we had our 2 dogs down here from out of state. Our primary vet forwarded their medical records down here directly to his office so that we could get their heartworm medication refilled. His nurses were extremely rude on the phone and said dr demanded to see them anyway (charging additional 150-200 for office fee) before they would refill their RX. We asked to speak with the dr or for him to call us back. She stated he would only discuss during office visits. I used this clinic for years before when they actually cared for the the pets,,, and not just trying to scam money off of people. The attitude given now is that they have no competition in area so they can treal people as rudely as possible!! i would NOT recommend anyone going to this money pit ever again read more

You will never find more caring veterinary staff and Drs. Dr. Richardson has been wonderful for our boxer Rosie. When we had to take her in for euthanasia 8/5, they were ready for us to assist her into the room. A soft blanket was down for her to lie on, and Hershey Kisses chocolate was brought in so she could enjoy her last treat. They made a painful experience less unbearable for us. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. THEY HAVE TOO MANY PATIENTS AND WILL NOT CARE FOR YOUR PET WHEN NEEDED. Our 3 pets have been patients of Barry Veterinary. In July our Labradoodle, Jake, was ill. He was vomiting and not eating. Barry Veterinary told us that they could not get us in for an appointment AND had nothing available all week. We found another area vet to see him. Jake ended up dying at another vet. We were devastated. This morning I called Barry Veterinary and tried to get an appointment for my chihuahua mix who is limping and AGAIN THEY HAVE NO AVAILABILITY. I spoke with the office manager who offered nothing but excuses. Zero customer service. She emailed me my dogs health records! read more

Cannot say enough about how wonderful this place is! Was walking my little boy and noticed blood on his neck. His eye was full of blood. I called 3 vets and not one would help me. My 4th call was to Barry and should have been my first. Thankfully they responded to my frantic plea for help and was able to get me in. Be cautious taking your beloved pet to this place. My dog was a patient for 8.5 years and wow has the practice changed in that time. She wasn't even 10 when she passed away because of their errors and lack of trying to find what was wrong. There was a misdiagnosis that cost my dog her life. To say I'm devastated is an understatement. They ignored the symptoms the first day then said wow she's actually sick the second day I took her back. They are too busy and don't have time or care to properly look after the animals in their care. If you love your pet, go elsewhere. read more

My husband and I have been taking our pets there for almost 20 years and loved Dr. Barry, but it's not "Dr. Barry" anymore. The Dr's that built this fine practice are no longer there. A couple of the technicians and front staff have stayed on but for the most part, it's a "new group". Personally, I find the new front office staff RUDE and lacking of basic customer service skills. My experience with Barry Vet clinic has gone from "Tens Paws" to looking for a new Veterinarian. read more

Love love love it here! The staff are super kind and welcoming. My girl Tequila is always happy to go to the vet and that in itself says a lot. She is very well cared for and I know this because when I pick her up, she is still very spirited. She never returns dirty and is always healthy and happy. These people are Frauds, They do not provide the service as advertised on there website. Buyer Beware, they are all smiles, but when they get your dog behind closed doors. It's a different story. Loudog is the victims here, they only seen dollar signs and didn't care at all about my poor baby. There website is just a bait and switch. I didn't get any of the care they advertise. All, I got were lies and excuses. The office manager lied about the expired vaccine that was given to Lou, saying it was a typo. They she told the credit card company they are allowed to give expired vaccines. Even after she altered the notes in his file. Which were done on multiple occasions. (I know this because I kept requesting his medical file). Which she was not going to give me after I called her out on the vaccine. They put him under anesthesia knowing that he was having mild seizers, undiagnosed. But, they never took his blood prior, they took it after they put him under, which was to late because at that time his glucose level was at a 21. Blood work didn't come in until 4 days later. They sold me several hundreds dollars worth of meds and heartworm and expired vaccine and she said he was fine they couldn't get him out fast enough after he just woke up from anesthesia. No recover time to be monitored. I will be creating a site about Loudog and his story. But, until then if you are thinking of taking your animal to this place please reconsider. My Loudog died a horrible death. read more

This was my first visit at this Vet! Being from Orlando and just relocating here I was scared to death and stressed out that my dog was Sick. My first thought was were am I going to take my dog that I could trust as much as my own vet back in Orlando. My colleague recommended Dr. Barry's Vet. I called to make an appointment and I spoke to Alyssa. She was the kindest and most sincere person over the phone I could tell she genuinely cared about my concerns about my sick dog. I knew just from talking to her I made the right choice. You see I am a General Manager from a nearby Hotel that is Pet friendly and because of the way Alyssa and Dr. Richardson cared I will be highly recommending Dr. Barry's office to anyone relocating to the area that may be staying at my hotel! On our very first visit, receptionist very rude told us to sit in our car due to social distancing, we didn't get to meet the vet talk about our concerns and or meet the staff before giving our fur babies over to them. There was not one single person in the waiting room.. Our 13 year old mini Yorkie needed her teeth cleaned. We just moved from Crestview to Freeport, so we were desperate to find a good Veterinarian willing to intake her before her upcoming cataract surgery. The cleaning went great, but Tinkerbell has been known to be very sensitive to sedatives. The next day she wasn't quite snapping out of it, and just when we were starting to get a little concerned, a Barry employee contacted us just to check on Tinkerbell. After a brief chat they asked to bring her in just to be safe. The Vet checked her over and prescribed some meds at no cost. Since then Tinkerbell quickly recovered from her haze and she's back to being herself, minus the horrible breath. We are very pleased, and we now consider Barry our net Vet. They truly care about their furry patients. read more

We had a great experience with Barry vet hospital. We were traveling and just arrived in Florida and our big bulldog got a UTI from the trip and they were very friendly and gave great care. They answered all our questions and even let him stay the day to monitor him while we went to the beach. The fees were very reasonable. We just moved here from Texas with two dogs and three cats. Our older dog was having problems and we desperately needed a vet and heard about Barry Vet Hospital. They got us in quickly and were very nice and helpful. The staff are outstanding and very caring of all pets and we have had great success with the care they have given. They do not advocate the six month heart worm shot or three month flea/tick pills we had in Texas. Other than that they are fantastic and will help with your pets no doubt and I highly recommend them. They even called on Monday to check on our dog after our visit on Friday. Wow! read more

Needed a vet on vacation. Got us in right away. Dr. Gray was amazing! She was great with our old dog and her knowledge was so very helpful. She could have charged us for meds we thought we needed but she said we didn't and she tested and checked our loving dog out thoroughly and answered all our questions. It was an eye issue not healing well and for her to go the extra mile to be so thorough we left feeling great. Would use them again in a heartbeat! read more
