Great first visit to Basecamp Coffee! The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. They walked me through the menu and explained all of their coffee selections. I loved that they had hot, iced, and seasonal coffee options. There were also seasonal flight options; however, I opted for an iced latte. They also offer punch cards, which I loved and happened to luck out with--the customer before me won a free coffee and decided to gift it to the next customer, which ended up being me. The space is huge! It's shared with the brewing company next door, so both the coffee shop and brewery seating areas are open for the public to enjoy. Whether you're there to work or meet up with friends, there's plenty of space to hang out. While I waited for my coffee, I scoped out the merch area, which was filled with goodies made by local vendors. I purchased my first reusable sleeve, which turned out to be the ideal solution for my iced latte. I was immediately able to put it to the test and was happy to report that I was satisfied with both my latte and my sleeve! Looking forward to try out at coffee flight at my next visit!
Amazing coffee with a touch of service in class that I haven't found many other places in suburban coffee shops. The drinks are amazing and the staff really goes above and beyond to chat about how to make coffee and coffee art and about the local community.
This place was great, they even have a coffee flight! One thing I appreciate about coffee shops is if they have good food to pair it with, which they did. This sandwich/charcuterie box was only $10.99 and you could purchase it at the brewery connected right next door. I also got an iced sugar cookie latte. Yum! They also have a big screen that played a live stream of deer and had a little free library for people to read.
We stopped into Base Camp during a beautiful Friday date day! When I'm in this area, I always try to stop by for a coffee or a beer!! :) The parking lot is a bit tricky since it's technically a one way, but there are plenty of available spots! The Coffee Shop is attached and shares space with Unmapped Brewery! I love that they leave the whole space open, which includes small social tables but also long dining tables that are great for a large group or to bring your full remote work set up for the day! Service is always friendly, quick, and gracious with their pup cups! Totally dog friendly space, which we take full advantage of! The coffee is excellent! I usually grab a specialty hot or iced latte, which rotate seasonally! On my most recent trip, I enjoyed the Maple Latte! They also have coffee flights, which are perfect for social media pics :) I'd recommend sharing since they'll set ya back $18. Definitely check this place out next time you're around!
My mom & I went here on a Sunday morning to try the valentines coffee flight. It's a smaller coffee shop but it's connected to a brewery which extends its seating which is nice. The brewery opens around 11 so you can get the best of both worlds. When we first walked in the line situation was a bit confusing because there were people standing everywhere "waiting". Some people waiting for pickup. When we ordered we were alerted it was a bit of a wait for flights since they were busier which was fine. We ordered one flight iced and the other hot. The iced came out a bit before the hot. It's very loud in the coffee shop and brewery so it's a bit hard to hear them call names. A bit easier to just go to the counter and look at the orders (there's a sticker w/ names on it). The flight came with 4-4oz flavors. Berry special, raspberry beret, love story, s'mores love (more info. about them in photos). I listed them in the order from fav to least. They were all generally good though. My mom also got one of the prepackaged banana muffins, she said it was just okay. I did like that they allow dogs, there were so many here when we went! Not much staff interaction as it was busy and they were focused on getting drinks out but the cashier was nice. Parking was easy despite how busy it was but spots are tight because snow covering lines so many people were double parked, taking up multiple spaces.
I enjoy the atmosphere of Base Camp. There are small tables in the cafe area with a small couch style seating, but there is a significant amount of open bench style seating in the brewery connected! With all the open space I am surprised its not too loud, but feels comfortable. They are dog friendly and it is fun to see well behaved pooches hanging around. I have not particularly loved the drinks I have gotten from the cafe. During this visit I got an iced matcha latte with vanilla and wouldn't order again. It was light on both matcha and vanilla flavor and was not creamy. It seemed odd that my cup came half full until I realized that the "small" must not have its own cup size. On the other hand, they killed the hot chocolate - it was delicious and we almost ordered a second to enjoy while we were there!
Visited on a Saturday morning and the parking lot was very full so we expected quite a long wait. We were pleasantly surprised to see that the space opened up into the brewery so there was more than enough room. The space was very welcoming and open. Bonus is that dogs are welcome too! We thought about getting a seasonal flight but opted for a mocha and a smore love seasonal drink. We only had to wait around 5 min for our drinks. The mocha was good, not overly sweet at all. The smore love was a mix of chocolate and cinnamon. I would say the cinnamon was very overpowering and didnt really give the impression of smore at all. The drinks were $7 each for 16 oz which feels pricy but is on par with other coffee shops these days for a specialty drink. This wouldn't be my regular stop but it's a good place to meet up with friends on a weekend.
What a lovely space to spend a morning! BCC&P has great staff, a welcoming vibe, great light for reading/working, and really good and fun coffee drinks. The latte flight does a nice job of pleasing a range of tastes: the mocha and salted caramel lattes were very sweet; the maple and cardamom lattes were less sweet and more nuanced. Did I mention they sell some of the best dog treats in Minnesota? Take some time to shop their merch as well as their beverages. The only room for improvement I found is in their selection of baked goods. Don't bother with the Great Harvest muffins -- there are better options nearby. BTW, there is an all-gender bathroom in case you need that. Nice!
I really enjoyed trying out Base Camp coffee for the first time! The coffee has a great quality taste that I would equate to something like Spyhouse, if you've been there. I also appreciate the effort put into some late art! The service was friendly and efficient, and the interior ambiance was overall pleasant. The directly attached brewery with plenty of TV's made the environment feel a bit louder than I prefer, but it wasn't too disruptive to have conversation. The parking lot is also a bit weird, but it gave me an excuse to use the new to me automatically parallel parking feature on my car. I would certainly visit this place again!
Still great. Baristas are friendly, coffee is good, bright seating area that's very open. Plus chill, adorable dogs everywhere.

