One of the Partners met with us and was pretty helpful in answering our questions and helping us put in our offer. We trusted him almost right away - rookie mistake. Since it was a new construction, we had planned for some delays, but certainly was not prepared for 10 months worth of it. We 100% understand that this is not the fault of Elevated Realty, and our contact did attempt to get information from the Seller's agent. That being said, there was certainly a lack of explanation and transparency throughout those 10 months. After months of working through our agent and getting underwhelming updates, we started interacting directly with the Seller's agent. We ended up getting a lot more information, which made us question Elevated Realty's ability to represent us. Fast forward to the final inspection day, our agent was not able to make it due to his wedding. We completely understood, congratulated him, and gladly accepted his colleague as our interim contact. The interim contact came to the final inspection, shook our hands, and stood around doing pretty much nothing. We didn't mind because we were under the impression he was there only for presence and it was the only time we would interact with him. After the final inspection, we started working on the closing process and to our surprise, no one from Elevated Realty replied to any of our questions. Our original and temporary agents both disappeared completely while we were dealing with a lot of closing issues. The Seller's agent, our lawyer, and loan officer ended up helping us with everything -- big kudos to them. It has now been more than a weeks since we have closed, and we still have not heard a single word from Elevated Realty -- not even an automated thank you email. Boston is a highly competitive market for Real Estate companies so it is appalling that Elevated Realty thinks that they can get away with such poor customer experience.

What seems like warm on fuzzy on the outside quickly turns to a cold shoulder and letdown after…read moreletdown. Bode Well was the realtor for the apartment we chose to rent, and they let us down in just about every aspect you expect a realtor to perform... Pre-signing our lease: They told us that the current tenants would be moving out at a certain date. They told us that the apartment's deck was being finished, but that it would be completed by the time we moved in. They told us that the apartment came with the 3 AC window units that were currently in the apartment. We trusted them, and didn't think twice about having all of those aspects in the lease. Post-signing our lease: $2,400 realtor fee later, Bode Well begins the letdowns. Bode Well informs us a few weeks before we were about to move in that the tenants would no longer be moving out the week Bode Well said they were. The tenants would now be staying two weeks later than originally planned, and there was nothing we could do about it. Put us in a pickle because we weren't available for the new move in date. Strike 1 Next, we noticed about a week before our lease began that the deck wasn't close to being finished. We asked Bode Well about this and they said that it was the contractors fault for not having the right building permit... There was nothing they could do about it and it wasn't their fault. Strike 2 Not happy with our experience so far, we just wanted to get into our new apartment. Turns out that when we finally moved in, there were NO AC units to be found. We moved in the summer, and it was extremely uncomfortable - hot and humid. We called them for days, stopped by their office, and after hours of denying any responsibility they delivered one AC unit. We asked when we would receive the two other units and they told us that they would not be giving us the 3rd unit, but that a 2nd unit would be delivered sometime within the next few weeks. We were unhappy with that solution, but Bode Well told us that it was the "best they could do". Now, into the 2nd month of our lease, they have yet to bring either of the 2 AC units, our deck is still not finished, and Bode Well won't return any of our calls/texts. Letdown after letdown. Strike 3 Before you work with a realtor, ask yourself if you want to risk going through this with Bode Well. For a hefty realtor fee, all we asked was that we were given what we signed up for and what we were told we would receive. Not too much to ask for... They're just not worth the struggle.

Probably the worst application process I have ever been a part of living in Boston. After that they informed us that they received other applications so we upped our offer to be more competitive. Then nearly a week after we submitted our application they said we would no longer be considered unless we move in 9 days after the listed date they posted of September 1st move in. Slow and obnoxious people to deal with.

When my daughter and I came to her to buy a place for my daughter and her dogs to live while she attended vet school, she LISTENED to what we were looking for and what our budget was, and found about a dozen places that would fit the bill. She gave us each a handout with photos and all the stats so we could make notes as we visited the places so they didn't all run together in our minds. We bought the perfect spot with her help. Four years later we didn't hesitate to ask her to be our listing agent when we were ready to sell. My daughter and I were in the middle of separate moves, and both out of state when the condo had to be spruced up for sale. Claire knew what painters/plumbers/electricians/carpet layers to call to get the work done quickly and at a reasonable price. They have been quick to assist me with any issues that have arrived. Maintenance has always been quick to fix any issues I've had. *Noise level: I haven't had too many instances where noise was a problem. There have been a few times where music has been very loud at night, but when living so close to other people that's a given at times. It hasn't been too bad though. *Parking - plenty of parking available even if you have to park a little further from the buildings. Parking lot is well lighted. *Pet friendly: I don't have pets but I appreciate that it is a pet friendly apartment complex. *Gym: I've only used the gym a few times pre-Covid times. It's nice to have the option but I prefer working out in my apartment. *Controlled access *Covid response: wipes and trashcans near elevator and in laundry facilities. Restricting access to high traffic areas. Limiting numbers once restrictions were lifted. *Utilities: at the time my lease was renewed all utilities were still included (minus water) - electricity would be our responsibility soon. I'm not sure if that's already in place or not. It's nice not to have to think about all of that each month. Cons: *Laundry: Many washers out of order on a weekly basis or they're all taken up. Sometimes laundry is left in the washers long after they're finished washing. If we had in unit washer and dryer or even the connections for them I would love this place even more. *Apartment temp: I'm on the 8th floor so understandably heat rises so my apartment is always hot. Some people may like this but I prefer to be cooler (even in the winter). I tend to have multiple fans to help. Waiting for the AC to switched on, or when it is switched off, it can be quite uncomfortable when it's still very hot and humid outside. Neutral: *Courtyard lighting: Some mornings it's very dark if you have to walk through the courtyard to the parking lot. This hasn't happened often and now that the leasing entrance is available to use it's not an issue. *Package system: Currently in progress. I have had a few packages go missing so this will be a great benefit.
