Overall, I really enjoy Life Time and think it's one of the better gyms around. The facilities are…read moregenerally clean, the equipment is high quality, and there are plenty of amenities that make the membership worthwhile. My biggest disappointment is that they removed the basketball courts. Basketball was a major part of the gym experience for me, and considering the price of a Life Time membership, I think removing the courts took away an important amenity. I'd really like to see basketball brought back in the future. I also think the steam room and sauna need to be expanded. They can get very crowded, especially during busy hours, and simply aren't large enough for the number of members using them. Larger steam and sauna areas would make a huge difference. Still a very good gym overall, which is why I'm giving it four stars. With basketball courts and larger steam/sauna facilities, it would easily be a five-star experience for me.

I have no idea where these negative reviews are coming from. Life Time in Laguna Niguel is an…read moreoutstanding gym and health club overall. The equipment is clean, well maintained, and there is a strong variety without the constant frustration of not having enough of what you need. The classes are excellent, easily as good as you will find anywhere, and the overall culture on the gym floor is a real plus. People are there to work out, not just socialize. The locker rooms are also a standout, consistently clean and clearly maintained throughout the day, and the front desk team is always friendly, professional, and welcoming while still feeling genuine (even though they are coached im sure). What really sets this location apart is how well it works for families. The kids club is far better than basic childcare, with a wide range of activities like sports skills, art, Spanish, and wall climbing. The pool area is also great for the whole family, with attentive lifeguards, fun family spaces, a separate adults-only area to relax, and good food and drinks available during the summer. It feels like a place where both parents and kids can genuinely enjoy spending time. A few things keep it from being perfect. It would be reasonable to include Parents Night Out in the already high monthly family membership rather than charging extra per child, especially since other Life Time locations do. It is also disappointing that the exceptional basketball courts are gone. Pickleball is clearly in demand, but keeping at least part of the space for a half-court basketball setup would have been a better balance. The old basketball league was a great part of the club, and it is hard not to miss it. We used to belong to the ClubSport Rennissance and it had a lot to offer too - but LT works better for us due to the better pool and kids club, nicer equipment, and more premium feel.

Writing this review is long overdue, but I cannot recommend Kids World at Renaissance ClubSport…read moreenough! It has truly become our second family. The fact that the staff knows every single child and parent by name is amazing and creates such a welcoming environment. My son did the Leaping Learners program last year and thrived. He learned his colors, how to count, how to color, and how to write his letters. Beyond academics, he made close, wonderful friends in the class. The teachers are absolutely amazing, patient, and caring. The seasonal camps have been an absolute blessing. They offer unique, hands-on experiences that my son still talks about. He was able to pet farm animals, touch a snake, and learn all about music and outer space. He even learned how to swim over the summer thanks to their amazing coaches! If you have a toddler and are looking for a way to relax, workout, or just enjoy some self-care time, this is the place to be. The family membership includes up to 3 hours of childcare per day! This amenity is truly how I keep my sanity as a parent. I would recommend Kids World to anyone. It is worth every single penny!

Stayed here overnight and this hotel does NOT disappoint!…read more I came here a couple years earlier for an overnight stay, just like this trip I went on. Instead on this trip, I had a free room available in my account, which I wanted to redeem before expiring. First of all, the front desk people are very sweet and were very knowledgeable about the hotel and the amenities included. It was also around $35 for overnight parking, which I guess was okay considering I was only staying one night. The parking garage is adjacent to the hotel. Couple of the reasons I came is for the swimming pool and the gym. It seems this is what the hotel revolves around; that and the kid care. Entering into the hotel room, it was super clean and very nice. They have a no-smoking policy in the room, which I love because certain hotels don't have that kind of policy and the rooms smells horrible. When I woke up in the morning, I had a view of the pool and spa. It seemed there was a class in the pool and it looked really fun and I didn't know they had classes. Unfortunately, I didn't have any time to see the gym, but I will my next trip to this hotel. Next time I head to this hotel, I'll have more to review but for now, this is all I have to say. Thank you, Marriott!

LOCKER "SECURITY " NEARLY COST ME MY IDENTITY…read more I've been a member here for a while, but after what happened this week, I can't in good conscience recommend this gym to anyone. I came back from my workout to find my locker lock had been cut off. Turns out staff claimed another member's keys were locked inside my locker and cut the lock to retrieve them -- without ever attempting to identify or contact me first, even though I was actively in the gym working out at the time. A quick page over the intercom or any attempt to find locker owner would have been the responsible move Here's the worse part: my backpack was in that locker, and my credit card was stolen out of it. While I was still on the gym floor, someone made purchases with my card. This wasn't a random opportunistic theft -- it happened specifically because staff cut my lock open and left my belongings exposed. I immediately reported it to the manager on duty, expecting some urgency given that this smells like an inside job. Instead, I got a shrug and zero follow-up. No incident report offered, no review of who had access, no acknowledgment that their own process (cutting a lock without verifying ownership) is what created the opportunity for this theft in the first place. If you're a member here, do not leave valuables in the lockers -- the locks can and will be cut without warning or verification, and management does not take resulting theft seriously. I've contacted my bank to dispute the charges and will be filing a police report. Looking into other gyms in the area at this point.

There's Pilates... And there's hot yoga. They offered a week for you to try the gym and the amenities, which was very generous. It's super close to my house so I was really hoping I would absolutely love everything about this gym since I already do Pilates and hot yoga elsewhere, but was really looking to add in weightlifting to my routine. I took a Pilates class with Mia... She was excellent! Very similar to what I am used to... Great instruction, but also perfectly challenging. I would go back and take her class in a heartbeat. I may even pay for add-ins to take her classes if the timing works out for me. The hot yoga class that I took was definitely hot, which I love! It was an extremely different style, that I am totally not used to so it was nice to experience it complementary... But I don't know that I go back. The instructor was fabulous and you can tell. She knew what she was doing and had a great following... I just don't know if that style is for me. Now for the gym - it's very, very VERY outdated - and pretty small. Most of the equipment seems like it's 20 years old or more. They keep the gym very clean- it was just small, kinda dark, and outdated. Front desk, staff and everyone I spoke to was extremely nice, friendly, and helpful. I would rate the gym portion of three and the rest of the amenities. I've experienced a five... That is the reason for my four-star rating. If the gym was nicer, I probably would've signed up for the top-tier membership, since that's the reason I wanted to check it out in the first place.