The coffee options are super yummy - I loved my maple latte. It wasn't too sweet and had the perfect amount of maple flavor. The spot is so cute and bright! I loved the yellow room and all the plants. It gives me inspiration for my own house ;)
I was with a group of friends and we were trying to find a chill cafe to work on a database and of course have some coffee! The first 3 places we tried were busy or just didn't have a nice vibe to be somewhere we'd want to sit long term. Base camp was a great option. Plenty of seating for our group, WiFi, great coffee! I came specifically to Base Camp Coffee Shop for the coffee flight, and with so many delicious-sounding options, it was hard to choose just four! I ended up trying the iced maple latte, hot miel, hot pumpkin maple latte, and peach cobbler tea latte. I'll be honest--I should have checked the price before I came. The coffee flight was $20, which felt pretty steep to me. I was expecting something closer to $10-$12. I also would have preferred smaller sample sizes at a lower price. Plan to share the flight with a friend!! Of the four, the only one I absolutely loved was the iced maple latte. Next time, I'd probably just order that! The coffee shop is connected to a brewery, and the two spaces are open to each other, so it smells like beer inside, not coffee. On the plus side, there's lots of seating. They have free Wi-Fi and free parking. Overall, I'm glad I tried the flight, and I'd go back for that iced maple latte! read more
Enjoyed checking out at Base Camp Coffee! Cute spot, free parking. We tried the seasonal lemon pound cake latte and blueberry streusel cold brew. The cold brew was delicious as the blueberry cold foam really pulled the drink together. We weren't as fond of the lemon latte - I think the lemon bitters just threw us off. Service was okay! Not anything standout like the rest of the reviews have raved about, and one of our drinks took 10+ minutes longer than the other to come out. During this time, though, we enjoyed looking at the merch and the 'little free library' (that isn't so little!) in the shop :-) read more

drink of the hour: latte with vanilla & oat milk it was giving gourmet holiday gas station coffee (which i like) not bitter, creamy and i could actually taste the vanilla. however 1.75 for oat milk sub is absolute robbery. staff were nice and didn't seem bothered by my questions deciphering their drinks. i would come back to try their flights. the brewery attached had an unpleasant wet rag mountainy smell which set me off upon arrival as i entered through that way, if it wasn't for the smell i would say it's a perfect place to lock in for the work day. basecamp also has seating that looked like a nice place to work (without the smell). will have to come back and test it out. i also really like the color scheme and interior of both basecamp and unmapped! read more
How is this place not more popular?! This was such a fun relaxing and inclusive space. We have four people and got four coffee flights. The flights were able to have alternative milk options. I believe other places should take note as this allows for people with sensitivities to partake in something truly fun and unique! The barista was kind, helping with questions and brought us a drink when the knew it was ours (it was slower so I wouldn't expect this!). Overall I will be back here and hope that they do seasonal flights as that would help keep the excitement rolling and continue to encourage people to return after trying one flight. The flavors were wonderful. You could do hot or cold. There were two sweeter and I listed which in the photo. There were plenty of purchasable things, beautiful bright aesthetic. Additionally they offer lady products for use in the event you forget yours which is super thoughtful and kind. Overall the owner or manager running this place is doing a lot right and I encourage others to check it out!!! There's also a brewery connected which we did not check out but is important to note. The vibe was calm and relaxed, very lake day oriented. read more
Such a great find! I was here to celebrate a birthday at Unmapped Brewing and was pleasantly surprised to find a coffee shop is connected! There are several tables in Base Camp to sit along with a very cute set up but it's nice they also share the space with Unmapped. I tried the holiday coffee flight for $19. I am understanding of the high price since I know it takes the barista extra time to make 4 small drinks compared to 1. It was so good!! I usually stick to pretty basic coffee flavors like vanilla or caramel, and this gave me the chance to sample several without purchasing a full-size drink. Each drink had a cute topping, was clearly labeled, and tasted good! My favorites were the Holiday Hazelnut Latte & the Winter Cookie Latte. I will definitely be back to try some other flights and would surely do a single coffee drink as well! I highly recommend as a place for small groups to get together and have both the options of beer and coffee. read more

