The food was excellent there was many dishes that I liked but the dessert oh my gosh get yourself the guava dessert it's so delicious delicious worth worth it and I love the beans. I love the guacamole bowl with Chicharron. Everything was so fabulous. The service was great and personable and the ambience was top-notch. It's so classy elegant perfect for date night or dinner with the fam Bam highly recommend. My aunt got the fish with the garlic and believe me not a sliver of delicious garlic was left on that plate. She's 87 and stellar so she's keeping a secret. I'm sure. read more

Starting with the appetizers the combo plate and queso panela was delicious. Service was good from the start. Our waiter always checked up on us and made sure we were taken care of. We ended up eating on the patio and the weather was perfect to sit outside and enjoy the breeze. Ask for Cesar ,Overall a 10/10 would definitely come back and try something different I had the salmon granjero plate, my gf had the Milanesa plate and my in laws had the Alfredo plates chicken and shrimp. When you're ready to just unwind this is the place to go. They have great music- diverse! Each member is super attentive and friendly. The drinks are out of this world.I have a goal to try each one of their drinks on the menu one day. Each one has been remarkably great! The food makes you wish you could eat more! The service was great and the staff very attentive to our requests. I appreciated all the steps in place, due to COVID-19, because of that I was comfortable dinning in. The appetizer queso con chorizo delicious..I ordered the Buffalo Chicken salad and it was so fresh and the buffalo sauce was distributed appropriately. My friend ordered the Nortenos carnita and it was good however the beans weren't as warm as he would of liked.. i highly recommend Barrokas. read more

I was so excited to find a new nice place with good food in Piedras Negras that isn't too pricey. I definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Piedras after having such a good experience here. The food is really good and so is the service. It was hard to pick what to order because everything looks so good on the menu. I tried the beets with arugula and jocoque which was really good. I also had the tuna tostadas. Si, I've been to many places in Piedras Negras. I have a few faves there, I had heard so much about this place, but never tried it. I fell in love with it! This is a higher class , Mexican food, restaurant. The decor is great, it can be good for a family, or a romantic dinner for two. They have full bar, and a great one might I add. The food, is, AMAZING!! I ordered the Barbacoa de arrachera. It was awesome. No grease, just pure, awesome beef. Even the presentation was superb. My wife ordered the milanesa, which many people know, is hard to get that where the meat is not tough, and the portion size is good. Not the problem here on either counts. Tender, juicy, deliciously breaded milanesa, and a HUGE portion of it. Check out my photos. If you're in Piedras, or even Eagle Pass or Del Río, (Del Río is so close by), you must add this to your places to try. This places delivers on all points. Even the service was great. I will definitely come back every time I'm in Piedras. One of my new faves! read more

This is by far my favorite restaurant in Piedras. Every time we visit we make sure to stop here for lunch or dinner. I highly recommend the sopa de vegetales, Tacos de Kale, and the Atún Tempura. And of course, you must order the margarita de tamarindo! It is delicious and comes with rolled tamarindo, chile, and limes as garnish. The restaurant is currently being remodeled (especially the women's restroom), so thats does take some of the nice ambience away right now, but it is still a great place because they have something for everyone. read more

This place is nice. At the moment is under remodeling but it's still open and offers a nice ambiance where you can enjoy good food and company. The variety of food is great, although it offers delicious main courses, I particularly prefer the Buffalo tenders and local beer when spending some time with friends. Not all is great though. At times the waiters take too long to get your order, other waiters are really good and polite. Overall Barrokas is an excellent place. read more

Really enjoyed our lunch here today. Fresh spicy peanuts, two salsas, then a refried bean with chorizo dip came out. A lady made us another tasty salsa to our liking with 3 chili's. Highly recommend Barroka's. read more
