Had an awesome time at Bartaco and I would definitely say BELIEVE THE HYPE! We had a regular of ours that would always come by and invite us to come check out the space and I'm glad we finally did. Upon entering the space, you are transported out of Miami, the space is absolutely beautiful. We sat at the bar and ordered their house Margarita and it was absolutely DELICIOUS. Our bartender J, was squeezing fresh limes specifically for the Margarita and that adds to how amazing and delicious this space is and the intent they put behind their product. They make all their sauces and their food in house and their house hot sauce is FIRE, both figuratively and literally and they sell it to go as well. We didn't eat any food because we had made reservations prior, but we will definitely be back to eat!

Yum yum yum. I love bartaco and don't know why it took me so long to go to the Coconut Grove location (which is huge and has a lovely back patio for a nice day). The margs are delicious - the fresh juice truly makes all the difference. As for food, my favorite items as the fish tacos, cucumber salad and, of course, the churros with that delicious sauce! Both times I've been has had great service - with the food coming out quickly, even though the place is packed!

Bar Taco is one of a kind. Every time I'm in coconut grove it's a must stop for a margarita (or two). Best margaritas- you can't go wrong with their classic margarita, spicy, skinny, or green margaritas, they're all phenomenal. The chips and salsa, guacamole are very reasonably priced and perfect for snacking. The tacos are on the small side but very flavorful. It's a large enough restaurant for groups and the bar is a fun vibe to hang out at.

Highly recommend this place. The food, service, ambiance were great plus fair pricing. We tried about 75% of their tacos and they were delicious. Our favorite tacos: shrimp, pork belly, ahi tuna, chorizo, and the baja dish. They were so yummy we didn't even use their hot sauces and I'm a huge sauce girly so that says alot.

Really nice ambiance we really enjoyed the DJ that they had the Saturday night we went. The decor was beautiful and it felt very elevated while still being fun. Our server was lovely and helped us decide what drinks to get. The drinks is we're delicious! We particularly enjoyed the tequila flight and loved the spicy chaser!

My mom and I went to this place, it was an unexpected hit! The guacamole with chips was out of this world and the chips with salsa verde was super fresh with tons of flavor. We ordered two tacos that were delicious and lastly ended with Margaritas all made fresh there with fresh juices. The servers were charismatic and the place had great music playing, and a nice crowd. Can't wait to go back.

I love the ambiance of this place and they have a beautiful outdoor area which I recently discovered. The service was relatively quick, but it was pretty empty. I've seen the service be slower during busier times. My favorites are the pork belly tacos, sesame ribeye, ahi tuna tatako and the Baja fish taco in that order. The chorizo taco was surprisingly good. We also got the tamale and it was good as well. The duck birria was alright, good to have a bite but nothing too special. I found that the sauces are more acidic than what I usually like and they are overall not the best but the habanero one is the better one. Chloe our server was lovely

Bar Taco has quickly become a staple in my life. It's always at the top of my list when I want a great spot, whether I'm meeting friends for lunch or dinner, planning on having a dining work meeting /work session, or setting up for an amazing dinner and drinks that turn into a fun night out. I've even worked from my laptop here over lunch, and each visit has been a wonderful experience. The food is consistently delicious and, while it might not be the place to go to when expecting an authentic Mexican taco place, the tacos are elevated in such a unique way that every bite feels special. From the perfectly sized tacos to the guac, plantains, and esquites, everything I've tried has blown me away. The drinks are fantastic, and the bar staff offers some of the best service I've experienced in Miami. What truly impresses me is the affordability compared to the high-quality food and the well-curated experience. I would recommend Bar Taco to anyone looking for a solid, delicious meal and a fun atmosphere; or even anyone looking for a new place to become usuals at. Ps: They have by far my favorite happy hour in the city. The happy hour bites are delicious and the price is absolutely unbeatable.

This was our first time here ar bartaco. When we first came in, we were greeted by Heather. She was so welcoming and sweet! When we sit down our waiter was Clark ( i think that was his name)and made some great recommendations The passion fruit oaxacan margarita was amazing. I had the duck taco, shimp taco and ribyeye tacos. My friend truly enjoyed the ribyeye and I enjoyed the duck taco. The tacos are small, but I was getting full with the two that I ordered. I also eat the chips and guacamole. And for dessert, we had homemade churros, they were freshly made and delicious. This restaurant is so beautiful, with lots of plants and high ceilings. My friend and I definitely found our new favorite spot and can't wait to come back to check the happy hour and night look.

Bartaco is a beautiful and fun edition to the grove! The space is great, with 2 floors and multiple bars, plus a large balcony to hang out on and have drinks. There is a DJ at night and it is always very lively and fun. The food is very average but well priced with lots of options. It was very busy when I was there on a Saturday afternoon so the service was a bit slow, however the staff was so kind and you could tell it was only because it was so busy. I'd totally come back to Bartaco, specifically for the atmosphere and a few drinks in this fun and lovely spot!

