I recently bought bourbon that was on sale for $39.99 the same bottle in breck was $32 regular price. wine is also more expensive for the selection I would normally buy. Good to know about options especially if you are going to Breckenridge. read more

I am in Austin, Texas, but had a friend vacationing in Frisco. I called Basecamp to see about having a thank you gift delivered. I talked to a sales person named Joe and he was extremely helpful. He not only recommended some tequilas, he is going to contact my friend and find out when he'll be off the mountain so he can personally deliver the goods! GREAT customer service and it seemed like they had a good variety, including the exact wines I wanted. This store will definitely be my "go-to" whenever I am in the area. read more

Coming from an area in Chicago that is known for it's bottle shops and craft beer selections I was not disappointed when I entered Basecamp. Admittedly, their layout is different and a bit confusing if you haven't been in before. But rest assured, one of the beer salespeople saw my blank stares and helped me out by pointing me in the right direction. I came in for local craft selections that I couldn't get in Illinois and they didn't disappoint. Their bottle area is wonderful and their craft selections in cans will not disappoint. If I'm ever in town again I will be sure to hit them up! read more

This place is awesome! I didn't look too much at liquor, but it seemed like a great selection and prices. I can only comment on the craft beer selection. IT'S THE BEST AROUND! The guy managing the beer section knows his stuff. Super knowledgeable. And what a huge selection of New Image! If you can't get to that brewery in Denver, pick up your freshies here. The worst attitude by a liquor store clerk in the 20 years I have lived in Summit county. My friend Mentioned it was her birthday. Got berated by the dude behind the desk on why "would should be discount his product it because we were locals or it was her birthday". Apparently his name was Mr Base camp. This store has everything you need . My husband was able to purchase peach crown , a limited edition item in bulk which made his year! The staff is friendly and helpful. We just arrived in town and they took time to take our purchases out to our car and offered recommendations for Several places to eat and things do. We appreciated their hospitality. I'm slightly embarrassed to say I keep tabs on all the liquor stores in summit hoping they'll have some new beers I've never tried. I've been waiting for years for a selection like this up here - it's awesome. There are new brews every time I go in, not just bombers (though they have a great bomber selection), but six packs from tons of breweries you've never heard of around colorado and other states. They taste all the things they carry too so you'll get good stuff. Check out the walk-in cooler, the six pack microbrews, and if you like sours, ask them about them. There's a guy that specializes in sours and hunts down all the good ones. read more

Quality place that is well stocked with knowledgeable staff! Lots of bourbon and whiskey selection. I've had a hard time in larger markets ( Denver and Tucson ), getting Willetts Pot or Wellers .... These guys had both! Wines run from jug to special occasion ( just ask, they are very helpful without being snobby). Very glad they are here, because buying the right stuff helps turn a perfect day into a better night. read more

Good selection and store is nice and organized but 2 stars for not being able to just look around without being HOUNDED. A simple greeting when you enter a store is fine but literally just left bought one bottle went in for 5...guy asked me 2x with 2 minutes if I needed help then an older woman approached me 30 seconds later and when I told her I was fine she went to put her hand on my shoulder but I moved away. Will never return, hate pushy sales especially at a liquor store...off to another store for the remainder of the bottles. read more

Their craft beer selection is second to none. The spirit selection is fantastic; from all the basics to some really interesting and unique spirits. I was very impressed with the selection of wines and the deep knowledge of their staff. I know some stores say they have the best prices, but Base Camp Wine & Spirits really does! As a beer lover, I was extremely impressed with their selection. The best part was their make your own six pack option. I'm from out of state and wanted to select a few local brews to bring home for my family. Many options, was the only hard part was choosing which ones I wanted to buy! I have been to Breckenridge twice since Base Camp opened and I am pretty sure this stop will be a part of every trip to Breckenridge. They have a large whiskey selection, ample wine options, and an impressive bomber room with multiple single options of cider or beer. Check this place out before stocking up your house for a week of skiing. It also happens to be located next to Whole Foods. read more

Retail the way it is supposed to be done: great selection, knowledgeable staff, rare products that are worth the visit just to see and if you are there on the right day, taste. Prices are the best in the county and surrounding counties. Worth stopping on the way back from Copper or Vail. Grab some food at Whole Foods, walk next door to Base Camp, and get a beer you likely never heard of but the staff can tell you all about it. The Owner is Second Generation industry person and it shows--no shrugged shoulders here. They also appear to buy in volume so every week there are great deals (if that is the way it works?)--either way, no one can beat the selection, service, prices or cleanliness.
