If you're in the mood for a burger, I'd put this little food truck at the top of your list to check out. I don't eat a lot of burgers these days, but this American smashburger was worth it. Two patties smashed between two slices of melty American cheese .. I forego other toppings so I reallly get the taste and it was delicious. I've been wanting to come here for a long time, as I learned about their story on instagram. The husband travels from Vegas every Thursday for the weekend to cook up some delicious burgers for us Reno folks. Beyond perfect and absolutely worth any wait time! The service is incredible every single time. Erick and Carla and their crew work so hard and deserve so much love and support. They are all such great people. They always maintain the absolute tip top quality of every burger they've ever made, including the seasoned fries no matter how many orders they have. I get so excited for the burgers, especially the mushroom and Swiss. And also the bacon and cheddar (pro tip, add a fried egg with this one). But the fries! I visited Barrio Burger on a Thursday when they run their $10 dollar promotion. Unfortunately, my experience was different this time. We were made aware that it was going to be a while for us to get our order which we were completely fine with, we don't mind waiting for food as long as it's served fresh. When we got our order my husband's burger looked and tasted good but it was obvious that my burger had been sitting for a while. The whole thing was cold, the bun was flat, the fries smelled like they were fried in old oil and had a port like smell to them. Having waited an hour for our order I was very disappointed. It's a toss between this place and royce so far, so i need to go back to both i guess to give them a second try. But If in midtown, a must try. Fries are perfect here too, must be double fried? On a Sunday afternoon while doing a Home Depot run I recognized Barrios Burgers truck. Thanks to Yelp's IG! Since it was 2:30pm and not too far away from dinner, my husband and I shared a meal.
