We spent the end of summer here. We took up a couple spots for our crew. At one point we had a half dozen different families hanging out. It was awesome. We stayed across from the restrooms and showers. Really convenient. The campgrounds are huge. Very clean and not far from where we live. It was a great time and close to our home. It used to be a nice clean family park. No more garbage cans in camping area. Only dumpster s at the entrance. A squatter bus they finally got rid of after hours maybe days. Overgrown trees and shrubs with lots of dead branches. Grass areas not mowed. FIRE HAZARD. Church rented picnic area0 #2. All the trash cans were full. Parking area was not condoned off as in past years Overall psrk is in a shambles and not maintained. Also trees and shrubs covered with blackberry bushes. Also don't worry too much about paying to park. No-one works at the entrance anymore it's just a machine. If they are that short of workers I doubt anyone checks. Water sticker at picnic area will not turn off gushing water. Noone to tell. Probably still gushing a day later read more

Make sure you pay to get into the park in January at 5:10 pm (found out the park closes at 6 after the fact) or you will get a hefty parking ticket. We got out of the car for a total of 15 minutes but Clackamas County feels that is worth 80 bucks to solely "enter" a park without paying. No exceptions. Who knew! Seems like the other reviews indicate the staff are not so nice to follow me down to give me a ticket so late in the day. I would have to agree. So many other beautiful parks in the area! This is a decent RV and camping site about 40 minutes outside of the Portland area. We stayed two nights in an RV and booked pull-through site 60. After arrival, we noticed that our 29 foot travel trailer and 26 foot pick-up combined will be a really tight fit to turn a sharp corner into site 60. After clearing the turn barely and eventually backing into site 60, we noticed how dark (shaded) and small the area around the site was. It was frankly BORING! So I hopped on my bike and drove around the park to see if other spots were better and open / available for the next two nights. Fortunately, I ran into a few park employees who okayed us to move into site 66 which is right next to a retaining pond and had much more available space making it much less boring for my three kids and us parents. (site 66 was a host site that happened to be open in between hosting tenants) Yay! After night one, we noticed that this park is BORING and fit in nicely with the name of the town it resides in. We only needed it for evenings since we were in the area to visit Portland so it was ok, but nothing special. Even the little pond near our spot ended up being BORING since it wasn't for swimming or boating or anything fun. The playground around the corner was BORING too. On the plus side, the park is quiet and safe. It is ideal for a few nights at most. The other loop was more rustic and had more trees but it also had tent campers who were mixed in with RV sites. The other loop had a better playground. Both loops had restrooms (we didn't need). No laundry or camp store inside the park but less than a mile away is a small market and gas station. More shopping choices are available a longer 20-plus minute drive away. ****Be aware that this state park locks its gates at 10pm and opens them up at 6am so if you need to be away late in the evening or super early in the morning to park outside the gates.**** Not much luck for someone who needs to move an RV in or out beyond those hours. They said it was to keep out any unwanted visitors but the area for miles around the park is farms and homes and it seems secluded from the hustle bustle of Portland. read more

