Evergreen Wood Flooring was a great company to work with, however it might not be worth the headache if you have engineered hardwood. They were extremely responsive, but we had a lot of uneven stain issues, some parts of the wood shaved down too deep, and some rough spots. Rodolfo came back many times to come correct the inconsistencies but overall if I went back I would just replace the entire floor instead of refinishing. I do believe they have great work on new flooring or with real hardwood floors, I would just think twice about using any company to refinish engineered hardwood unless you are accepting of some spots that may not end up looking great. I think given more time the rest of the smaller spots could be corrected but they are in side rooms that won't have much foot traffic or will be covered by rugs. All in all, I would work with them again but probably on new floors or smaller damage instead of refinishing an entire house of older engineered hardwood. I really have little comparison for prices from other places, but they went above and beyond what I paid to make sure I was happy with the final product and that alone is valuable to me. He even offered to return later on if there are spots I start noticing as time goes on. read more

I had Rudy and team out to refinish wood floors in 3 rooms. They were high gloss engineered cherry floors, quite scratched (we have 2 large dogs) and I wasn't sure they'd be able to refinish them (several other companies had told me no). I wanted to minimize the dark cherry look and they recommended a water-based matte finish. I had a big scratch in my hardwood floor. Evergreen sanded out the scratch plus a larger area, re-stained, and did 2 coats of poly. The scratch is gone and it's not very noticeable where the new/old areas meet. Color matches exactly and just a slight sheen difference that should fade with time.
