Note: I've posted this same review on Google Reviews. American Energy was one of three companies who priced my project. I met with the owner Mathew McGuire, who I found to be friendly, sincere, and someone who is vested in his business, his people, and working to ensure that he wins life-long customers with every job. I had done a lot of research with AI, so I knew my options well (that research was very helpful and I'd highly recommend doing it in advance of having people out to give you pricing). I had no intention of beating up each of the companies, I simply asked for their best pricing and options. I used AI to carefully review each bid in detail, including the proposed equipment and how appropriate it was for our home. All companies gave solid bids, but there was a very large spread between the highest and lowest. That usually concerns me, but all my research about American Energy indicated that they were a solid, competitive company. It was a big investment, but I ended up converting to an electric heat pump and also getting all our ducting replaced. We have a 2750 sf single-story home with 17 vents, so the new ducting was nearly as much as the system itself. That said, the ducting has made so much difference in terms of balancing the temperature throughout the house, which was a real probelm with the old system. The new system is extremely quiet and maintains a consistent temp throughout the day--and we've had some extremely hot days since it's been installed. American Energy's installers were all very friendly and professional, and did a great jobs with prep and clean-up each day they were here (the initial install took two days). There were a couple minor issues after the install was complete which required two follow-up appointments. One was a equipment issue that required Carrier to provide a replacement part, but Carrier was responsive and quickly provided it. For the additional follow-up appointments, their scheduling person as professional, courteous, and accommodating. In fact, she went out of her way over a weekend to re-schedule an appointment that was supposed to happen on a Monday morning. To me the company has to be a good one to A.) get that kind of diligence out of employees, and B.) to keep those kind of employees. In the end, I'm extremely happy with the system and will gladly subscribe for their annual maintenance contract. read more

Our AC stopped working out of the blue, and American Energy had someone out the very next day. Within an hour, our system was diagnosed, repaired, and back up and running. I couldn't be more grateful for the fast, honest service. They were fair, didn't try to upsell us on anything, and quickly identified the problem--a clogged P-trap. We decided to give American Energy Home Pros a chance after they helped spot many issues with our current AC unit. We went with a Carrier Unit and American Energy was able to fit us in within a week. We are expecting a child and they made sure we were a priority and respectful of our circumstances. Armaan and Kano showed up this morning a few minutes early and immediately congratulated us on our newest arrival. They were respectful of our home and busy schedules and handled the install in a timely manner. They cleaned up their workspaces and were sure to leave our home the way they found it. I am pleased to say our AC is working and house is cool ahead of this heat wave. I can't recommend these guys enough. They did one hell of a job. And shoutout to them for employing a veteran. I had two air conditioning units and they both failed on the same day, one in a million. I called American Energy Home Pros to get a quote for a replacement to compare with another quote I had received. They informed me about their free second opinion. I didn't even have a service contract with them but they sent Garrett out the same day and he confirmed that the units were both failed. The next morning Kyle was at my house first thing in the morning and prepared a quote for replacement. He provided different options and we walked through all past issues I've had and together we designed a new system. The products were all in stock so installation was scheduled for the very next day. For the next two days, Armaan and Kano worked through 100 degree days to get our new system installed. They were great, they worked nonstop and kept me updated throughout the day on the progress they had made. They were so clean and respectful of our property and when they left there was no evidence of the work that had been going on over the last two days. We had to do some additional electrical work and Kano jumped right on it and took care of it. Based on my initial experience with American Energy Home Pros I would recommend them to anybody who has issues with the air conditioning system. Craig Babcock arrived at the agreed upon time, diagnosed the issue of a HVAC AC unit with a clogged pipe that was backing up and causing a leak from the downstairs ceiling. We just had our HVAC system replaced today and not only did the crew remove the old system and install the new system in one day, they took extra care to explain what and why they were doing during the install as well as walk us through the system operation at the conclusion of the project, The area was cleaned well beyond our expectations, their demeanor was respectful and polite, and they were courteous in addressing any questions we asked. They communicated