Bar Taco at their Coconut Grove location took me into a full-on Mexican mood the moment I relaxed onto their patio terrace. The setting alone makes it worth the visit, laid-back, lively, and unexpectedly cool with movies playing like a wall-cast theater while you dine. Pair that with their pineapple margaritas, green juice margaritas, signature palomas, or a classic salty-notch margarita, preparing the mood before the you try their mexican offering. The tacos are the real showstoppers (either soft or crusted tortillas....Every bite certifies why Bar Taco executes so well. The sweet-savory Korean-style pork belly is an all time favorite, followed closely by the Yucatán shrimp, marinated in red recado and served over a roasted plantain habanero purée that makes a complete difference to a classic preparation. The sesame ribeye, glazed in a sweet sesame-soy marinade with spicy kimchi, delivers bold flavor without pulling the balance. Even the vegetarian options shine: the herb-marinated roasted mushrooms with poblano chile sauce and queso fresco are deeply satisfying, while the roasted cauliflower taco, served on chickpea hummus and topped with pistachio chimichurri and fresh pomegranate seeds was an unexpected twist, specially because I'm addicted to pistachios. If you're into seafood, don't skip the crispy oyster taco: fried oysters over remoulade, finished with a crisp, tangy lemon-parsley slaw, one of their must recommendations. Their Asian-Pacific-American fusion is obvious, but more importantly, it's executed with confidence and intention. You can tell the team behind Bar Taco really understands how to blend flavors without losing identity. Save room for dessert, because the Mexican churros are a must. Coated in cinnamon powder that gives a unique twist on the classic Spanish version, they're the perfect warm, sweet indulgence, dipped in warm hazelnut spread or dulce de leche...especially on a cool Miami winter night while getting cozy on the terrace. Huge thanks to the Bar Taco team for delivering such a thoughtful, energetic experience. The service is attentive, friendly, and on point, no request goes unnoticed. If you're in the mood to unwind, Bar Taco brings the upbeat music, great vibes, and positive energy you need. It's the perfect spot to hang out, let go of the week, and just enjoy great food, atmosphere, and loose yourself into mexi-american-latin hospitality. Orale Bar Taco!

We've come here a few times in recent weeks and the place is running nearly the same as it always has for at least a few decades, through changes in drag hosts, management and even changes to this venue's name over those years. We tend to come just before showtime so there's normally always a cover (worth it for the entertainment patrons get to see), friendly bartenders and a drag show featuring talented performers, with at least one normally interacting with patrons and doing comedy during a break in the performances, before opening up the floor for dancing once the show is complete. Azucar isn't located near much of anything else when it comes to nightlife, it's a bit divey - definitely nothing fancy or glamorous, and it's probably not worth the drive from the beach just to check it out, as at least one other reviewer mentioned. Also, all shows and entertainment, aside from lyrics to a few songs here and there are in Spanish with no English translation, so if you don't speak Spanish or have someone who can interpret at least some of the funniest bits that get the most laughs, you may not fully understand what's happening or may feel a bit left out. We were sat immediately and they had a printed sign with our name on it on our table. That was a nice touch. The service was VERY slow! We waited at least 10 minutes before the waiter (Danny/Daniel) ever came over to offer us water. Another 20 minutes later and we still hadn't ordered our food. My friend's iced tea still hadn't arrived. I had to go to the hostess stand and tell them that we'd been there for half an hour and hadn't even ordered yet. We never even saw our waiter during that time. Eventually a manager came over and took our order. I ordered the Hamachi Crudo as my appetizer and the salmon as my entree, and the blueberry lemon cheesecake for my dessert. My friend ordered the same thing, except the cookie as her dessert. My other friend ordered the Cesar salad as her appetizer and the Beauty chicken sando as her entree. The Hamachi was absolutely delicious (but incredibly small). The Cesar salad was HUGE! It was almost 2:30 by the time we got our entrees (1.5 hours after arriving). Our salmons were barely warm, meaning that they had been ready for a while, but they had been left sitting in the kitchen. We had arrived pretty hungry, and since our appetizer was only 3-4 bites, and it'd already been an hour and a half, we weren't about to send our food back to be heated up. The salmon, although not hot, was good. I liked the sauce it came in. It was a little over cooked on the outside. But, overall and well made, tasty dish. My friend liked her chicken sandwich. It came with about 2-4 big "fries". Upon using the ladies room, I discovered that the hand dryer was not working. It was 3pm (2 hours later) when we received our desserts. We had to add more time to the parking meter. The waiter informed us that he couldn't offer us any coffee as the machine was being serviced. The restaurant looks nice. The chairs are comfortable. It's nicely decorated. The music was great- mostly 80's music. All in all, we were pretty disappointed in our experience. As a Michelin Guide restaurant, we expected more. Better/faster service, for sure! A working coffee machine. Hot food. I'm glad I came for Miami Spice. I probably won't be returning. If I do return I'll ask for a different waiter.
