They have lots of route 66 souvenirs and California souvenirs to choose from like keychains, postcards, shot glasses, cups, and refrigerator magnets. They also have tons of brochures to choose from that will surely help you find a fun activity or two to do from Nevada to Arizona to California.

Once parked at Barstow Outlets, you should visit the Welcome Center because they will hand you a booklet of discount coupons. Since I have not been back for a few years, I'm not sure they still do that?! Just as I said, Lovin' Barstow Outlets even though it seemed to be a smaller Outlet, they make a nice rest stop since there were clean restrooms with several stalls and a food court. I didn't need to make 2-location rest stops because Barstow Outlets already owned everything I needed.

With a small kitchen type counter with a sink where the coffee maker was. Large bathroom with shampoo, soap and conditioner. Free breakfast starts at 6am. There is a small "store" by the front desk for snacks. The room are not very sound proof, we could hear I15 noise, along with the room above us walking around. Other than that, the beds are comfy, the staff is great... a good Best Western while traveling.

You can also hear the freeway, even though we've stayed in many BW, they're quieter than this. We did got 2 bottled water. The bacon in the dining room was thin, and it's the best I've had. It's a delightful colourful little bus station where the Greyhounds stop, and it also has transit for local areas and the desert and valleys. It's super pretty and super cute and we liked it. It's also a rest stop for travelers as well, so you'll meet all kinds of people here, and don't forget that the Amtrak is coming through here. It just has a little bit of everything, including all your typical food and convenience store needs - like a big truck stop of sorts. Definitely four stars from me.

For those who are addicted to smoking and need their fix who can't smoke on board, this could be the catalyst as a blessing in disguise to help them quit or realize they have a left threatening problem. I'm withholding the 5th star for 5 reasons: a human hair found in bathroom, road noise is higher than expected, homeless pass through the property, the room reeked of cheap bleach upon arrival, and--worst-- there was one big fat roach crawling on the wall at midnight. I think it came in from a gap in the seal of the housing for the recessed "canned" spotlight in the ceiling. It's been cold and raining, so it was probably seeking warmth. I aired out the room at arrival and played ambient music at bedtime to drown out/mask the sound of the passing vehicles on Main Street plus the loudly talking hobos.

the staff at the front counter was friendly and helpful. my hearing isn't the best and I struggle…read morewith accents a bit, so that was a tiny bit tough for me. that's meant only as an FYI and not something to lower my rating of the place. anyhow, check in was smooth and easy. we are towing a utility trailer and was given quick and easy permission where to park and even given a room that was nearby on the ground floor rather than upstairs. heck yeah. nice guy. only one key card was given. not a problem for us as we will be sleeping and leaving. the place is pretty old and despite the efforts to clean up and maintain the place... it looks old. it's not fancy but (initially) clean looking. carpet is somewhat aged looking, paint is somewhat old but the bathroom was freshly painted and re-floored. there is a passthrough door into the next room and there are Phillips head wood screws sticking at an angle into the door frame to keep it from being opened. the a/c works and isn't too loud. the real issue is there are 2 outlets in this room and one of them is the lamp between the beds. I can't plug my CPAP in alongside the bed and have a place to plug my phone in (without the aid of a power strip). the TV remote has to be within 2 feet of the tv to work. CNN repeatedly stated "picture unavailable" and then went back to commercials. oh yeah, nearly forgot. I got stuck in the bathroom due to the doorframe being painted which led to the door jamming shut. it needs some trim work to open and close properly. for the price, not bad, just not good. would I stay here again? probably not. Edit from the next morning. The outlet on the light doesn't work. Tub was dirty. Someone's very long hair appeared during my shower.... I'm nearly bald. No bathroom fan and when I opened the window there was no screen. While the carpet isn't new (which is easy to forgive) the bottom of my feet were found to be very dirty from the little time I had no shoes and socks on. I hate saying it. Might want to look elsewhere for lodging.