Probably the hardest review I've had to write. Took a two week camping trip need to be pretty close to the house in case of an emergency. I picked Barton Park And off I went. I stayed in the Eastside which means you can have an RV but you cannot have tents. Quiet time starts at 10 PM, and my quiet time they mean 100% silence. So you can now sit in your RV and listen to the west side party scream light off fireworks shoot guns till two and three in the morning. When you bring It to the attention of the security officers or the park rangers or the camp hosts they explained that they cannot work 24 hours a day. So when they leave at 10:30 at night if people don't abide by the rules it's not their fault nor is it their problem. While walking during the day I was able to meet a very nice couple who are full timers and they were remodeling their kitchen in their RV. It was very interesting to watch the two weeks that I was there how that came along.But I have to tell you it was kind of weird when four campsites down from me went on top of his RV to clean his solar panels and was told he could not work on his RV in the park. West side camp host Sits in her chair with her husband waving at people watching their little doggie, Wow the east side camp host drives around in his golf cart all day and all evening. I wouldn't know that if his golf cart was not in need of serious repair. There will be no lounging in your lounge chairs for a quick outside nap you will be woke by the horrendous noise. Watching a movie outside with my children no one on any side of me and only three other RVs in the entire east side camp, Two of which were watching the movie with me. I was told that it was 10 o'clock and I had to shut it off. Because it had volume. When I asked if it had volume that they could hear they said no but that did not matter. So the next night we went to earbuds, and they came by at 10 o'clock to shut us down again because you can't have any kind of a projection outside because it produces light. Walking the trails you had to walk over downed tree branches down tree stumps and loads of other debris. It absolutely seems weird to me that the campsite has security it has camp hosts And it has Park Rangers. And yet the park rangers are not required to maintain the grounds. During my stay turtle was found, that was the responsibility of the security officers to sit back in the water. I was able to call Clackamas County and spoke with Mr. Tom Riggs. He explained that he would talk to you them and find out if everybody was on the same page, that was worthless to do is come Monday all they were was more rude. No one bothered to report a power outage that we had for nearly 5 1/2 hours everyone just saying somebody Musta hit a pole, however that wasn't the case it was a breaker in the park they would've known about sooner and they looked. I saw the east side camp host talk to vehicles about their speeding, at the park rangers would've been hard-pressed to say anything to anyone about their speeding considering they were speeding when they drove through the park. The park rangers were very in Fattic about not letting a tire touch grass, however when they would park their vehicles instead of pulling into a parking spot that they were blocking anyway they park their vehicles on the grass. No one bothered to pick up trash throughout the park nobody bothered to pick up dog poop that was left by other people. Don't let your kids watch movies don't let your kids play outside don't let them have sidewalk chalk. There is not one person that works there that knew where the volleyball net that was. They couldn't find it. Couldn't find tetherball. I'm pretty sure I could go on but why bother they do t care. West side had 5-7 tents per site and 7-10 cars per site. All crammed making everything difficult. Watched RV's having trouble maneuvering around to just get in or out of their sites. Dead limbs everywhere. Trees that need to be cut to Allow RV's to enter. Only one gate open to come in do if you have a pass you ESIT behind all people checking in read more

Easy to find since it's at the tail end of the road when you check into the park. Docking our Kayak was also fairly easy. We came on May 30th so the park wasn't really open and the air pumps were shut off, therefore it was not very busy at all. It's $5 to get into the park which isn't too bad. Ended up kayaking all the way to Carver and had our car shuttled over there by a third party. It was the perfect route. Absolutely love it. Keep in mind that parking is limited since the spots are double and usually make for one vehicle with a trailer for example. read more

This is a great camp ground that's pretty close to the city yet far enough away it doesn't feel like it. RV sites, tent sites w/ hook ups, and primitive campsites to choose from. Alcohol is allowed while camping, which is always nice. The bathrooms were easily the cleanest campsite bathrooms I've ever seen! They did a great job keeping it clean and stocked with supplies. The campsite itself was also clean. Lots of little trails to go through. There's some construction going on, but overall it wasn't super disruptive, though it does limit some river access. read more

The good: Barton Park has the potential to be a gem if the staff could get its act together. The grounds are well maintained and the river access has a lot to recommend it. It's a solid option if nearby McIver is full. The bad: The staff here are just weirdly adversarial. They could do a much better job of customer service and ensuring that families feel welcomed. Example: On our last full day, I was leaving the park via bike to head to the corner store to restock ice. Before exiting the kiosk area, one park employee jumps out of his truck to block my path. He starts filming with his phone and apparently accusing me of going through people's trash. It was frankly bizarre. The guy calls in what I'm wearing etc. and finally, begrudgingly just waves me through. No "hey, sorry about that. My bad" or anything like that. If you're willing to overlook generally rude staff, the location is solid. read more

We stayed in the East section in an RV. We had a nice paved and private pull-thru for one night. The site had electricity and water. There is a sewer dump at the exit. Our site had at least 3 piles of dog poop in it when we arrived. When I walked my dog around the holding pond, there was dog poop everywhere. I ALWAYS pick up after my dog and can't stand it when others are irresponsible. read more

