Shelby is not a good man. He is a scammer. A criminal. He took money up front to buy HVAC equipment. Thousands of dollars. I remodel and do not give contractors money up front, even when they demand it. But every once in a while after someone has proven himself, I make an exception. Shelby did some decent work for me, showed me a photo of his sons, gave me bids on two other projects, and talked a good game. And then he started his scam. I had a water cooler that leaked and warped my kitchen floor. I called the company that I use for the cooler, and the very next day, Barron Services was there checking and measuring my floor. By 230 pm the following day, my floor was redone! The gentleman, Carlos, who re-did my floor was wonderful. Very professional, fast, and very personable. Setting up the appointment through Shelby was fast and easy. My floors look wonderful and seemless. I definitely recommend and will definitely keep them in mind for future use. read more

UPDATE: In response to the business owner's comment - I posted this same review on Google and you responded there that I just didn't want to pay and that I owed you money to this day. (Screenshot included in photos). Yet on this Yelp review you claim you refunded part of my money just to get rid of me. So which is it? You can't even keep your story straight - that's what happens when you lie. It's obvious you took our money and used it on someone else's project and didn't have any money left to come finish our house. If I had an unpaid balance with you, you would have filed the lien like you threatened to. I had to hire another contractor after you to finish your work and correct what you did. That contractor was great and there was no problem with them whatsoever. You claiming to refund part of my money is a lie, claiming there was an issue with Servpro and that they left is a lie. You have a problem telling the truth. And now you've done it online in writing. Good way to get yourself sued for slander. read more

I am very happy with the new floor Barron Services installed in my spare bedroom. My biggest priority was to have the new floor match the discontinued flooring in the rest of the house. Shelby (Shelby Barron is his full name) was able to get a much closer flooring match than any of the other places I initially dealt with. In fact, He found two different floor options that were much closer to my original than anyone else was able to find. Things I liked: - He found a good flooring match (my biggest priority) - In the beginning he dug into what was important to me and focused on solving that. Some of the other places seemed to have decided what they wanted to do to the floor and pushing me to their plan (which I didn't want). - He was professional, personable, and Covid sensitive - Competitive price - He was helpful about looking at other flooring issues I had and making suggestions. Completed a hardwood flooring project and did a great job. Shelby was very responsive and worked with me on pricing and completed on time.

I had water damage to my hardwood floors. After providing an initial estimate, by the time I was able to get him out to work on it (I held off a few weeks to make sure I had enough money), the damage had gotten worse. He (and his workers) fixed the floor for the original amount (plus a reasonable charge for the use of a fan to dry the water). I'm very happy with his service. read more

Was needing new vinyl wood flooring installed in my entire home and Barron Services gave me the best quote by far, the installers were very professional and did an amazing job and cleaned up very well after themselves. They installed the new flooring and 2 new toilets. I experienced a few minor miscommunication issues with the initial quote to the final invoice but Shelby corrected it immediately. Lastly, I wasn't happy with the fact I had to go pickup all of my flooring material because the owner stated that he messed his truck up in the past by helping a former customer out by doing so. The shipping was too much (in my opinion) so I opted to pick the material up myself and it wasn't as easy of a task as I initially thought. I had to rent a Uhaul and unload the material by myself ( I thought it wasn't going to be that hard) in this Texas heat. All in all, great price and a great job! read more