extremely quickly and got somebody out the next day. Garrett was extremely knowledgeable and kind. We had a couple really bad experience with a different company and it made us skeptical of HVAC companies. This ended up being a really positive experience. I did not feel like Garrett was lying or trying to push something unnecessary on me to make a sale, and that he was being genuine and actually really trying to walk me through our options. I found this business on Yelp. I asked them to come out and figure out why my unit was leaking. I also paid the multi point inspection. They didn't quite figure out what was causing the leak. Told me they would need to use a dye and would cost me more than the service I paid for. My unit is still working but it's on its way out is what they told me. In any case my unit stoped leaking and it working fine. Lasted another summer. They were a bit pushy about selling me a brand new unit which I wasn't interested in. With the inspection tho I am able to contract other HVAC people to "piece meal" the work and save myself some mula. read more

MY AC stopped working yesterday. Called AE and they squeezed me in for this morning. Greg let me know he was on his way which I appreciated. Found the problem and fixed it. Explain everything to me as this might not be a permanent fix. My AC is pretty old. I appreciate how polite he is and felt comfortable in his knowledge of my AC. This is our second time having American Energy Home Pros come out to check our AC unit and their staff and customer service never disappoints! Their team is always so professional and respectful from the moment you call them to schedule an appointment to when a tech comes to the house to fix the issue you're having. Was very impressed that American Energy Home Pros was able to get us scheduled to have someone come check out our AC unit the very next day! They even provided a courtesy call the morning of to let us know that the initial tech that was supposed to come and check our AC unit called out sick and that they would be sending a different tech out to check it but at a little later time on the same day. And they stayed true to their word! We had the pleasure of having Craig come to the rescue to save our AC unit! Our AC unit started making an extremely loud sound when it was turned on and starting up. Craig was able to come out between the noted timeframe and was extremely knowledgeable and thorough with explaining what was wrong with our AC unit. He truly took his time to really get to the bottom of the issue and had quick problem solving skills to pinpoint what it was. Thanks to his expertise, he was able to figure out that something was wrong with our blower wheel and that was the reason for the loud sound. Craig took plenty of pictures and videos to give us a visual and get an idea of what was happening up in the attic with our AC's blower wheel. He was able to provide us with a decent quote and even made sure to take accurate measurements to ensure the right part gets ordered for when he comes back to install it. The installation was handled professionally and efficiently. When my heater didn't perform as expected, they replaced the unit at no additional cost. They also promptly addressed minor damage to my crawl space caused during the installation. Most recently, Craig came to perform the annual maintenance on my heater, and once again, he demonstrated professionalism and efficiency. During his visit, I inquired whether the company had expanded to offer plumbing services, as I needed to replace my tankless hot water heater. This will now be our go to HVAC servicing team. We had issues with our HVAC system and required a second opinion on repairs. They were easy and eager to schedule. They arrived on time and provided service without any up front charges. The first informed us that the expensive repairs that had been recommended were not needed. It would have been easy to simply underbid the contract we had been given but they were honest in their findings. Subsequently, upon diagnosing the poor installation issues which was making out HVAC run poorly, they reset the system to run appropriately, free of charge. I use American Energy for my HVAC needs and recently heard that they do plumbing as well. I had a leaking toilet and Anthony did an excellent job in resolving that problem and he replaced the toilet mechanisms in my other two toilets as well. I was concerned about how much it would cost because I have been charged some scary prices with other plumbing companies in the past but American Energy's price was extremely reasonable and now I have all of my toilets working as new. I requested help with removing a laundry tub drain, remove the hot and cold water pipes to the tub, adapt piping for washer adding washer box and ice box for refrigerator water line. We had to get a new HVAC system installed as ours was starting to have issues and nearing the end of its life. Everything from the techs that came out to identify issues with our old system, Anthony in sales who sat down with us to discuss all of our options (including pricing, gas vs. electric, impact on bills, etc.), the techs that did the new install, and the oversight from Matt (the owner) was top notch. On top of a great experience throughout, we have some very unique shingles on our roof that required extra attention from our roofer to ensure everything was installed and flashed properly.
