Fast forward to today, we own a car and decided it was time to find a more local option. After visiting Hawks View this past weekend I can say we've accomplished that and then some. This place sits firmly in the sweet spot of not being too "dinky" or small and not being too stuffy or corporate. I know we all have our preferences, I just like for my environment to be laid back or relaxed. The wines are fantastic here. Keep in mind, I'm no connoisseur of fine wine but I do know good from bad. Beyond the wine, we love this place due to the view (of course) but also the fact you can parlay your wine allocation pick up with a rotating menu of food. Makes for a great little weekend getaway or drive in the car.

Hopefully, they will find the nests and reduce the problem We went in early evening and were hungry so we ordered a couple of the flatbreads, hummus platter and a gazpacho. We had the white and OG flatbreads and both were delicious. Bigger than expected so we wound up taking one home. The hummus plate was also delicious and the gazpacho was the best I have ever tasted! Now on to the wine flights. We both had flights which they let us customize. We both loved all the wines we tried and we both bought a few bottles to take home. It is unusual for me to like all the wines anywhere so it was a nice surprise. We finished our meal and moved outside with a glass of the Reserve Chardonnay to relax on the lawn. The service was a tad slow - perhaps because they had a trainee that day? Hopefully, when I go again, and I will, the service will be a bit faster.

Until we were leaving and never received our receipt. We walked up to ask for it because we wanted to leave a tip. Apparently the one who helped us added her own 30% tip to our tab. We didn't complain about it as it's not our style but it's been bothering me for a while and I wonder if they do this to others without their knowledge. I'd check your receipts if you don't get one. When looking back on the website it does say they add a 20% tab on parties 6 or more. Which we only had 5 and it was way over 20%. Anyway, I wouldn't go back but be aware and check your receipts!

This place convinced her that reds can be good, so I take a lot of pride in being able to show her and her husband this gem. They said they'll definitely take their parents here too. The views are amazing, the people are friendly, and tipping is very much optional. I recommend doing the tasting and then getting a glass and strolling the property. There are adirondak chairs out front and picnic tables out back. They'll open up the glass folding windows in the tasting room on breezy days. There are beautiful flowers all over the property. Some of the wines are named after the owners' dogs - Delilah's Cuvee is my favorite!

Diane is a wonderful host and she has a passion for wine making. The wine tasting was small, intimate, and special. I loved that she surprised us with some snacks and food she made. Diane gave us information about how the wine was made and specific notes of the wine and just overall did a great job. She's extremely friendly and reminds me of my family. I want more people to come experience what I did at Nemarniki Vineyard. My experience nothing short of incredible and I cannot wait to potentially come back in the future. The views from the house were stunning, and the atmosphere she created was beautiful. The wine tasting was $40/pp and you can book it through the phone. I was first skeptical when booking since there were only 2 reviews on Yelp but I'm glad I took a chance on this place. The wines are very good to excellent. We both chose their home flight, which paired a chardonnay and a Pinot noir served side by side. Interesting concept. I had the farmers cheese and it was good and a large enough serving i could have shred it. People around us ordered the full board and it was massive enough for 2 very hungry people or 3/4 people sharing. The staff was amazing! Very friendly and so willing to help you pick a wine and provided table service. The sparkling Blanc de Blanc was so amazing I broke my wine budget just to take a bottle home to my very picky man. The Garden Cottage tasting room on the lower level of the property was not open in February so we enjoyed our tasting in the home. literally. We sat in the living room on couches around a coffee table while the adjacent dining room was being utilized by a party of 8. it was a great vibe, warm and inviting. Our host explained they use regenerative farming and winemaking processes. Their wines are aged in clay amphora casks, something we had never heard of, which imparts unique, earthy characteristics. Since the clay allows for a slow oxidation, the wine has softer flavors without the oak derived butter, vanilla and spice flavors. It's a middle ground between the oxidation of oak bottles and the more sterile stainless steal. We enjoyed the education and the wines! Would love to come back in the spring or summer for the full Garden Cottage experience. Since this is a small, family owned winery, tastings are by appointment only. Their website has the link.

The outside area is super sleepy and comfortable, with bocce ball and outdoor seating surrounded by huge shady trees. They have a vending machine for charcuterie inside which we thought was a smart concept. The indoor tasting room is a little less impressive than some others in the area but it's comfortable! The staff is very friendly and remembered our names. BUT The wine is amazing and was ultimately what made us become members. Excited to see how the year unfolds here!
