I had contacted several companies before, and honestly, most made me feel like I was bothering them. But when I called JustDryBasement, Susan answered--and she was incredibly professional, kind, and helpful. That first impression already set them apart. She connected me with the owner, Elliot, who has been amazing from start to finish. We worked together on three separate projects, and in every one, his quality of work and professionalism truly stood out. First project: Elliot installed a French drain in my basement and noticed damage to the walls, so he recommended and installed a special polyester wall barrier. He walked me through the entire process with patience and clarity. I waited a full year before writing this review, just to make sure everything held up--and I can confidently say, even through heavy rains here in Medford, NJ, my basement has remained dry. His work speaks for itself: solid, clean, and reliable. Second project: I still had high humidity in the basement, so Elliot suggested and installed a whole-house dehumidifier (AprilAire E100). He connected it directly to the French drain system, so I no longer have to worry about emptying water or dealing with moisture. It runs efficiently and quietly--even when I'm traveling, I have peace of mind. Third issue: Recently, I had water flooding in the finished part of my basement. I thought it was the water heater, but Elliot offered to stop by just to help figure it out. And he did--within two days, exactly as he promised. He quickly diagnosed the issue: it was actually the AC pump, not the water heater. Thanks to his advice, I was able to get the original installer (under warranty) to fix the problem. Elliot didn't have to help with that, but he did anyway--because that's the kind of person he is. Beyond his technical skills, Elliot is honest, communicative, punctual, and just a genuinely good person. He always followed through on his word, showed up on time, and took the time to explain everything clearly. Even when I had concerns, he didn't brush them off--instead of just talking over the phone, he came in person to give me peace of mind. I also want to give a shoutout to his partner Phillip, who was also fantastic to work with, and again, to Susan, for being so welcoming and helpful from the start. After working with this company three times, I can honestly say: I highly recommend JustDryBasement to anyone looking for quality, professionalism, and peace of mind. Their prices are more than fair for the level of service they deliver. It's rare to find people in this field who truly care--and I'm so glad I found them. Thank you, Elliot and team!

Our driveway was 6 inches lower than our garage and the walkway wasn't lined up to the driveway or patio. After a few outrageously expensive estimates from several companies and a few aggressive sales pitches I came across Concrete Chiropractor. The estimation process was simple as they asked me to take pictures and included a guide on how to do it. They followed up with a phone call and explained the process to me. They then sent me a DocuSign document (contract) and told me they would be in touch to schedule in a few weeks. When the crew showed up they again explained the process and in just a few hours everything was fixed perfectly and the price was fair. In fact they don't haggle or play games just give a fair price for the work.

Then I started feeling very uneasy about it since I could not find any real reviews of them and just the ones they said were 'past employees' and were making it up, blah blah. I also checked with BBB and it STILL shows no rating. Everything seemed shady. They also mentioned that all of their employees were salaried, but the guys who showed up looked like they were picked up from the corner in Paterson. They showed up without the permits, and tried talking me into working without them that the town has the paperwork and knows, yet when I called the town, it would have been a $2000 fine. I told them to come back when they have the permit, then I called and left a message for them to call me back. I spoke to the owner, Peter, and told him I do not feel comfortable and he said since I didnt have a good feeling he would refund all of my money, no fees, but said 'well, we did have to pay for the permits so I'm out that money' and I had already confirmed that the permits were still not picked up and paid for at the Borough Hall. He also said he refunded my credit card, I have yet to see it on my CC bill and this was back in April! My CC company is taking action. Completely shady company, nothing but lies!

They were prompt in having the pump and drains installed within days. My laundry room was connected to my basement and they partially demo'd the laundry wall (even left blood on the wall) and forgot to treat it with antimicrobial as new mold started to develop on this wall over the next couple of days. At that time they were amenable to coming back complete the work, applying additional mold treatment and further partially cutting up the dry wall of the laundry room. I asked if more of the wall needed to be cut and they stated that as long as it was sprayed there shouldn't be a new mold issue and other parts of the basement were also re-sprayed. The production manager acknowledged that the wall wasn't drawn onto the original contract which is why it might've been accidentally neglected but at that time, I was satisfied that they appropriately came back to fix the issue which they acknowledged should've been addressed. A month later, the insurance inspector finally came around and noticed that there was mold on wall underneath the stairs that Drytech also had partially demo'd that was parallel to the basement perimeter. The inspector felt that with this new mold formation, mold remediation was not done properly. 1 month after my basement flooded this is now the only drywall with new mold. I suspected that they also failed to treat this wall, so I contacted them again. They gave me the run around and initially attributed new mold to a leak they notice d in the foundation wall-- i initially suspected a plumbing issue and told the inspector this but he felt it was a groundwater issue and convinced me to get the the drain. There was indeed cracked disconnected plumbing was thoroughly addressed by the plumber within the week the drain was installed. This site was nowhere near the new site with mold and they were also aware of the plumber addressing this. Then the production manager stated there was new mold because of the "summer". Then he stated that the contract (which notes that I paid for "mold treatment") only includes treatment of visible mold found at time of demolition when the drain was placed. The thing is, the area under the stairs was closed and they opened it to place their drains which exposed it to moisture and water. I asked if it was standard to not spray this area with antimicrobial at the time of the demolition and never got a straight answer from the inspector nor the production manager. He continued to be adamant that to have this mold (that was supposed to addressed initially) treated, that it would be a new transaction which will cost more money, seeming completely ignoring the fact that they probably forgot to spray this area down and then stating that it because mold wasn't present there at the time they placed the drains that treatment wasn't warranted, nevermind that they opened up this area and mold takes days to develop. Also they cut up the dry wall about 3 feet which was much more than I was initially told. Also they removed perimeter flooring and at the time the mold was addressed a second time, I asked if the center needed to be removed. They said no but I didn't trust that answer and removed the flooring to find puddled water and mold formation underneath. I informed them about this and said I felt bad they had just come by to address the mold and stated I could spray the area and they didn't offer to come back they were ok with this plan. So thats why I feel like I have no choice but to leave this review as I paid for mold remediation as part of the contract for placing the pump and drains. I don't think I should have to pay additional money to address new mold on wall they had opened up and likely forgot to spray from the get go, twice. I get that this is a family owned business. The lifetime warranty for dry basement was what convinced me to get the drains. I just wish they were more accountable for addressing the untreated mold instead of giving multiple explanations instead of ignoring the most obvious explanation.

Jose, foreman, did a great job! He was responsible and the crew were timely. Jose even helped me reinstall the dehumidifier to the new sump pump area. They took away all the garbage too! The crew had two large trucks and seemed to have everything down to a science. One truck replaces the other once all the dirt from the basement gets loaded. My job was finished in two days because I needed additional work but this was explained to me and I had agreed to the extra service and charge. Knowing in advance is a good thing! Steve, the owner, came out to meet the me on day one. It was nice of him to come out and meet his client. At the end of the job, a customer appreciation care box came to my attention! This review will keep Blue Umbrella's five star record on track! Great to help local businesses! Now I want Luis to be here to provide better explanations for my plumbing, A/C, and other house repair issues! :) Thanks Blue Umbrella!
