The owner of the company came out right away the same day, (which we appreciated greatly) though it wasn't an emergency. The owner used a drone to send up to take close-up pictures of our cement tile roof. He showed us the pictures and then gave us 2 options to select from: 1. To just fix a smaller area around the fireplace, (close to the Solar Panel that may have attributed to the leak.) by using flashing around the fireplace and under the Solar panel bracket. (We also requested the Solar Panels be cleaned as well.) 2.. Or fix a larger area beyond the leak area by using flashing, cleaning the larger area of the roof, making sure no tiles were broken and cleaning the Solar Panels as well. The owner was nice, polite and friendly. He shared that he doesn't get out to Norco very often but he was happy because he was meeting 2 of his best friends (that lived out this way) for lunch and it gave him an opportunity to see them. The owner stated that he would "get back to us that night" with the 2 estimates for Option One and Option Two. We were happy that we had found a company that could do both Roofing Repair & Solar. We were looking forward to hearing back from the Owner, as we really needed and wanted to get this project going. Well, we were very disappointed as the owner NEVER got back to us with the estimates. Scheduling took some time due to heavy rain earlier in the year, but once we were on the calendar, they got to work quickly. We chose to invest in top-of-the-line materials because we see our home as a long-term investment in a highly desirable area. During the installation, we anticipated there might be additional costs once the existing roof was removed. When issues were discovered, the team communicated promptly, which I appreciated. However, toward the end of the project, communication became more difficult. I had trouble reaching Chris, Greg, and the owner, and felt like I had to follow up multiple times to get clear answers. One situation that felt uncomfortable was when a prospective client came to our home after being told by Chris that our roof had recently been completed by Baja Roofing. While I understand wanting to showcase their work, it was concerning to have a stranger come to our house(especially because I have a small child) without any prior notice. A heads-up would have been appreciated. Additionally, there were a few instances where incorrect invoices were sent to me. Given the size of this investment, that made me uneasy, as I wanted to ensure everything was accurately documented, including the upgrades we paid for. I also raised a few concerns via email that I felt were somewhat dismissed toward the end of the project. Unfortunately, despite her responsiveness, I still had difficulty getting the information I needed from the technician assigned to my project. I understand that delays can happen, but timely communication and following through on commitments are important. I called Longhorn Roofing today and Chris said he could come over in about half an hour and repair the leak. He sure did arrive in half an hour. Chris shared pictures of where the leak started and damage. He explained that it would be $250 to complete the repair, which was reasonable. In addition, Chris shared a permanent repair quote but didn't pressure me to complete such repair. When you have a roof leak, you need to repair it as soon as possible to prevent further damage and mold. Chris had the professional courtesy of answering my call and completing the repair immediately. This is why I took the time to write this review.

Both the quotes he provided were reasonable and within the expected range for a reroof and re-shingle. He gave pros and cons for the re-shingle vs reroof and we ended up having the house reroofed. The day of the reroof Dan's team showed up on time and prepped the site laying down tarps around the house and in the garage. They quickly completed the tear off and re-shingle even fining some rotten wood along the way and completed the roof in a timely fashion! Communicating with Dan was great throughout the process where he actively kept an eye out for potential issues during the re-roof. We had an old HVAC system replaced and Dan made sure to call and make sure the HVAC team didn't leave venting disconnected.
