Edwards Stage Road Chapel provided us two limos to our home, then to the church memorial service and then drove us to the West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Memphis, Tennessee and then drove us back to our house. I felt he was handled with dignity from the first moment. Something less could have gotten the job done, but they were so respectful. We left the room for them to prepare the body for transport. They let us know he was as leaving then they brought out the gurney draped in a very nice covering with what remember as a tapestry. My husband was leaving our home for the last time and they understood that and gave us time and respect. The next day I brought his clothes over; Ford Canale met with us and went over the arrangements. They assisted in all our related needs. It is not your bland type of monument that they try to sell you at a funeral home; they really captured how special she is and her beautiful life that was cut too short. I know she loves it. I'm a bit of a perfectionist and they captured just what I wanted (but better!!) in just a few days. I've never seen a monument company that can do the things that they can do - the flowers carved into her monument look so real, like you could grab one. They put an artistic twist on my ideas that I could have never thought imaginable. I gave them an outline of the things that I wanted and they gave me this graceful monument that stands out from everything else, just like my sister. They were gentle, kind, and so patient with me. I finally made contact with Yolanda after she had been out of the office on personal matters. Yolanda was unprofessional, rude, disrespectful and dismissive. Yolanda verbiage while speaking with me on the phone was unpleasant and she lacked self control in inserting herself into family issues that is not her concern. No one asked her opinion on anything pertaining to the situation although her distasteful opinion was given. Customers have the right to choose the facility that will best serve their loved one and Yolanda and her nasty attitude towards me as a family member was "disrespectful." Hopefully Mr Love will replace Yolanda with someone that has more decorum and respect for their clients. Better yet send her to a customer service class, no one wants to deal with a trifling person in times of grief.
