good.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Be sure to check them out and enjoy!

Great service, great food, and great beer selection. The server gave us samples to figure out which IPA we liked! Food came out fast and warm. What more could you ask for?

Great beer selection running the full spectrum of styles. There's definitely going to be something for everyone here- probably on draft too because they have 52 taps! Bartenders were helpful with sampling drafts and explaining differences between a few of them. Definitely want to come back next time we're in Coconut Grove.

Came here while in town for a few drinks on a rainy day with friends. I am fully confident that I'd return when given the opportunity. This place has an excellent and extensive beer menu- including many interesting fruity, tasty drinks. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Music is certainly on fleek.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Laid back but vibrant vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Bar tenders are friendly and helpful.

This was our saving grace after a bad experience at a near bar. First off, great service and staff. From the front of the house to the back. Great conversation with my bartender and then the cook. Fresh fries!!! Crispy wings that were smothered in buffalo sauce... fish dip was delicious! The star of the show was the corn nuggets. I have to admit I'm allergic to corn, but when I saw this on the menu... it was a must. No joke... super sweet corn, moist and crisp. Highly addictive. Played some classic rock on the jukebox and enjoyed a cold beer. It was delicious. The staff, the food, the ambiance. Moral of this whole story: if you're in the grove, stop here. Get a beer and try the corn nuggets. Play some tunes, make some friends. Great draft collection. Enjoy!

I cannot review the food as I did not eat here, but they're not really vegetarian friendly. We came to have a couple beers outside. They have a solid beer selection with over 50 different taps. They have great craft beers. I usually can't find many sours when I go out, but I had a choice of more than three. It's definitely a divey/college bar, but the fact that the road is closed and you can hang out outside with no worries is great. There's nice shade and a nice breeze. I'll totally go back.

Unacceptable Service and Discrimination Experienced at Barracuda Taphouse from the staff person name Chris and the security guy (unfortunately, I don't know his name). I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with the service my friend and I received at your establishment in Coconut Grove, Miami, on January 26, 2024 at 11 pm. Our experience was not only unpleasant but also deeply troubling due to the behavior of your staff. Upon deciding to order a beer pitcher, we were taken a back by the bartender's approach. He rudely questioned our ability to afford it, which was embarrassing and entirely inappropriate. Such behavior is unacceptable in any customer service setting. The situation worsened when we discovered a hair inside and outside the jug. Expecting a basic level of hygiene, we brought this to the attention of the staff, hoping for a simple replacement. Astonishingly, our complaint was met with outright denial and disrespect. The bartender dismissed our concern, refused to replace the pitcher, and insulted that we were lying by discarding the evidence. Further, the involvement of the bouncer, who supported the bartender's decision and asked us to leave, added to our distress. Not only was this a clear neglect of customer service, but it also felt like a case of racial discrimination, making us feel targeted and unwelcome. Such treatment is not only a violation of hospitality standards but also raises health concerns, as foreign objects in food and drink pose a risk to customers. The refusal to acknowledge and rectify a genuine complaint reflects poorly on your establishment. We expected a pleasant night at Barracuda Taphouse but instead left feeling disrespected and discriminated against. I urge you to address this issue promptly to ensure no other customers experience such unacceptable service. NEVER EVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO THIS PLACE!! This is my first time worst experience ever. I want my refund back and an apology from the staff person name Chris and that security guy!

52 beers on tap!! This place is a true gem and off the beaten path.

52 beers on tap!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]This tap house has been here for decades and has been well marinated in local coconut grove lore.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you are looking for a casual friendly (judgement free) environment to watch a game or to enjoy a bit of local history....then step on in and grab a shrimp sandwich and a cold beer :)[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

A Coconut Grove staple... Know by locals as "Cuda's", his place has been around for years. It's one of the Groves favorite watering wholes and has amazing bar food. The newly added outside picnic tables brings in a new look and added space for Barracudas. Don't for get to order inside at the bar. They have limited seating inside, but have room for some beer pong. Barracudas chefs offer weekly specials and some of the best offerings. I highly recommend the "The Best Snapper Sandwich You've Ever Had", this sandwich is a Blackened snapper, jerk, mesquite or grilled served on our homemade garlic bread. My new favorite is the "Buffalo Chicken Sandwich" this breaded hot buffalo chicken tenderloins covered in melted mozzarella on our garlic bread, served with a side of blue cheese dressing. As for sides waffle fries, onion rings, and even there salad is on point. Don't forget a cold beer for one of there many selections, definitely ask the bartenders for a good recommendation.

