He recommended another specialist in the building and even walked down with me to go see them. He kept saying "I'm very honest, not trying to be rude..." which I never felt at all - tell people what they need to know, not what they want to hear. I hope I'll be able to use Dr. Han with some of my mouth issues, after spending a little time with him I absolutely trust him.

They listened, understood my history, and made me feel completely safe and comfortable. Soon after meeting them, one of my old veneers (from a childhood snow-sledding accident) came loose. They saw me right away and when it became clear the veneer wouldn't hold anymore, they transitioned me to a crown, coordinating everything with my insurance. It looks completely natural -- and they even took me outside in natural daylight to match the color perfectly instead of the office lights. Brilliant! BU Dental believes that a healthy mouth makes for a healthy body. They practice holistic dentistry, looking at the whole person -- not just your teeth -- and how oral health connects to overall wellness, nutrition, and lifestyle. I never realized the connection but now it totally makes sense to me. Patty at the front desk deserves her own gold star -- she's always cheerful, smart, and a total pro at navigating insurance. He told me what I could expect and he explained the whole process. Dr. Yen numbed me and made sure that I was completely numb. He frequently checked to ensure that I was feeling no pain and he went about his work quickly. He also kept communicating with me the whole time which I appreciated. It was a welcome distraction from what was going on inside my mouth. I recommend Dr. Yen to anyone requiring dental surgery.

However, when I got the post-insurance invoice, it had a line item for "CHUN:D9310:Consultation" dated the day before the extraction. Not only was there never any Consultation, certainly not the day before the appointment, but when I called to request it be removed, they refused. The billing lady claimed it did happen, I was there and know it didn't happen - and yet she refused to remove this fraudulent charge. Dr. Yen is fine - but beware beware beware - his office will charge you and your isurance company for fraudulent non-existent line items.

Prior to any work being done, Dr. Alijanian gives one a menu of flavors on a towel to use for your comfort. When starting the initial process of anesthesia, Dr. Alijanian gives you a whiff, dose, whatever you want to call it of some type of gas to alleviate any pain of intravenous anesthetic. There is absolutely no pain associated with the process of pulling teeth. I had two molars extracted and felt nothing. I'm not sure why, but I may also have had a novacain injection as the area of removal was numb when I went home. I would reccommend Dr. Alijanian to anyone. ALSO....I had gone to 2 other oral surgeons that were reccommended and Dr. Alijanian's office was $2000.00 less expensive. He is the best.
