I have shopped at Glad Rags both times I was in Lenox while visiting the National Shrine of Divine Mercy. In late November, my husband and I accidentally left my winter coats (including one I just bought at Glad Rags) behind when we checked out of our rental unit. I called Glad Rags to ask for help and boy, did I get help!!!! Mercedes drove to our rental unit in a snowstorm to pick up my coats then boxed them up and shipped them to me, saving me a substantial amount of money since their rate was much less than I would have paid for a service to do the same. I was so grateful to receive my new coat in time for a wedding on December 6th! Also when I bought the coat, the owner and employee made sure that the minor alteration they suggested to move the snaps would indeed work and not cause any mark on the coat! We visited for the first time today so my wife could shop for something to wear to an upcoming event. The store seems packed with merchandise in two adjacent salesrooms. There were designer names that I had never heard of, but my wife quickly recognized them as those found in higher end boutiques. Their prices are very reasonable for the quality of what they sell, and their sale prices are even better. My wife happily walked out with three items in her purchase. We were fortunate to have met the owner, Lea, while checking out. She explained that her store has been open for 23 years in Chatham. When people ask how she can afford to sell her merchandise at the prices marked, she explains that she has a low overhead with it being a family run business and the Chatham building is essentially her warehouse. She also told us, if you don't see a size you are looking for, ask for assistance. She likely has more sizes stored off the sales floor. If you can't make it to Chatham, she explained she also has been selling directly from her website. Attractive prices, and very friendly and welcoming service, the only thing missing is... clothing for us men.

I've found the most elegant outfits for weddings. They DO have designer clothes. They tend to be pricer, but they have sales periodically and you can step in some diamond dust. This is a non profit. Wonderful kind people with excellent taste donate items here with love. Usually the local loyal patrons drop off nice items they no longer need. The boutique truly is a special place. I have consciously chosen to donate mint condition beautiful items instead of selling them, because I love this store and what it offers to humans and animals. You actually support cats and dogs buy shopping here. Their sister store in Lenox is great too. I have a special place in my heart for Catwalk in Great Barrington. I love the women who work there. They're some of the kindest warmest authentic women I've ever met. I always feel better walking out of Catwalk! I used to buy the majority of my wardrobe there, but then I moved. The boutique has such a great vibe and wonderful fantastic finds, that I used to stop by almost every week, even if I didn't have to find anything specific. Often times I'd buy something I didn't need at that moment, like something fancy, but then I'd have an occasion to wear it later. I swear Catwalk has an auspicious crystal occasion ball. Many of the fashions on display at the store are designed by Polizzi, meaning that if you purchase it there, the odds of encountering smeone else wearing it are fairly minimal. This is a good thing. You can buy everything from designer cowboy boots to home furnishings to hot sauce here, though the focus seems to be on rural-hip women's wear. Certainly all the ingredients you'll need to create a faux Western get-away and buy the clothes for it to boot are present here. Prices are high, but service is wonderful. I found a beautiful long synthetic buckskin coat here and bought it, but decided it was just too long for me. I asked if I could exchange it with a shorter version of the same coat, and the store immediately said it was okay and that they would make up the 40 dollar price difference in store credit.
