They did not install the correct size return vent so our heater kept overheating. It would cycle on and off every few minutes and say it was heating when no air was moving. We literally had them come out 4 times before they found out what the issue one. The first 3 times they gaslit us and said that is was our Nest or a draft in an interior wall... I think they have only one good employee because the 4th guy to show up told us he liked to get paid for his overtime and would stick around until he got to the cause of the problem. Also when they finally "fixed" the return vent to a proper sized, they botched the install and had cracks in the ceiling and random screws sticking out in places. So they had to come back again to fix that mistake.

My in-laws originally called this company for nothing more than a routine annual maintenance and cleaning of their air conditioning system. Their AC was working before the appointment. They were not expecting to replace their system--they simply wanted preventative maintenance. During the visit, the technician/salesman told them they needed an entirely new air conditioning system and presented them with a quote of nearly $35,000. What happened next was even more troubling: after the technician left, the air conditioner--which had been working before the appointment--stopped working altogether. Faced with a non-working AC and being told they needed a complete replacement, my elderly in-laws understandably felt pressured. The company had them sign paperwork waiving their five-day right to cancel so the installation could move forward immediately. Looking back, it felt like they were being rushed into making a massive financial decision without adequate time to seek another opinion. Thankfully, despite signing that paperwork, they were ultimately able to get out of the contract. We obtained a second opinion from another reputable HVAC company, and the quote for a comparable replacement was approximately $16,000--nearly $19,000 less than what this company wanted to charge. A price difference of nearly $19,000 is hard to ignore. Combined with the fact that they were called out for routine maintenance--not because the system had failed--the AC stopped working after the visit, and the electrical incident disrupted power to multiple homes, this entire experience left us with serious concerns about how this company conducts business. My advice is simple: Never rely on just one estimate for a major HVAC replacement. Don't let anyone pressure you into signing paperwork on the spot, and be especially cautious if you're being asked to waive your cancellation rights. If my in-laws had not sought a second opinion, they could have paid almost $35,000 for a system another reputable company was willing to install for around $16,000. We are incredibly grateful they were able to cancel the contract. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend this company. If this review helps even one family avoid what we experienced, then writing it was worth it. If I could give ZERO stars I would.

I have been holding off on this review for a while because I was waiting to see just how in the…read morehole I was going to be for using these services, but I am about at the point where I'm not even entirely sure these guys aren't just a scam. I had a new HVAC installed in 2024 when my old one finally broke. Of course, this happened in the middle of a Sacramento heatwave. Of course, they had me over a barrel and I needed something fixed immediately. To their credit, they did order the unit and install it extremely quickly. It also broke down an hour later. I chalked that up to just accidental installation issues. The guys came back, made some adjustments and the unit worked fine... For about another 6 months and then the thermostat broke down. So, with my 10 year warranty they came back to fix the wires in the thermostat. And then the Thermostat broke again and we had it replaced with a different model. And then the unit broke down in the winter another time and had to be patched. And today I woke up and even with the thermostat turned entirely off the unit was just blowing hot air out at maximum strength until we finally just climbed up and unplugged the whole thing in the attic. Every time we need something fixed it takes 5-7 days to get someone out to fix it. That's 5-7 days without air conditioning in a Sacramento summer or without heat in some of the coldest months we have. Can we survive? Sure. Is that what I paid over $15,000 for? Absolutely not. At this point I am fairly certain I was sold faulty equipment. In trying to just get someone out urgently to unplug the whole unit in the attic so we weren't just living with heat on full blast in the house for the next 5 days, I talked to one human being who tried very hard to be helpful, and one AI script logger they have set up as a customer service rep. That's right. They're literally using AI to communicate with clients, take messages, send texts, and relay inaccurate information. At one point the AI sent me a text to say someone was coming over in the evening to unplug the unit. 10 minutes before 5pm an actual person called to leave a message saying no technician was actually coming. Frankly, I've had it with this nonsense. I paid a not insubstantial amount of money for a heating and air system in my home and I expect that it will not break multiple times a year.

So Micah came over and presented several options and discussed which ones were SMUD rebate eligible. I went with the bundled (and SMUD rebate eligible) AC + Heat Pump combo. Micah and his son (already an industry veteran and very capable) arrived bright and early (e.g. right on time) and 10 hours later - old units removed, new units installed. The big surprise was *nothing* - e.g. none of the clunks grinds, whooshes, strained sounds of the old system. Just nice cool air evenly distributed throughout my 3/2 bungalow. The old system kept the master suite at temperature, but ran hot summers and cold winters in the kid's rooms at the other end of the house. Remember folks, true power doesn't roar - it whispers. He did not even go on the roof to check the panels. He said if I wanted more wattage to add new panels. I had the inverter and panels checked by other companies and they said the inverter was not the correct inverter so it should be replaced. There were other problems with the wiring on of the solar panels. He charged me $285 and left. I called the office to explain and person said she would have the owner call me right back. 2 days now and no call. I have had 2 companies explain to me why it's the wrong inverter.

Made the appointment, received the estimate after inspection, was informed of the rebates both for SMUD as well as Federal Tax Credits and gave the go ahead. They had it installed in 2 days' time, and let me tell you, this new system? Makes me come to terms that I never really had a real one to begin with!!! I was given options to which one would work best for my unit (I live in a condo) and wasn't swayed one way or the other. Chose one, and I am SO THANKFUL I did! These few days in the 90's so far have given comfortable and cool air throughout my home and including my bedroom which never cooled off or heated up to the rest of the house.