This place is a staple! A must check out if in miami and if you're into Brady beers! This is the definition of a dive/college bar! Place gets packed on the weekends but especially Thursday nights w karaoke! They have a great, extensive selection craft beers on tap and in bottles.

So I was in the are and decided to walk in and grab a beer. It's a small place yet very cool, relaxed vibe. The crowd was nice. The outside area has picnic tables so you can have a beer and watch people walk by. They have a pool table inside and an area where u can play beer pong. They have a huge selection of beers. The only thing was that the bathroom was dirty. I would definitely recommend this little bar to anyone who wants to have a good time and grab some beers.

Best beers and food in the grove. [[HIGHLIGHT]]With pool tables, darts and great bar tenders.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Thanks for the service it's not everyday you get good service

The food was also great we ordered the Caesar Fries, the Magie Plate which came with the bread, strawberry spread and some olives and pickles for the meats, we also got the Hot Dog and everything we had was really good. The ambiance is very nice it's a cozy little hole in the wall that you would definitely miss driving by it. Outside patio area had a lot of seating and as well as couches. The enchiladas are also delicious. Again, a good size to share. We started off with some guac that was super solid. The space itself is really nice and has the perfect vibe for the Grove. I've been going to Koko since it opened, and until now I've always had great experiences…read more Unfortunately, my recent visit during the Mexico World Cup match was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had in a long time. Before going, we called the restaurant to ask if they would be showing the World Cup games, and we were told they would be showing all of them. Based on that, we expected a good viewing experience. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. There aren't enough TVs, many of the views are obstructed, and we actually had to move to the bar just to see part of the game. Even then, the music was so loud that we couldn't hear the match at all. When we asked the manager about it, he told us that ownership's instructions were to play music instead of the game's audio. That was especially surprising considering this is a Mexican-owned restaurant and the match was a Mexico World Cup game. The biggest disappointment, however, was the service. To be fair, the restaurant was only about half full, so this wasn't a situation where the staff was overwhelmed by a packed house or unusually heavy demand. I was there with two female friends. I ordered a martini while my friends simply asked for water. The bartender reacted as if asking for water was somehow an inconvenience. We weren't even served chips and salsa until we repeatedly waved down members of the staff and specifically requested them. The bartenders consistently ignored us. My friends waited nearly 20 minutes before anyone came back so they could order their martinis. We later ordered guacamole and the Leña skirt steak. The guacamole arrived promptly, but the steak never did. When we asked another bartender to check on it, he looked in the system and told us there was no food order entered at all. This was unbelievable because the original bartender had described the dish, asked how we wanted the steak cooked, and appeared to take the order. He simply never entered it. When we complained to the manager about the missing food, he told us the kitchen was already closed but that he would "make an exception" and have the steak prepared for us. That response really upset me because this wasn't us asking for special treatment--it was the restaurant trying to correct its own mistake. I told him to simply cancel the order. He then said not to worry because he wouldn't charge us for it, as if not charging for a meal would somehow make up for the experience we had just endured. I declined the offer, but he responded by saying he would bring it anyway and that if we didn't want it, we could just leave it there. To me, that response was even more dismissive and completely missed the point. Throughout the evening, the bartenders were inattentive, dismissive, and consistently rude. Their attitude completely overshadowed what had always been one of my favorite restaurants in Coconut Grove. By halftime, we had simply had enough. Instead of continuing what should have been a fun night, we decided to leave the restaurant and go home, where we watched the rest of the Mexico match in the comfort of my home. Sadly, that turned out to be the best part of the night. I'm writing this review because I know Koko is capable of much better. My previous visits have always been enjoyable, which made this experience even more disappointing. However, if you're planning to watch a World Cup match there, I would strongly recommend choosing another venue. While they may tell you they'll be showing the game, the viewing experience is poor, the game audio is replaced with loud music, and based on our visit, the service was, without question, the worst I've experienced there since the restaurant opened. I sincerely hope management takes this feedback seriously because Koko has always been one of my favorite restaurants, and I'd like to be able to recommend it again. Unfortunately, after this experience, I simply can't.
