My wife was left in…read moresoiled diapers for 2-3 hours on several occasions requiring her to be hospitalized twice in one month. We moved the next month. We were charged for Level 4 care while we were there and when we weren't there. I frequently had to go in search of help and on occasion could not find anyone. I believe they were understaffed and there was a problem with management. After we moved they refused to respond to my texts, emails and phone calls as well as a letter that I hand delivered. Be careful and beware.

There was a fall at the facility and I didn't have any walkie-talkie or no one to call so I had to resort to calling 911 to help the patient. Afterwards then they started coming. I was let go because they claimed I used the wrong protocol. When you are left by yourself and you have no help if there is an emergency then you have to do what is necessary to assist the patient. Mr Tisdale the administrator is rude and unprofessional with no morals. He talked to you like you are trash.

He was a Nurse Practitioner and traveled to many nursing homes, hospitals and facilities throughout his career. This was one of his favorites and the home was generous enough to allow his memorial be held here. The memorial was held in the lobby/public area which was very comfortable and cozy. The staff was very kind and respectful to all in attendance. The physician that our loved one worked with and the Hospice pastor were great liaisons between the nursing home and the guests. After the service we were directed to an adjoining room where a light buffet and refreshments were setup. The room was perfect for this setup and allowed everyone to mingle between the two areas. We ran over the allotted time but never asked to leave or cut it short. We really appreciated the kindness they showed to the family and friends.

The wait staff are rude and do not help the residents who need help cutting their meat on the place etc. In the memory care area personnel are nice and try to do their best but their hands are tied by management. This place is old and outdated. Since I left this review my mother became very ill with pneumonia and even with my persistent that she needed to see a doctor, Colonel Oaks said there was nothing wrong with her. I had to call 911 to get her out and taken to the hospital. One month from the day she was taken by ambulance from Colonel Oaks to the hospital she passed away. Please don't take your love ones to this place.

This place brand new and is really bright and beautiful, the food is way better than others. It was about the same price as others. Everyone seemed friendly and the best thing was the owners were there every day . Originally she had a really nice little one bed apartment on the AL side. But then dementia started to take hold so she was moved to the memory care. They keep more of an eye on them in memory care I slept better at night knowing she was in this place, it was really nice, extremely secure,clean and above all she was happy there. Which really made me happy because she absolutely hated the one she was in before. My mom passed away last week and I couldn't believe how many people from this place called or texted me to give condolences. They really care. i thank them all for taking care of my mom

This is a locked unit, which is exactly what we needed. He has his own room, although eventually, he may have a roommate. The staff is very kind, and accept phone calls any time so that we can check in on him. He has a better social life now than in the last 15 years. They have good activities pretty much daily. The activities director sends photos regularly. This place is a blessing.

The majority of the caregivers are wonderful, caring people. Unfortunately, the Auberge does not…read morehire nearly enough of these caregivers, so the place is woefully understaffed. The front office experiences very high turnover and is another case entirely. When signing the initial contract upon move-in, they neglect to point out the predatory pricing practices family members are forced to agree to. Signing this contract occurs at a time of great duress for family members, and the Auberge capitalizes on family members' weakness. When providing the required 14-day notice of moving out, I would advise anyone to beware of the minute details you must adhere to in order to comply with their specific move-out notification. They would regard even the most minimal deviation from their required process as cause to void your move-out notice, thereby allowing them to charge for even more days after your loved one is gone. If you can manage any sort of refund for unused days (due to your loved one moving out for any reason, even death), be prepared to wait weeks to receive it. While The Auberge is eager to tack on late fees for any delayed rent payment, they shamelessly hold onto your money for their own use as long as possible. In our case, it took 80 days to receive our refund, even though their contract states that any refunds will be received within 30 days of move-out. Further, in addition to the required 14-day notice (up to 30 days in some instances), be aware that the Auberge also charges for caregiving even on days when your loved one is in the hospital and clearly not receiving care at Auberge. Make no mistake, The Auberge cares far more about your money than your loved one. Of course, in an industry where customer loyalty and retention are irrelevant, I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

She recently visited her family but was allowed to return back to the facility to test positive for Covid 19. There are nine cases of people testing positive due to this one resident. Staff tried reasoning with management but no resolution. Please have someone of authority to give this facility a call before residents and staff become more affected. This is considered a hazardous environment and not safe.

