We also ordered the Reuben bites which we were surprised to see were literally just pickles meat and cheese (this is literally what the description said to be fair but we really thought Reuben bites would mean there would be some sort of carb element), that being said, we weren't mad about them, they were alright. The food was okay. We knew that it was going to be a little noisy which was fine; we had a group of 4 and it took less time than expected for our food to come out. The atmosphere was definitely more fitting for a group of friends drinking not really for casually chatting with family. Friday evening with some friends. The place was noisy and full so we knew the food delivery would take time. The waitress was attentive and pleasant. Two of us ordered bangers and mash and the sausages were burnt on the bottom and dry. The mash was reminiscent of old time elementary school paste, not at all creamy or smooth. The Irish coffee and Moscow Mule were both a little disappointing and not really the kind of drinks that knock your socks off. The food was a bit confusing too. We ordered what you see shown plus a Buena Vista Irish Coffee and Not Far From the Tree and when I tell youuuuuu those drinks were DRINKS! They were NOT skimpy on the pours lol Our hostess Kelsey was very nice and checked on us quite often even though we were outside which we appreciated. The food was delicious and the sausage on the board - A1. My brother said that the burger was probably one of the best burgers he's ever had . I have been meaning to stop in Barrington's Irish Pub for a couple months now. I finally did it and I regret not doing it earlier! I am fascinated with Irish food and really enjoy shepherds pie. Most places prepare it like a pot pie but replace the top crust with mashed potatoes. Barrington's prepares it in a manner that Guy's Grocery Games would refer to as a de-constructed shepherds pie. It's served in a bowl with the mashed potatoes in the center, surrounded by a sea of the meat filling and two pieces of soda bread along the wall of the bowl. I enjoyed every bite and wished I was hungry enough to order another serving! However, that one serving was just as filling as it was tasty. Then I foolishly thought I had room for dessert! So I ordered the Soda Bread pudding. It is served very hot and it is very good. Unfortunately I ate only half of it because I was now uncomfortably full having been unable to stop eating! I thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience at Barrington's with its Irish decor and the eclectic music playing at a light volume in the background. I look forward to returning soon. read more

Our party of seven loved every bite! Waitstaff was friendly & attentive and were happy to help us split meals.

The food was very good, and prices are the norm for today's prices in restaurants.. what the disappointing part was the service! It was terrible, one person running the bar, and serving tables, taking orders etc. they need more than one person!! The place is small, 12 tables and the bar with seating.. the place started getting full, and still one person doing most all of it! Less than mediocre. We were one of two tables in the afternoon about 2:30 pm. Our server was doing everything but paying attention to her server duties. We sat for 20 minutes before she apologized and said that the kitchen didn't see her ticket. One of the items we ordered was a Ploughman's platter. I have had many & this was by far the saddest excuse for one I have ever encountere. The corned beef could not be cut through with any knife blade. The rest of the accoutrements were insufferable. We were on vacation and hungry for lunch. We looked up some places we can eat and decided to go here, because a Reuben sounded good to my husband. We were not disappointed, at all. The Reuben was absolutely delicious. It tasted exactly what it should taste like. It wasn't dry and tasteless. I had the beef lamb burger and it was full of flavor, and juicy. The fries were so good! I like steak cut fries that are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They do it Joe-Joe style here, which is my favorite. The service was good; friendly and welcoming. read more

We read some reviews and were hesitant to go there but the hotel clerks really thought highly of it so we decided to try it. We were pleasantly surprised! We would rate this restaurant as one of the best restaurants we've been too. My husband had Bangers & Mash and I had the Fork and Knife Stew which was over-the-top TASTY! Even my hubby agreed my dish was better than his. He wants to learn how to make it. Our waitress, Rachel, was so friendly! When we asked her name, she told us and then asked what our names were and then shook our hands when we told her our names. She checked on us frequently too. They served us warm/tepid pot pie and told us they had no way to heat it up. We didn't eat it.

We were there on a Monday afternoon, well after the lunch rush. I don't know if temperature counts as "ambiance," but it seemed hotter inside the restaurant than out on the street. They had a heat-pump style air conditioner running, but they also left the front double-doors wide open, so there was no way the air conditioner could succeed in cooling the room. The service was slow because there was only one employee out on the floor, and she had to double as the bartender. The food came quickly, but was a step below lackluster. For an appetizer we had a Barrington's Boxty, which is their take on traditional Irish potato pancakes. Their "take" is to shape them like hush puppies. That was interesting, but the potato inside was complete mush (about the texture of pudding), and had very little potato flavor, although the horseradish sauce helped mask that. My dining companion had Roasted Brussels Sprouts. I thought they smelled overripe, and judging by how much she left uneaten, I gather they weren't very tasty, either. My entree was Fish 'n' Chips. The fish was watery and bordering on textureless, which suggests to me that the fish had probably been frozen. The breading tasted okay, though. The fries seemed like they had either been overcooked, or possibly cooked in old oil. The color was unappealing, and the texture was, once again, mushy. They had very little potato flavor. I had a Guinness, which was cool-ish, but warmed up quickly in that hot room. Overall, not a great experience. We probably won't be back. 2 stars. read more

We arrived sat down and were brought waters and said our server "Sam" would be right with us. 20 minutes later no service, there was only 4 tables one already had food and the others came in shortly after us. We watched her walk back and forth from the bar to the water station over and over. We finally got up and left. We can spend our money where they will appreciate our patronage. We had a great meal at Barrington's. The environment is awesome.. They have put a lot of work into their decor. It feels like an Irish pub with a northwest twist. only go here if you're into the bar scene. extra fatty corned beef and cabbage, burnt Ruben sandwich, soggy yet over cooked fish and chips, stew and cottage pie are mostly vegetables and gravy. They don't take reservations unless you're a personal friend. The male owner is rude and nasty. If you ask for a specific table he tells you to leave if you don't like it. not good for children or groups. Wine comes in a can. Servers are friendly but understaffed. We had to find them to get things they forgot, just stay away from the little male owner. We won't be back. read more
