Based on my previous review, I really liked management's response, so I wanted to give it a new try. So food. Still fusion but much less sweet this time The price point has gotten better since they didn't reissue the prices too much over the years. I'm not a big fan of ordering with QR code but the give you the option and I can see how that can keep prices low. The service has gotten much much better. Also, although tube seen the later "party side" of the establishment. The early crowd is very family friendly. In fact they give a great activity book and just not a coloring sheet. They gave us free salsa as a par of their 10th anniversary special and I was actually impressed! The guacamole, ceviche, steak taco, and elote were pretty good. The non alcoholic drinks were also very affordable. Kids chicken and quesadillas were also very good options. I'm impressed with the changes they've made in service, price, and taste. I will be back.

Decent casual spot for tacos but l can't say this is a favorite. Really it is just convenient when i'm in the mood for tacos and am nearby, but if you're looking for REALLY good authentic mexican tacos then this is not the place with that concept. Nevertheless, I do find myself coming back to this spot after a few months when I have a specific bartaco craving. Tacos are known to be smaller than your usual on a 4 inch tortilla. You will want to eat a couple if you're coming here hungry. I usually need at least 3-4 to be satisfied. Highly recommend the seafood tacos especially the fried oyster and baja fish which are my go-to's. Glazed pork belly is pretty popular and the sesame ribeye has that korean bulgogi flavor. Duck birria under "not tacos" of the menu is tender and cheesy.

Whether you're there for a quick bite or a full course meal, this place will not disappoint! I've been coming to Bartaco for years and the service + quality is always unmatched. The ambience alone is worth the visit, even if you only stop to grab a couple of drinks. I always get their side of corn and pork belly tacos, thus far the best pork belly tacos in town! Keep in mind that they're small portions, so I recommend getting more than your usual amount.

Emily was a great waitress as she was very accommodating for my friend and I's first time here! She recommended some pretty good tacos such at the crispy oyster which I tried and loved. It's kinda like a bite with a burst of the ocean a bit but very flavorful. I ended up getting a second one! The duck taco was very soft and tender. The sesame ribeye was good with the kimchi topping which balanced well. The ahi tuna taco however was a bit too florally fragrant for me so I didn't enjoy it as much. We went on a Thursday night and it was pretty busy! We got to sit near the outdoor seats which was great for the weather however the restaurant itself was way too dark to even see what we were ordering...

Caught up with a friend over drinks and bites at BarTaco. We were instantly drawn in by the sign out front advertising "Rainy Day Margaritas"--yes, please. Straight to the bar we went. The staff couldn't have been friendlier or more attentive. We shared a few small plates: the corn dip, a pork tamale, and a chicken taco. Heads up: the verde salsa packs a punch, so spice-sensitive folks, proceed with caution!

Reasonably priced tacos and a good place to stop while in Mosaic district. Some of the tacos lacked spice/flavor. I like the matchbooks they have up front. The wait was really long on a Saturday night which is fine but we kept getting told unrealistic times. First, it was 30 minutes, then it was definitely no more than 15 minutes, and it took longer than that. I would come back for drinks because the menu looked extensive.

I'm a huge fan of bar taco! I've never tried their rice bowls, but oh my gosh, the pork belly one is so good. The crispy rice is my favorite. And the salad pairs perfectly with the pork belly and adds the right amount of spice. 10 out of 10 I'm coming back for that bowl!

Good service although the waitress asked us to order and pay through the QR code menu when you first sit down. It felt like I was ordering take out since we had almost no interaction with the waitress. Fish taco: probably my fav. Light and crispy batter. Pork belly: sweet and savory with a little kick Rib eye: shredded rib eye with pickled veggies. This was my least favorite and just okay overall.

decided to try this spot as i was visiting virginia for the weekend and saw this spot was popular near me. I decided to order take out as i had a long day. Ordered around 8:50pm, said expected to be finished around 9:20pm. 30 minutes totally understandable. I get there around 9:30, i totally understand it was a saturday night, people go out and service can get more difficult to handle due to the amount of people there. I only ordered 5 tacos, the person doing the takeout orders said 2-3 minutes ( they were finishing up supposedly). 20 minutes go by, still no order packed for me. I understand it's packed. 10:15 STILL NO ORDER. I was truly becoming frustrated as i purposely did takeout to be quick and simple. I received my order realizing none of the takeout sauces were even in the bag that i requested for. I had to go back in as i read reviews their sauce was great. Maybe my expectations are too high but these were truly not great tacos. I started eating 5-10 minutes after picking it up. The tortilla were absolutely destroyed and falling apart. The carne asada was insanely dry and had no flavor. Chicken was super dry and tasted like it had no seasonings. I hate to be harsh on a establishment, i understand some days are stressful but i couldn't help but realize there was quite a bit of servers but there was only one guy finishing up the tacos with the garnishes like onions and cilantro ( based by photo there was basically none btw) definitely need improvements with service and working as a team. Maybe try coming on a weekday, possibly receiving better food and service.