Raina the barista is AMAZING! She is very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. This coffee place has the brewery attached! I loved this place so much that I went back the next day for more! The beans used for the coffee are sourced from Fika in northern MN near Lusten. The seating is all hard chairs. There are clothing, accessories, and others goodies available for purchase. I would love to see coffee flights here! read more
A neat coffee bar that is attached to the Unmapped Brewing Company. There is outdoor seating with a few umbrellas and both places are dog friendly. They informed me there is no food made on site so I had to settled for a muffin that was still fresh as it was made locally by Amy's. The brewed coffee was on the average side to me with perhaps a touch of a metallic taste. Since the brewery was so inviting I took a few sips of my coffee and left it in the car for later consumption so I could head to the brews, (next review). read more
Dropped off Madison to Summer school nearby. Had to get some wifi and get a few emails knocked out. Was about to go to a different place that I was at last year. Today I searched yelp and wow... A new place. Here I am with a nice mug (real mug) of coffee. They even have flights of coffee samplers. I got a scallion scone. And they are playing Alt J in the background. Home run. read more
Very confused at the other reviews about Base Camp Coffee- I had nothing short of a fantastic experience. I saw it was about 15 minutes away from my place, and I was interested in trying a new coffee shop! Here's the details: Coffee: I ordered a 16 oz iced latte with oat milk and a shot of macadamia nut syrup. This was seriously so delicious- very smooth, rich, and the macadamia syrup was SO TASTY. Vibes: Base Camp did not have too much seating inside. There were a few tables with high top seating and a couch. It is also connected to Unmapped Brewing Co which had a plethora of seating. There was a very outdoorsy vibe to the decor, and it felt inviting! Service: the baristas were very welcoming when I arrived, and my order was taken quickly. My drink was also made perfectly! However, what stood out to me the most was an interaction between the barista and a child ordering a hot chocolate. The child wanted to watch their hot chocolate get made, and the barista brought them to the side of the counter to watch. The barista showed them step-by-step how to make the hot chocolate, and at the end, topped it with a big dollop of whipped cream! Very heart warming and made me realize why I love supporting small businesses. Parking: there is a parking lot out front, so parking is a breeze! read more

Another day, another coffee flight! While this coffee shop is a bit pricier than other comparable options, it is definitely worth a visit! The current flight offers a variety of fall flavors. I really liked that they offer to customize the milk in the flight, I went with oat milk and iced because iced coffee is life. I really enjoyed the pumpkin pie flavor, but the others left me kind of underwhelmed. Their signature holiday drink is the peppermint mocha, so of course I had to try that out too. Wow, now this is where they really shine! Honestly the best peppermint mocha I have had in a long time. Not too sweet and the flavors were perfectly balanced. I would love to see what their holiday flight has to offer. The space is really bright and clean, the attached brewery had some really pretty strong lighting. There was an odd smell in the coffee shop that I couldn't put my finger on. Overall, if you are in the area this spot deserves to be on your agenda! read more
Cute spot! Plenty of parking, very nice and clean, not overly loud or overwhelming considering there's a brewery attached! The flights they had featured this month were so good! The cardamom was my favorite and very fragrant and heavy of the good ol holiday spice! Honey lavender has a very herbal taste to it but was also very good. S'mores had marshmallows in it and was not overwhelmingly sweet. The pumpkin spice was my little nieces favorite flavor! It was sweet and topped with whipped cream. They're a little expensive compared to other flights I have had. But pretty yummy! Service was quick :) read more
The coffee shop is attached to Unmapped Brewinf Co. I got a ham and cheese scone and also their Lavendar Haze Latte. Both were good! They don't have warm food (and can't warm food up) because they allow dogs at their establishment. Not a ton of seating so not great for big groups but you can sit in the brewery read more

How GREAT is this COFFEE FLIGHT?! A quick run to the post office ...and I stumbled on this gem! Cardamom Latte, Honey Lavender Latte, S'mores Latte & Pumpkin Pie Latte. I'm normally not a huge fan of flavored lattes but the flavoring is so subtle and well done that I surprisingly enjoyed all of them. My girlfriend had the Maple Latte which was, again, subtle and delicious. Great job on delivering a quality experience. Also, they are attached to Unmapped Brewing Co so there's plenty of seating in either the coffee shop or the brewery. I saw plenty of people with coffee OR a beer. Great concept. :) read more
There's a coffee shop off excelsior(in Minnetonka/Hopkins border), rejoice! A new venture from the unmapped family, featuring local fika coffee beans! They have a great space and the coolest Yellow espresso machine, one of only a few on existence. Stop in, coffee and stay for a beer at the unmapped tap room which shares the space. read more

Such an amazing coffee shop! I will have to say their Coffee Flight is a bit pricier compared to other places I have had but is very delicious!! They give you an option if you would like your Coffee Flight Hot or Iced. I chose hot and they also ask what type of milk would you like in your coffee flight with the options of Oat milk, Whole milk, and skim milk, which is very nice! Lots of seating and they also have a brewery attached to the coffee shop with a lot of seating as well that you can sit at as well! The workers are very nice and polite!! Very clean coffee shop and so many cute little goodies such as candles, stickers and other Minnesota themed goods. The coffee tastes very high quality and loved each of the flavors that they offered in the coffee flight also I really love how beautifully decorated they are as well as the board that it comes with! So cute!! Will definitely come here again in the future! read more