When we got done floating, the security harassed us and told us to drive off while we had people HALFWAY IN THE CAR! They demanded we compromise our safety, almost got us injured, and laughed about it! This is a rant about how a negative interaction can almost ruin a vacation when good customer service could have mitigated the whole situation. Tonight (July 20th) we tent camped at a nice RV campground. Not great for tent camping, but our last resort before driving another 45 minutes to get a hotel. We had already driven 5 hours after a delightful time mountain biking and happy camping in Oakridge, Oregon and had been skunked by a full campground at the first place we tried to stay. Then Google Maps sent us to the Ranger Station Headquarters for the address of two other campgrounds. I was tired. I was grumpy. I was hungry. We chose our spot away from the fray. We waited to stake out our tent until the camp host came through to take our money and sell us firewood. She came by, all was well. Then Jr Ranger Rick came by. They have a handy IPad to register guests that he is carrying. There is an empty space on either side of us (#28 & #30) and we are inhabiting #29. He has come by to take our fee. Me, having three strikes against me, informed him we had already paid. He said no. We are in space #29 but PAID for space #28. Really, dude? We have a fire going in the fire pit, it is one shade away from being dark. Our tent is staked out and our food is cooking away on the stove. Clearly this kid wants to be a cop when he grows up, because the next thing out of his mouth, kinda condescending and authoritative is "Ma'm, I am just telling you what is in our system." At this point I have to keep my mouth shut and it was oh, so hard. My very level headed boyfriend shows him the receipt that says #29. Instead of saying, "okay, I'll see what I can do to correct this," he says " I'll have to see what is going on." I can hear on the radio that the lady that took our payment typed in all our information says "oh, I must have typed it in wrong" and Jr Ranger Rick comes back AND STILL trys to make it our fault. No apology, no "we can just fix it in the system." He says " well, I guess it's okay because it's only one night." Dude, you are not a cop yet. You are in customer service. Clearly I was not in the mood to have my night disrupted by having to move over one spot because of a typo. BOTH SITES ON EITHER SIDE ARE VACANT. Just fix it in your computer and move on. Say your sorry, say it was a mistake on the IPad laugh it off about how close the 8 and the 9 are on the tablet, pull the stick out of your ass and move along. And APOLOGIZE. If that had happened, then I would not have had to do all this typing on a tablet. The reasons it gets 3 stars are the following: 1 They lock the gates at 10pm. Here are a couple tips: 1) arrive early at Carver to park. if it's a busy, hot saturday, get here by 11 and then head up to Barton and chill, have a sandwich and blow up the tubes. 2) just pay the $5 to park...I see the ranger write a ticket every time...it's 5 bucks people 3) cans are better to take on the river than bottles...they are lighter...oh wait, i shouldn't tell you that cause drinking is "prohibited" on the river 4) bring a small raft to float your cooler, sunscreen to protect your skin, and a paddle if you're impatient. 5) your raft should have a cup holder Follow those simple rules, and the 3 or so hour float will be a great way to spend your summer day. read more

The Clackamas River rose 2ft overnight this weekend. I swear that water was running at 25mph. So fast and ice cold, my toesies were frosty after a wiggle. The park has a boat launch, camping, fishing, picnic space, and it sets up you right close to the river and associated drunken bikini clad women, rockin their sag with hot abandon. And, volleyball. In the sand. I'm was rockin my hot abandon while sucking at volleyball with 11 other people. I got sunburned, I got bruised. It was like Vegas all over again. Check it out if you find yourself in the middle of the deepest SE you can imagine. One star off for inaccessible bathrooms at the volleyball court, and almost falling over in the Honey Pot 100 yards away. read more

Park is great, but watch out for the head honcho female warden who gets her rocks off by threatening to impound guests' cars. Our keys were stolen in the parking lot and it took an unearthly struggle to get a locksmith out to help, and eventually a tow truck was required because after three hours, there was no way it was going to be fixed in time. This woman was the most outright smug park employee I've ever encountered, and showed absolutely zero consideration for the situation. In fact, she quite obviously seemed to think it was funny, and was practically foaming at the mouth to get any remaining vehicle towed out of the parking lot by 10pm. Funnily enough, our tow truck driver ended up being the same one used by the park. Look, I get it-- the park closes at 10-- but that doesn't mean you have to be a discourteous windbag to people who are already in a stressful situation. The other park employee was perfectly kind to us, while this woman was quite obviously wallowing in schadenfreude. Visiting was not worth paying this miserable twat's wages. End of. read more