Service: We were seated outside since it was a nice day and the host recommended it. It was a really nice day and felt nice. I don't think the server introduced herself/gave a name and started talking about the QR code. Drinks and food were sent and received at a reasonable pace. Our second order of tacos was given to another table and that was corrected quickly when the other table got their order of tacos. Drinks/Food: The aqua frescas were delicious! That first sip of sour and the rest is sweet. :) Ice water is available to drink in their cute bar taco glasses. Our appetizer was the poke nachos. I thought it was interesting they just gave us the large tortilla chips. But it was a great sensory experience during the meal to make my own chips! The poke dip was seasoned well and wasn't salty. For tacos, we tried the: Ribeye, duck, porkbelly, baja, shrimp lime. They were all pretty standard tacos, but the top tacos for me was the pork belly and the baja taco. Deliciousssss. I think the next time I will just get an order of those two lol. We both loved the pork belly so much we ordered again. I also ordered the churros..it was too hard to resist :) So easy to eat and the vanilla sauce was great, not many restaurants serve vanilla sauce! Did not leave hungry.

I love this restaurant! It has such a cool vibe and the food is just so yummy! Our server was super attentive, even though you do order on your phone, and I really appreciated that! You still get the super friendly service even though you can order much faster. Every time I try to order a new taco and I have never been disappointed! Even their non taco dishes are soooo delicious

Shout out to Dave the manager for making my bartaco visit feel special. He took the time to chat with me because he overheard me say I moved away and no longer have Bartaco anywhere near me. The food and service here is always great but today, him coming to chat about my loyalty to come back anytime I'm in town made me feel like he cares about his diners and the bartaco brand. As always these pork belly tacos are A+. I can't wait for my next visit back to VA.

This is the place!! Ambient, vibey, clean, so much attention to detail, and DELISH food! We came here spontaneously for lunch and had the best service. We were sat on the patio, which is the perfect spot, given a fully coloring book and crayons for our toddler, plus a kid's cup of water, which was so nice considering this place definitely doesn't look like they would cater so much to children. We ordered some drinks and tacos, and all were AMAZING! I loved the pork belly and the carnitas The tacos ARE small, they recommend ordering 3-5 per person, but even at that we still felt like this was a very reasonably priced spot given the location and decor. We also ordered some of their fresh pressed juices which were the most amazing and refreshing addition to our tacos! Everything is well labeled on their menu for Gluten Free and other dietary restrictions which was so nice for my GF/DF husband! This place felt like you could just kick back and be taken care of - as parents we like that! Definitely want to come back again soon!!

We drove out of our way to try this place and honestly it was a bit confusing to figure out where to order. There are two lines and it's not very clear which one we are supposed to get in for what. Especially because some of the items are duplicate on both menus. I noticed there was barely anyone in the "restaurant" line. Anyway, we sort of got a little bit of everything and wasn't completely brown away. I liked that they let you add your own toppings, and all of the sauces that have available were great. But the taco meats all sort of lacked a bit of flavor. Carnitas are my favorite but these were a bit inconsistent. Some pieces were very nice and juicy where others were hard to chew. I will say the place is very clean and spacious. They're pretty quick with your order as well. The food was lacking flavor for me personally. Overall, I don't think I would go back.

I came here during a visit to Fairfax and decided to see what was happening in here while visiting nearby Barnes & Noble. Nice clean spot with a bar and monitors. I came on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't crowded. I ordered the spicy mushroom, taco Bamba (skirt steak), and chicken (Peruvian). My biggest mistake was eating the spicy mushroom first. It was so hot, I could barely eat the other two. For my taste, I didn't enjoy any of the three. They just don't taste like Mexican tacos, and I guess that's the whole point. I guess I should be impressed by the variety of ingredients, but a good taco is a good taco. Sometimes a simple hamburger just beats a steak. Other diners looked happy and content, so I'm sure this place has their following. This is a strip mall with solid parking, retail stores, and other places to eat. I wouldn't call this a destination spot, with exception for the book store, Nordstrom Rack, Old Navy, and Capital Grille. The main section of the parking lot was quite full and all the stores along the mall appear to track solid business. I was hoping to sit down and eat at the bar, but it was empty with no good games on TV when I visited, so I ordered takeout, which took about 12 minutes to prepare. I wish this place the best.
