We are already members at Hawks View Winery but wanted to check out another winery close to home. We drove the 6 minutes to Hamacher and were happy to have found it. The outside area is super sleepy and comfortable, with bocce ball and outdoor seating surrounded by huge shady trees. They have a vending machine for charcuterie inside which we thought was a smart concept. The indoor tasting room is a little less impressive than some others in the area but it's comfortable! The staff is very friendly and remembered our names. BUT The wine is amazing and was ultimately what made us become members. Excited to see how the year unfolds here! read more

Disappointing. We came here on a whim and dropped in. The wine was not great and a disappointment considering all of the amazing winery's in the area. The second white on the list was a Chardonnay, and it tasted terrible. It had hints of apples, but they tasted synthetic. My two friends even poured the tasting out. Two stars as the lady that served us us was nice and sitting outside was beautiful. Would not recommend considering the bad wine. read more

Called this morning on a whim. Andrew answered and was pleasant and accommodating. When we arrived at 1 pm for our tasting we were greeted with the same friendliness and a nice glass of rosé. Very good. I have changed my mind - a good rosé is not your standard liquor store crap. We both had the mixed tasting with a Riesling, Chardonnay and 2 Pinot Noir's. Overall, a nice array of wines. Beautiful location. Used to be Ponzi apparently. They still offer a Ponzi product as theres a tie through marriage. They have picnic area and Bocce Ball for you to enjoy. I think the location is perfect and he wines are fine for some. For me, the wines were not amazing. Too light in depth and lacked any real flavor. read more

I just don't understand wineries that won't waive tasting fees if you buy a certain amount of wine. Isn't their job to sell wine? I am offering to give them more of my money not less. I understand a tasting fee if someone doesn't buy anything. Hamacher Wines does this so I won't be back or encourage others to go there. It's too bad because I really enjoyed their wine. read more

Nice staff, but mediocre wine with a fairly nice setting. Staff doesn't talk you through the wines at all, and the only food is from a vending machine. They need to step up their service and amenities. But most of all do better with their grapes. read more

Hamacher Wines is now operating out of the Historic Ponzi Estate. We had an incredible time sampling some great wines. We grabbed a bocce set and a couple bottles of wine and headed outside to enjoy an incredible afternoon with friends. There's a big grassy area and several more intimate & quiet spaces on the property to sit back relax and enjoy some fantastic wine with incredible scenery. Don't forget to try their Pinot Rosé. read more

Called this place for a reservation for Group of 12 on a Sunday afternoon weeks in advance. We were met at the door when we arrived by the person working the tasting room who immediately questioned if we were at the right tasting room & nearly insisted that we should go to the new Ponzi tasting room up the road (only 15 minutes) When we informed her we had a reservation she told us that it wasn't with her & the other girl we made a reservation with wasn't there. Loved spending Mother's Day at this winery. I had never been before, but it was recommend for its amazing wines, picnic and kid friendly outdoor space. The wine did not disappoint, and I still haven't stopped thinking about their 2014 Chardonnay. We loved strolling through the vineyards and our kids loved playing bocce ball while we sipped our wine. Overall, it was a lovely experience because our party made it so, but the unprofessionalism by others on the property who were filming some sort of promotion video was ridiculous. We were here today, on a Wednesday afternoon, and there was a film crew interviewing and filming the Ponzi founders on the property. Apparently our party enjoying our bottles of wine and having a good time was "too disruptive" for their filming that one of the filming representatives came over without a mask to tell us to quiet down. Excuse me? We are outside paying for this experience during business hours. You decided to film during business hours when the possibility of clients is always there, even on a Wednesday. Our server was apologetic and covered one of our bottles, but man what a spolier to an otherwise fun afternoon. read more

Absolutely love when I'm able to spend time here. Kaylee is incredibly knowledgeable, sweet, and always makes us feel at home. Ponzi also has their wines here that you can taste as well. They allow outside food to grab a bottle and have a nice picnic outside. They have a few bistro tables, but bring a blanket to sit on in case it's busy. Very kid friendly with lawn space and 2 bocce ball courts. Great place to relax and chat with friends and family! read more
