After what seemed like years of construction, finally Buccan has opened in miami. Didn't know much about Buccan other than it was a restaurant in Palm beach. I'm so glad it's now in coral gables and a great addition to the for scene !! Getting a reservation isn't easy, but worth the wait. Don't pass up the Tuna appetizer, corn pasta or short rib.... Amazing

This famous Palm Beach staple opened its doors this month and it's been a hit since day one! I should say it opened its windows, rather, as this lunch-only spot consists of a walk-up window without any tables. The 'ventanita' concept is well-received throughout Miami but Buccan Sandwich Shop does things a little differently as patrons do not have direct access to the window or to the counter. You make the line and place your order with a staff member, pay, and wait for your name to be called to retrieve your order. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the food is ready after just a short wait, which allows you enough time to go for a walk around the block or so. The sandwiches are famous for a reason! They are very good... The bread is very good. The flavor is very good. The price is higher than a regular sandwich because these sandwiches are special, and they are VERY GOOD! I have tried the Beef Carpaccio, Buffalo Chicken, Cuban, Cold Italian sandwiches, and the Burger (only available on Wednesdays). The house-made potato chips are the perfect accompaniment and they taste fresh every time. The ginger lemonade has a nice kick. The cookie is soft and has just the right amount of flaky sea salt to accentuate its sweetness without overpowering it. Really though, just get the lunch box on your first visit and try everything for yourself.

The long wait is over. The highly anticipated opening of Buccan, the wildly popular Palm Beach favorite, has finally arrived. Chef Clay Conley was in the kitchen and there was a lot of excitement surrounding last night's May 22 opening. It was well deserved... the place is fantastic! The Palm Beach location has always had a great atmosphere... casually sophisticated, a bit tighter, and more bustling. They've turned things up a few notches here in Coral Gables. This is a much larger venue with multiple spaces and a beautifully executed design that feels polished and metropolitan. The large bar is beautiful, inviting... the open kitchen is spacious, the dining rooms flow seamlessly into one another, and the lighting is dramatic... almost theatrical. It's a perfect backdrop for the fine chow and libations that are about to come. The menu closely mirrors Palm Beach, featuring familiar favorites like Tuna Crisps, Duck Confit, the Hot Dog Panini, Grilled Wagyu Short Ribs, and more, with dishes rotating throughout the seasons. Tonight, I started with the Florida Corn Tart with aged Beemster, tomatillo, and basil corn salad... fantastic. The Short Rib Empanada remains a favorite, packed with richly flavored short rib. The Sweet Corn Agnolotti is an absolute must... perfectly prepared pasta with a silky-smooth ricotta filling and intensely sweet corn. OMG. My first time trying the Wood-Grilled Half Chicken with charred cabbage slaw, peanuts, coconut rice, and jeow som dipping sauce. Don't overlook this dish. The chicken was perfectly cooked... moist, deeply flavorful, and very impressive. For dessert, the Olive Oil Cake with crème anglaise and seasonal fruit was excellent. While this was the restaurant's first night open to the public, the kitchen was already firing on all cylinders... every dish landed perfectly. The wines by the glass are well chosen, and the wine list has plenty of gems. Service from Christian was top-notch... a seasoned pro. His assistant, Jeff, also did an excellent job. In fact, every staff member we encountered, from the moment we entered until we departed, was impressive. For a restaurant to already be operating this smoothly on opening night is a real tribute to Chef Conley and his management team. But after witnessing the excellence Buccan has delivered for the last 15 years in Palm Beach... it's not entirely unexpected. Buccan Coral Gables seems destined to become every bit as successful as its northern neighbor. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Buccan sandwich shop window is finally open!! Restaurant opening in a few weeks. The line moved quickly even on opening day, service was so friendly and fast. We had to wait a little for the sandwich to come out but it was worth it! The beef carpaccio was phenomenal as always!! I will have to come back and try them all. No seating though so take it to-go or be prepared to find a bench to sit outside!

A very vibrant restaurant. The service was excellent. Food was amazing. We enjoyed the Tuna crudo crisps, florida corn flan with corn /tomato salad, short rib empanada, Braised Rabbit Tagliatelle (pasta) , Cashew e Pepe (pasta) for dessert we had the petite chocolate chip cookies (house made). The pastas are also house made and you can order a half or whole portion which is genius ! The tuna was incredibly fresh. I loved the music , mix of old school and new stuff. The layout of the restaurant is the best I have seen in a while. It's a collection of 5 rooms that flow into each other all amazing decorated with different art. My other favorite thing was the Restrooms (weird I know) at least 6 separate rooms and looked after by an attendant. Great place for couples & larger parties. They also have a nice bar if you are looking for a place for drinks.

This place is one of the best restaurants I've been to in a very long time. Exceptional service and the staff is constantly helping eachother out. I love the team work we had what feels like three managers and multiple servers hit our table with cleaning after each course switch out silverware. The food felt like it all had a its own experience in its own way. Every thing was phenomenal. Great job keep it up I'll definitely be back.

It's a good Florida hero. Which means it's just "ok". The main restaurant opens next week. A long line outside waiting for sandwiches but it didn't take long to receive the sandwich after I ordered.

The vibe at Buccan was electric. Went for an early dinner on a Saturday night and the place was packed, but didn't feel crowded. The decor and attention was just as good as the original restaurant in Palm Beach. Everything we ate was amazing but the star of the night was definitely the agnolotti. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a date night, but make sure to book a couple weeks in advance.

Ordering online for pick up was a breeze! Super quick and seamless. We ordered the Beef Carpaccio, Steak Bomb and the Cold Italian! All were delicious. The Half Half drink was delicious as well! The cookie reminded me of Cry Baby Creamery's chocolate chip cookie, which is great because I LOVE their cookie! Overall this was a great lunch and I'm happy it's closer to home now!

ordered a prosciutto sandwich and for $17 I expected something grand, especially with all the influencer promo. I got two tiny pieces of mozzerella and maybe three slices of prosciutto. we also asked for balsamic on the side, they put it all over the sandwich. maybe they're swamped but for this much I could get a huge pubsub made to exactly my order.

Yummy sandwiches! The carpaccio is one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. So glad we finally have this in South Fl!

You want to make a pancake where it is cooked on the outside and still soft on the inside? Sure, why not. Not our fave but the service and buildout were good and especially when we stuck with the more traditional fare, everything was delicious.

They had live music that was wonderful. It just added to the ambiance. Our server came over pretty quickly and we ordered drinks. They have a huge drink selection and I think they are well priced despite it being The Biltmore. I got the Heartbreaker martini for $18 and it was so delicious! We've come here a few times in recent weeks and the place is running nearly the same as it always has for at least a few decades, through changes in drag hosts, management and even changes to this venue's name over those years. We tend to come just before showtime so there's normally always a cover (worth it for the entertainment patrons get to see), friendly bartenders and a drag show featuring talented performers, with at least one normally interacting with patrons and doing comedy during a break in the performances, before opening up the floor for dancing once the show is complete. Azucar isn't located near much of anything else when it comes to nightlife, it's a bit divey - definitely nothing fancy or glamorous, and it's probably not worth the drive from the beach just to check it out, as at least one other reviewer mentioned. Also, all shows and entertainment, aside from lyrics to a few songs here and there are in Spanish with no English translation, so if you don't speak Spanish or have someone who can interpret at least some of the funniest bits that get the most laughs, you may not fully understand what's happening or may feel a bit left out. That said, if you're just looking for a solid drag show or appreciate Latin nightlife, this is definitely an option.
