Murphy Veterinary Hospital took 5 days to give me my dog's pcr test results, even though I was told that I'll get his results the next day. I took my dog in last Thursday and I was supposed to get the results of the test on Friday. I waited for a call on Friday, but never received a call. I later found out that the results did come out on Friday, but they didn't notify me. I talked with some customer service representative type of lady (not front desk) on Tuesday and she said they couldn't give me the results and medicine on Friday since the doctor was out at the other branch. If that was the case, they shouldn't have told me I would get the results the next day. Also, they should've communicated that information with me. Instead I waited Friday and the weekend (since they are closed) and then called on Monday, only to be told the doctor would call me. Today? Tomorrow? When? Meanwhile, my dog is supposed to suffer because of the doctor's rotation schedule? After i called back again on Tuesday, they claimed they were going to call me and instructed me to come pick up the meds. We ended up waiting 5 days for only 3 days worth of meds. Had they notified me when they said they would, my dog would be fine by now. I used to like this place because the doctors and receptionists were friendly and nice to my dog. But the "system" and the poor customer service over the last 5 days have made me very unhappy with this business. read more

While visiting from out of state my newly acquired puppy was suffering from GI upset just before the holidays! Nobody could see her until after the holidays, 4 days away! Thankfully Murphy's Vet was referred to me and the staff was able to squeeze me into their already busy schedule. My poor puppy, who I got from my local dog pound, has already suffered thru a lot. She has been on two rounds of antibiotics and had two surgeries! I saw Dr Ashlee Puckett, she was thorough, knowledgeable, sympathetic, had an excellent bedside manner, and made me feel that my concerns were valid. Both the front and back office were excellent! Update from 6/4/21 review which for some reason is "not being considered in their rating". My little Yorkie DIED that day the Vet was so rude, refused to see her, even though we have been going there for years. She was SOB and he said "looks fine to me." ZERO STARS if possible because they are liars. My puppy is 8 months old and they gave him the wrong pills for an issue he had. When I called they said that there was so record or invoice for. This was a three day long issue. They are disrespectful and unorganized as fuck. So finally by the third day they said there was an invoice but for powdered medicine which we never received after admitting to making the mistake they took it back on the third day and called me a liar not to mention implied that I was threatening them. My puppy is my first dog ever I love him more than I even understand they made a mistake and would not take accountability for it after they previously did. Oh and attached is a phone of one of the pills they "never gave me". It's just pathetic how people will treat you when they could've potentially killed my baby just by mistake it's unacceptable. Dr. Tovrea is awesome! I highly recommend her if you have a rabbit. I searched forever to find a vet that treats rabbits and she is super knowledgable and she cares about the well being of your pet. She never rushes me and always takes time to explain things and answer any questions I may have. I wish I could find a regular doctor that treats me as well as she treats my pets! Awesome vet! We currently have both of our dogs going here. Our newest addition had a bad yeast infection that wasn't taking care of by the previous owner. She also had worms. Two weeks after her first visit (during covid shut down, only vet accepting new pets) she is doing so much better and much happier. Don't have to wait weeks to get her seen. The receptionists are always sweet here and this vet takes much more care in recommendations and answering my questions than other vets that I have been to. I used to go to Emerald Coast Animal Hospital because it was convenient and closer, but its always busy and it seems that they do not care. enough. When I brought my dog Luna to Emerald coast, they gave her Meds without explaining to me what was wrong. At Murphy, I am able to get all of my questions answered. For example, at Murphy vet said I could purchase this medication, or just use half a Benadryl from the drugstore and it would be cheaper. It was nice of the vet to offer an at home remedy! read more

We took our cat there several years ago to be neutered and declawed and they did an excellent job at an extremely affordable price. We just recently took our dog there to be spayed and she didn't want to leave she loved the staff so much! They did a great job on her surgery and it healed up nicely. It was also very affordable. The vet came out before the surgery to talk to us and address any questions or concerns. I just wish it was a little closer to where we live! read more

Do not use this Vet. Staff is very inexperienced and overpriced. Took my dog to them. Ran every test recommended and still had no way forward on a treatment plan, cause, or recommendation. The answer "I don't know" is difficult to understand after investing that much. Vet is probably fine for general care but don't expect more past that. read more