Great location, clean facilities, and friendly hosts. Barton may be quiet without the bells and whistles in other parks, but I feel that is sort of the point of camping. There wasn't a lot going on in terms of programming but there was a beautiful river, awesome scenery and a quiet atmosphere. I rated four stars and not five because of the lack of hiking trails and poorly marked trails. The map indicated there was a trail that looped around from the RV camping area down to the river, which would have been awesome since that would mean I didn't have to walk along the street to get down to the water. I went out with my map, searching for that trail and never found it. I did wind up in the middle of the forest on a trail that just sort of disappeared in front of me. I ended up turning back when it brought us to a small cliff. Decided I would walk along the street to look for the other side of the trail. I found something, but the sign indicated it was a nature trail that didn't allow dogs. That wasn't marked anywhere on the map. Not sure if that was the trail or not, I think I just never found it. They have hiking signs, but at one point, they lead you to an actual fence. Like the sign is five feet away from the fence, so clearly they need to update their signs. I don't really know what to say about how disappointed I am with the Clackamas County Parks & Recreation Department, as well as the Clackamas County Sheriffs Office. Finding the words to describe the disappointing interaction between us, pales in comparison to the lingering aftertaste I will always experience when I think of Clackamas County. Such needless negativity on a beautiful day like today. I hope you gain some insight from this incident, so that you may avoid staining someone else's summer vacation. I woke up around 5am, tuned up my bike, packed my trailer and rode my bike down to the Moda Center, where I caught the Blue line over to Gresham. From there I caught several winding trails, some with bike lanes, some without I managed to get there in 1 push, although it exerted me quite a bit. There was an abundance of rocks in the bike lane, which made the experience feel rather unsafe. 2 hours later, I make it to Barton park, trailer in tow. I pull up to the front with all my camping gear. This being my first time there, I was unsure of the procedure. I had a delightful conversation with the young lady at the Kiosk about my ride out here and the beautiful scenery along the way. I promptly attempt to pay whatever she needs from me to make this official. Instead, she tells me that I don't have to pay because I'm not in a motorized vehicle. That was a total score considering I had just biked all the way there and I was unaware of such an awesome opportunity. "Keep Portland Green!" I always say, and I dismissed this as another awesome, newly discovered perk of living in Oregon. There always doing something like that. Like that time they raised the bottle deposit to 10 cents back in April, they're worth good money now! I chucked it off as good ol fashion earth stuff and continued about my way. I've lived here for about 4 years now and I'm always discovering new things I've never heard of, Barton Park being one of them. I continued along the path, and I noticed the first campground said "RV' ONLY", so I continued along to the second campground where I noticed a bunch of tents and RV's spread throughout. I also noticed that there was electric and water outlets, also something I never experienced before. I brought everything I needed. I was completely self-sufficient, and decided that it was something I'd rather not mess with. I chose a spot away from all outlets and water faucets. it was by 3 trees and nothing else. An open field with the occasional tent. I popped the tent, ate a sandwich I brought from home, and headed to the river with all my water gear. The entire floating experience was great. Everybody I came across loved the fact that I was riding an air mattress instead of a tube. It's way better and your butt doesn't get hit by all the rocks. I also had a paddle, so I was sailing at some epic knots with unbelievable precision. This one dude had a paddle and what looked to be a $100 raft. He was rowing so hard like he had somewhere to be, and I just glided past him in my $7 air bed. I caught a ride back to Barton Park from a swell dude, also named David. Super nice guy, him and his whole family. He was also the first person I asked, which shows us how common place it is for someone in Oregon to look out for bike riders. He gave me a lift back to the campsite and dropped me off out front. As I walked towards my tent, this lady walks up to me with her radio, and says "You need to leave" "pack your stuff and go". I'm very confused at this point, and also quite fatigued from the bike ride and the floating. I try to explain that I had gotten permission to camp here. She blatantly denies that I am telling the truth. Seeing as there is no point in aiming to reason with her, I ask to speak to her supervisor. She scurries off, clutching her radio, ready to report in. A few minutes later two men show up and begin the recorded conversation. Following that conversation, I felt very unwelcome, as the campsite wasn't very multicultural. Being Puerto Rican with Curly hair and a beard, I often get mistook as Middle Eastern. Something that makes older, Caucasian crowds uncomfortable, the Snow Birds in particular. I can see this lady hiding behind a tree, and I can only assume her name is Debra. Hiding behind a tree like it was window blinds seems like a Debra thing to do. I start to pack my stuff as the two men left, knowing I'm being stared at by everyone around me like a criminal. I have been looking for places to crash while I search for living opportunities in the Portland area. I saw this campground and how close it is to the cities in this area and thought why not check it out. First off, I arrived in October so it's clearly not the main season for this place. It was fairly empty and absolutely beautiful. The staff here were very friendly and courteous and it is patrolled by rangers on the reg. So be sure to follow the rules, or they will be on you like white on rice. Each night I was greeted by the howls of Coyotes and Elk. This was absolutely surprising as Portland is just 30 min away. The facilities have nice showers and bathrooms and most of the spots have running water. There is a fence that surrounds this campground which is somewhat comforting regarding wildlife. If you are in the Portland area and want to have a unique camping experience, check this place out! I loved it! read more

