Merienda-all-you-can at PhP140? My parents were excited. I, however, was quite skeptical. I've tried one such promo from a different food chain before and I was quite disappointed. There were very few things to choose from that it did not feel like an all-you-can-eat. Still, I gave in. It wouldn't hurt to let my parents treat me to Barrio Fiesta.
But, when I finally saw the variety of choices and the quantity of the food being served, my mouth began to water. First in line was my ever-favorite puto bumbong and beside it were other rice cakes: puto, kutsinta, and palitaw. The rice cakes alone would have been sufficient to satisfy me, but it did not stop there. They also served dinuguan, goto, tokwa't baboy, guinataang mais, pancit canton, corned beef hash, lumpiang hubad, minatamis na saba and other desserts.
My family and I couldn't stop eating and so couldn't the other customers. Each time a tray was emptied, the staff were quick to refill it.