If I could give it a negative rating I would…read more ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS FACILITY.... they have quite numerous issues there....starting with severe staffing shortages, which manifests in many problems in other areas. They are definitely understaffed, and have been as long as I have been going in there. They don't have nearly enough so-called "care givers" to take care of all the responsibilities to their residents....and ALL of the C/G's there have admitted this to me. This is despite that management vehemently denies any short-falls. Seeing this is VERY obvious - it shows up in just about all aspects of the daily activities. As a result response times to the resident elders is much delayed and/or C/G's leaving before the task(s) is/are finished, leaving residents frustrated; For those residents that don't eat in the dining room but rather eat in their rooms. they have to wait until dining room service is over with, THEN get the "to-go" meals delivered - quite often getting their meals delivered cold and WAY after the meal times. The "management" has always vehemently denied that they are understaffed, but there are examples after examples after examples - some stated here, for instance, my Mother pushes the call-button for bathroom assistance, a C/G arrives, when they get there only staying about 1 minute or so, puts Mom on the toilet, then before the job is finished, says she (the C/G) has to go tend to something else in another room, but "will be right back". Almost an hour later Mom is still sitting on the toilet. When confronted with this, the C/G winces, and says "oh so sorry, I got busy with other things and forgot". The C/G's themselves admit it - heck, the situation makes it much more difficult on them! Heck, Ray Charles could see that they are under-staffed. And why management continues to deny the obvious is anyone's guess (yes, it's financial, less spending = more profits) all at the expense of good and proper service to the elders. In another example, yesterday (April 21, 2026) at 11:10 a.m., a care giver arrived, asked Mom if she wanted to eat in the dining room or here at her room. She suggested that Mom go to the DR, and Mom agreed, and C/G said she'd be back in 15 minutes to take her there. The care giver didn't return for over 2 hours, until 1:15 pm and with a "push-carted" lunch plate. When asked why she didn't come back as she earlier said, she said she was very sorry, but that she got busy with something(s) else and forgot. And the list of examples goes on and on and on and on. BTW, the lunch plate (hamburger and fries) was COLD when it arrived (thank goodness I bought a microwave for her, lest probably most/all of her meals would be cold. In other cases, they hire caregivers without experience, without giving any training, and/or from other countries, who do not speak English well, are from countries with big culture differences, and do not know their craft - nor do they get training before being set loose in the facility. One morning almost 2 months ago Mom had fallen onto the floor, and one so-called caregiver violated proper procedures by (at least 2 c/g's should be there to get a resident up and off the floor), however this gal, on her own, winched-up Mom from the floor by herself - and it looked more like a calf-roping at a rodeo. This was a very very risky action (see attached video from her room's security camera of this event). In another case, there were several large ant hills being built in Mom's room - beside the HVAC unit on the floor (see other feedback file). Another bad feature - the dining room serves poor quality meals too often - too many times it's just cold cut sandwiches and potato chips. Also, loud verbal in-fighting among some of the caregivers. Make your own mind up if this is where you want your loved one.

LARGE ACTIVE ANT HILLS INSIDE MY MOTHER'S ROOM - I found 2 to 3 to maybe 4 ant hills (2 larger ant…read morehills and 2 smaller ant hills - but you decide how many by looking at the video below) inside my Mother's room - right beside the HVAC unit on the floor and below the window to the courtyard. Ants were crawling all around those hills. They are disgusting, definitely unsafe / unhealthy and even perhaps (likely) dangerous. Very poor maintenance, poor over-sight, unqualified employees, some with very bad attitudes. Yes, some employees are v good, but too many are in the wrong field for various reasons - and don't belong in the elder care / medical field. Things are out of control, not enough staff to properly handle this critical elder care business.