I've now camped at both the West and East sides of the park about a year apart (2021-2022). I did like the West side a bit better though I felt more harassed by the camp host on the West side in 2021. They are VERY strict on noise on the East side. But other than reminding us to turn our radio off for quiet time, we were not bothered on the East side (2022). We go for the Barton to Carver float. We usually go with other couples. This is NOT a luxury campground. If you like trees and well maintained campsites/grounds this is NOT your place to camp. Each time I've gone the bathrooms aren't well kept and only one out of 2/3 sinks work and only one soap dispenser would work. The showers suck. No place to put your things and the whole floor gets soaked. No one cleans and I've complained but to no avail. If you have a trailer or RV, there's only one dump site on your way out so if it's busy, prepare to wait in line and block everyone. read more

We camped at this park this weekend and will NEVER RETURN. I have never seen more unfriendly, unhelpfully and unwelcoming park hosts. This park was empty this past weekend but the hosts harassed us the entire time. At one point they even called the police because our dog was briefly off her leash! They couldn't say anything to us? Nope, straight called the police. The sad thing was the sheriff told us the park hosts do make a lot of frivolous calls to them and it's always a waste of his time. Campsite was nice and clean but spots 70-80's is just in a giant empty field with very few trees and no privacy from other campers. read more

Recently stayed at Barton East. This area is the newest and landscaping does not provide much shade or privacy. I was told water supply problems prevented irrigation, hence the lawn areas were quite dry and brown. It is my understanding the water issues have been solved so, hopefully the area will begin to green-up. The showers and restroom areas can use additional attention, cleaning a little more often would be nice. The push button showers are awful. Three button pushes to get past the cold water and if you do another three it moves to the warmer than comfortable side. 30 to 45 seconds per button push. Reminded me of water rationing in the military. For the most part we found campground to be quite nice. All staff and hosts I encountered were pleasant and accommodating. Many people have commented about the rules and some disagree with all or part. It is my opinion that in such a large park that provides areas for overnighters, rv's, and day users certain rules are required to help keep the areas safe and clean for all to use. This area is definitely clean and we always felt secure. Can some of the help possibly benefit from a a visit to "nice" school, sure, but you can find poor service or rude people just about anywhere, if you are looking. Common sense does not find its way into everyone's life, unfortunately. We found this campground to be relaxing, and a great place to use as a base while visiting in the Portland area. We enjoyed our stay and tried to extend a few more days, however the park seems to be at capacity on weekends. read more

So..... did anyone know the camp host can do a walk through in your campsite to snoop and see what you have out? Apparently the night we got there they saw we had glass bottles but chose to not say anything to us about that being against the rules. Until the next day that is. The group i was with went floating and i stayed back with the kids. Good thing i did or who knows what she would have "checked on". She told me if i wanted glass bottles i would have to go to the other side and pay $150 a night. Um WHAT?? If that's true, no freaking way! I put the glass​ bottles in a tote and she walked away saying she was saving us a citation from the sheriff. Ok. Thank you. Then that night the little ranger people came to "intimidate" us by saying (at 10:43pm) that the night before we were to loud and if it happens again they will kick us out immediately. The river was awesome. The hosts and rangers clearly all hate their jobs and its apparently everyone else's fault. My strong advice is don't camp here. Oh and no matter what you are told, there are a TON of mosquitos! read more

Had to leave with NO refund. Park is very pretty and tent sites have water and electricity. Also included nearby are toilets and showers. That being said the rest turned to poop. After setting up our tents we realized we had brought a child's tent instead of our family tent. Therefore only our 11 year old had a place to sleep. My husband and I decided we could just sleep under the stars. We aired up our mattress and set up a make shift tarp to keep the morning dew or any sprinkles off our heads. Keep in mind we drove over an hour to get here. After settling in we prepared our dinner and ate. After cleaning up it was starting to get darker out. It was then after hours of being there that a super nice couple comes by (a couple running the park) to tell us we could not have any tarps up and we were not allowed to sleep outside without a tent. I look to my husband and say,"I guess we have to sleep in the car", they tell us that's not allowed either. Ok, I explain that we're are far from home and only brought a child's tent that we can not fit in only our 11 year old. They tell us that we have to buy a tent and Bi-Mart is open. I drive to Bi-Mart only to find it closed so I call my husband that is at the camp with our daughter and two elderly dogs to tell him the store is closed. My awesome cool headed military husband looses it at this point he is already upset about these so called rules that are NOT listed on the web site. He tells me we are packing up to go home in the dark of night to come back. When I get back I tell the young man park ranger that comes by our predicament and ask for a refund as we can't stay the night. I am told that I have to call Oregon state parks line Monday to ask for a refund. He then tells me we have to give our pass back with all our information on and offers no receipt in return do I copy down all I can from the pass hopefully it will be enough for the offices on Monday to get our refund but I doubt it. At least it was paid for by credit card and if we don't get our money back through the parks offices then I can go through the credit card company. I would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

