This place was recommended by our TMobile store associate (he was Hispanic so he knows the place for the best tacos in Manassas). His recommendation was on point. Boyfriend and I went there and it was legit awesome. I had three different tacos and he had two tacos and a chicken quesadilla. Amazing flavors plus we got fountain Coke drinks (free refills- score!!). Also we got there right before 1pm on a Saturday and the crazy long line formed after we already got our food and sat down. The vibe is great. Fun Latin music playing while we ate. There's a full blown bakery which had lots of good looking treats but we were too full to get any more food. Overall I highly recommend this place and I'll definitely be coming back to try other things. 10/10!

I've driven by La Jarochita Restaurant so many times and finally decided to stop in for lunch. The food is really really good!! We ordered our food at the counter. It was a little confusing where to order our food and get drinks but we figured it out. The decor brightly colored with a Spanish flair. We had enchiladas and tacos. The portions were good and cost was good. Good authentic food!!

Hands down the best tacos I've ever had! There are 3 different vendors inside, 2 serving authentic mexican food as well as a pasteleria (bakery). Went on a weekday for lunch & there were plenty of tables. Unfortunately, no salsa bar when we went, but they gave some containers with our order. Carnitas, al pastor, & barbacoa were excellent, but the must-order is the lengua (beef tongue). The meat is literally melt-in-your-mouth & so so tender. We got a lengua taco as well as a lengua torta. Both amazing! The tres leches was good but a bit too sweet & too much cinnamon flavor for my liking. Loved the churros in the bakery portion though. Already planning the next trip back!!

5/5, get the al pastor! It was just like I remember it to be in Mexico. There is a salsa station so you can help yourself to toppings. We went on a Sunday night and it was busy yet no trouble with parking or getting a table. There are 3 vendors that all share the space, so head to the taco vendor on the right side. Can't wait to go back!

    Tacos! So fresh and delicious

Yum! Food: Tried the following tacos: Carnitas, Al pastor, barbacoa, and chorizo. All with onion and cilantro. All were filled with plenty of meat and cooked fresh. Service: Fast and efficient. Friendly woman behind the counter taking orders the afternoon we were there. Ambiance: Large dining room with tons of seating.

I love this place. Tacos are on point. Busy times get kinda crazy so be prepared, I love coming when they have the Taquiza event. For the holidays you can pre-order tamales and that's a very popular thing to do. Definitely recommend! Give them a try. Great bakery too, with fresh Oan Dulce! Again during the weekend and Fridays get very busy and can get loud ambience wise!

Amazing food this is always a good spot to come back to in the dmv for tacos!! They were extremely busy and the lines were long but fast. Every table was full on a friday night, there were people sitting outside too after grabbing their food+toppings from the bar. Ate too quick to take pics this time but if you are looking for traditional tacos this is the spot.

I always get tacos here when I'm in the area! The restaurant is always busy and lively, and the vibes are great all around. I ordered my food to-go, but I can imagine it'd be hard to find a table if you came with family or a larger group. I don't have any problem ordering with my limited Spanish, and the staff are always kind and help me out if I look confused or struggle lol. I also know enough to listen to my order number being called, since they only announce it in Spanish, just as a heads up. I ordered the al pastor, carnitas, asada, and suadero tacos. Not pictured is the mango agua fresca, which was also really good.

Hands down, one of the most magical experiences I've had in the DMV--and trust me, coming straight from the sunny vibes of California, I wasn't sure anything could top that West Coast magic! But wow, this spot completely blew me away. The moment you step in, you're wrapped in the warmest hospitality--genuine smiles, lightning-fast (yet super personal) service, and an atmosphere that's cozy, vibrant, and downright inviting. The food? Pure fireworks on your taste buds! An incredible lineup of flavors that hit every note--bold, fresh, comforting, and downright delicious. From savory standouts to those show-stopping desserts that had me weak in the knees (think layers of indulgence, perfect sweetness, and textures that make you close your eyes in bliss), everything was executed flawlessly. And the best part? There's endless seating--plenty of tables and comfy spots to linger, chat, and savor every bite without feeling rushed. If you're in the DMV and craving a place that delivers on food, flavor explosions, stunning ambiance, and next-level customer love, this is IT. California girl approved and already plotting my next visit! 10/10, would (and will) rave about forever."

Was craving tacos and heard some of the best spots were out in Manassas. We landed at this spot that was super authentic. Lots of locals and was busy on a Sunday morning. All the meat was really good, but my favorite here was the carnitas. The marinade was really flavorful and the pork was fall apart tender. One of the better spots for tacos in the area! A Hidden Gem That Feels Like Home! I can't say enough good things about this taco truck/restaurant! Absolutely delicious. Every bite bursts with authentic Mexican flavor -- from perfectly seasoned tacos to the fresh salsas, you can taste the love and tradition in every dish. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite or staying to enjoy the atmosphere, the quality never wavers. The vibe is just as special as the food. With the music, colorful decor, and the smell of grilled meats in the air, it feels like a little slice of Mexico right in the heart of the neighborhood. It's more than just a place to eat -- it's a place to be. If you haven't been yet, do yourself a favor and stop by. You'll leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit.

Very busy and very traditional Mexican food. It was a little bit overwhelming inside due to the many different lines. Ultimately found the right line in ordered. There was a single mistake, but I did not care. You must order the Horchata. the best Horchata I have ever had and the price was amazing. There is a self-serving topping station which had all my favorite salsa toppings like radish and cilantro onion. It is super busy in there, but there are plenty of seating. I really liked the tripa and tromba which are both uncommon taco toppings in the area.

    Colorful store!

The server was very nice and allowed me to do a la carte on the tacos and get 3 kinds. These fell flat as the tortillas were rubbery and didn't taste fresh. The meat flavor needed love. I really enjoyed the included refried beans side, but the rice wasn't tender soft, but brittle. If I returned, I'd probably try an enchilada to sample the sauces. The filling was super generous; however, the carne asada were not the small little chunks of steak as they used to be - it was more ground beef-like? The al pastor, while the marinade was laid on super thick, I just wasn't a fan of the tangy flavor it had; plus, there were not slices of pineapples, which is my favorite part. WHAT I ATE - Virginia @ El Garage Restaurant…read moreManassas, VA We stumbled on El Garage Restaurant while shopping around Manassas and are happy with our find! There are tons of Mexican and latino eateries in the Manasas area. Some good, and some great! We think this a great one for great tasting food, affordable prices and authenticity. They have a pretty extensive menu of items. We were curious about the food kept hot in the steam tables, and we were introduced to BARBACOA! We also wanted to try something different and had not had goat or lamb done Mexican style. What a treat! Warm, tender lamb and goat, seasoned perfectly and accompanied with Mexican rice, black beans and fresh, hot tortillas. We'd say the portions of meat were generous, and so good we ate everything! The green chile sauce was spicy, but not terribly so. Watch out for the red sauce, as it may be spicier than most people can tolerate. I'm not normally a fan of Mexican rice, but this rice was very flavorful, with perfectly cooked tender grains that had the rice amount of "stickiness" to keep it on the fork or in the taco. For drinks, the cooling, sweet/tart house made Tamarindo was so good and kind of lemony in flavor. They also have Jarritos brand tamarindo in bottles, but trust me. Fresh made tamarindo is better! El Garage Restaurant is on our list of place to stop for lunch or dinner when we are in this part of Manassas. VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/GfoSv3cZ2pE