The tent options are of course more woodsy and camp like versus the paved, plumbed and powered RV options which is more wide open. We liked the oil through spot we selected which felt a little less open. Camp hosts were very cordial and welcoming. Nice spot to float on the Clackamas. Stayed a week out here, bathrooms aren't sanitary, there's been shit on the walls in two of the stalls for 4 days now, wonder how long it will be there? Even after they clean the bathrooms every other night IT'S STILL THERE. Two out of 3 of the stall doors dont lock. One of the paper towel dispensers was out of paper towels for days. Mens bathroom was out of soap for days even after informing maintenance staff. They don't provide enough trash cans, everyone has to walk a mile to throw garbage away unless you want to keep a garbage bag of your own at your campsite and attract bees. They used to have trash cans every few campsites, the staff must've gotten lazy because you know it must be hard to drive around in your golf cart to each trash can to change the bag The "camp host" spot aka the camp hosts family member they're let staying in that spot, whom they let keep coming in at 10:30, 11pm every night (funny I thought the gates closed at 10) they come in late at night after hours EVERY night making a bunch of noise; blowing up air mattresses, putting ice in their coolers, settling in ect. and everyone around gets to hear it but it's ok because they're family of the camp host They don't enforce the "10mph" throughout the campsite so be careful if you have kids out riding bikes. I guess it'd be hypocrictal though to enforce a speed limit when the camp host herself goes over the speed limit in her go cart EVERYTIME. Been camping here my whole life and some things have gone down hill and some have improved. They've improved the roads from gravel to asphalt, they've built new play grounds. But they definetly need to improve their staff workers I've read other reviews as well about the staff being rude so it's not just me that thinkin that. read more

Barton Park is a lovely setting and the fact that it is within an hour of Portland makes it a spot that we will surely visit time and again. Particularly given the very positive experience that we had there last weekend. Clackamas Parks made Barton Park available to the Boy Scouts Cascade Pacific Council for its annual Camporee, the weekend before the season opened. This surely must have required a ton of preparation on the part of the park crew, and I must say that the park was absolutely pristine... clean and beautifully maintained. The bathrooms were spotless. Ponds, trails and plenty of green space in which to watch the busy birds and other wildlife... sublime. Park ranger, Thomas Gray, and his crew were top-notch, seeing to our every need... with smiles all the while. We are looking forward to returning very soon. read more

This is a nice park, with very clean restrooms and free showers, nice playground, short walk to an amazing park on the river. Would be a great spot for wedding for family party's. All kind of sights availably, some great wooded areas for tents or small campers. I would of given it a 10 but some sights area close together. ATT cell work well. read more

We stayed at Barton park for 2 nights. Tonight being the second of those 2. At 10:02 pm my dog started barking. He was tied up with only enough length to stay within our campsite. I got out of my camper to see what he was barking at and a strange young man (26 tops) was standing behind my camper. I walked up to see what he was doing and he says to me "Control your dog!" I said "He is on his leash." He then replies "Well quiet time is 10 o'clock and we have received several complaints." My only reply was "Seriously?" Then he sarcastically answered "Yeah, seriously!" I grabbed my dog and put him in the camper. My first thought is 'Wow! A hello would have been nice. Also how did you receive several complaints within 2 minutes of "quiet time" when he only started barking because you wandered up in the darkness?" Not one person here has said anything to my about my dog since I arrived. This young blonde man needs some training. My dog is a service animal and he did exactly what he is supposed to do. Besides providing a specific medical function that I would rather not share he had been fully trained to alert me when we are not safe. A strange man entering our campground in the dark without announcing himself would meet that specific criteria. I wouldn't recommend this place if you would like to feel safe in your mobile home. read more

Kyle basically got it right - EXCEPT for the 24-pack of Coors beer! Bad Advice!! We don't need any more drunken louts on the Clackamas River, which last weekend resulted in a swimmer being paralyzed for life because a drunk dived in on top of him. And others die on the Clackamas every summer as a direct result of being drunk. So please leave the beer at home and bring soft drinks! read more

Close to Portland. Nice bathrooms and showers. Also very crowded with drunks and seemingly no enforcement of quiet hours.
