We researched so many contractors to install French drains in our basement and landed on Dry Tech due to their price (lower) and their recommendations (more thorough). The crew arrived, to the minute, of the time that they communicated. After briefly running thru their plan, they took great care to drape our first floor from floor to ceiling with plastic to minimize dust and dirt. They forecasted the job would take 3 days in the quote (as did the others who quoted), but finished in 1 day! It was clear that the team had tremendous experience and operating procedures because they moved like an assembly line or military op. Professional, efficient, and no fuss. When they departed, they left the space spotless and provided clear instructions for how long we need to let the flooring dry before moving our belongings back in. We hired Dry Tech Waterproofing to replace our aging sump pump, reroute the discharge to the front of the house, and install a water powered back-up pump. Addam K. came out for the free estimate, and in discussing the job, I had said that a major issue was that I wanted the discharge to be out into the front yard. Addam wrote the proposal placing the discharge 8' from the front of the house, and I signed the proposal. After they did an excellent job on the system, we noticed that the discharge was placed in the garden and flooding out the plantings. Checking the proposal, the discharge was a bit more than 8' from the front of the house, in line with the signed contract. I contacted Addam and explained the issue, and offered to pay to have Dry Tech come out and extend the discharge into the front yard. Addam said that NO, he would come out personally and do the extension of the discharge pipe, and refused reimbursement for his work. He also offered to come out in a month, and again in a year to see that the system was working properly. I don't know what I can say to express how pleased I am with Dry Tech and the job they did on our sump pump. I've seen other reviews complaining and giving Dry Tech only one star, and I have to wonder, are they reviewing the same company? read more

This company is sales oriented, but not customer oriented. Long story short they charged me an exorbitant amount of money ($22,000) and my basement is wetter than when they started. Originally I had water coming thru the floor, one wall buckling and mildew on the walls. I already had a French Drain and sump pump. They assured me that the original French Drain was not installed low enough. They would install theirs lower in the ground and install a sump pump with lower power than I had. I had reservations about both of these things but they convinced me they could solve my problems. They told me they'd have to move a concrete sink that was there. Then they charged me an exorbitant amount to replace it with a cheap plastic one. Unfortunately, one by one the walls began to leak after they installed their system.They came out twice after several calls and photos sent and installed vapor barriers on two walls. The second time they came unannounced and I was very annoyed. Also vapor barriers do not fix the leaks; they only keep the humidity down. When the third and fourth walls began to leak I called and sent photos. They blew me off several times and kept saying someone would call me back. By the 3 week mark they called me and they basically said there was nothing more they could do. Their response after several calls was "that's just how water is." I was furious and I told them so. Then they called me back and offered me vapor barrier on the other 2 walls at an "extremely discounted price", as if they were doing me a favor! :-o U had already spent $22,000 and told them I wasn't spending any more. Their attitude was very nonchalant when I told them they were going to get a lot of bad reviews was "oh well". So I'm making good on my promise. Beware of this company!!! read more

Had issues of basement water entering with heavy rain that led to shop vacuuming after. Called several waterproofing companies got a quick call back and appointment with Adam. Should have informed him we had knowledge of how and why water was entering however he was through with explanation. Contacted him with our decision on a Saturday was scheduled the next Monday French Drain completed in 8hrs. While hurricane Ian's rains were coming down. These folks came in & ripped out damaged drywall & carpet, redid the improperly cut/damaged drain system that led to that damage, & in spite of all the concrete digging & related work didn't get a speck of dust anywhere else in my house. Crazy price, extremely bad service and rude sales guys. The guy came to provide me a quote . He comes to our house, I took him to the basement, he looks at it for 10 seconds, didn't explain what and how they would do the job for putting up a French drain. And throws a 8000 dollar price out of nowhere without measuring the place or anything. I told him thank you but it won't work. He was like why? I told him that his prices are completely out of band based on the rates we have received, so I told him no point in negotiating. The guy walks out rudely making rude and unpleasant comments. You do not want these guys anywhere near your house. Total rip off and extremely unprofessional. Also, BEWARE of the fake reviews. The same guy leaving two five star reviews and others seems to be all written by the same person. Read the language and you will see the similarity in how all the reviews are written. Addam spent the time to fully diagnose the issue (walking around the perimeter of the house and interior of the basement) as well as providing a detailed explanation of the proposed solution. We elected to go with them after getting 3 different proposals because of Addam's professionalism, attention to detail, and thoroughness. The guys on the job were very friendly and professional and did a great job installing the system (and in less than 1 day versus the forecasted 1-2 days). The finished job looks clean and I felt confident that this solution will be effective by the time they left. Came out for "estimate", never looked outside. Went into basement told me I needed concrete jack hammered out 18" to replace plastic perforated pipe drains with solid PVC as they were probably clogged FOR $10,000.00 When I said I wouldn't think of doing that BEFORE they scoped the drains first to see if that was the problem, he claimed only "specialty plumber had that type of equipment. !!!!!! So took him outside to show landscape and leaking sewer pipe seal and he stated to partially remove patio slab and dig down 6 feet to sewer pipe to reseal would be $3500.00. Had prior estimate for under $1,000.00. RIPOFF company who doesn't care to diagnose problem only sell you overpriced unnecessary construction. Had to show me piece of perforated drain pipe as if I, a woman, could not possibly understand. Whole visit took under 10 minutes. We hired them to install french drains and a sump in our basement, and remove all the drywall and moldy material. Part of the contract was to use a negative pressure system to control circulation of mold and dust. As I have asthma, I was sold on DryTech for this feature. Unfortunately, they did not do what was promised and, in fact, I had to call the manager to get them to put up any barriers at all AFTER demolition began. What was put up was very flimsy and my breathing has suffered since, which was 5 days ago. Also, their communication with me as a customer was very poor -- no call to confirm the time of the crew's arrival. We're in the city, and they had trouble parking, which we could have taken care of had they communicated the number of trucks and time. I was told that it was not their policy to call in advance. (Even Home Depot does that.) They did offer a $200 discount for cleaning (which I got another $50 on), but that in no way compensates for their failing to deliver the negative pressure and the allergic and breathing trouble I've had since. For a company that states that "this is all we do," they have a lot of room for improvement. I would not recommend using Dry Tech. read more

We had finally had it with bailing out our basement after an extremely severe rainstorm. The Dry Tech crew did a great job installing our French drain and sump pump and doing a mold treatment. They were professional, respectful of our property and kept dirt and debris to a minimum. Several months ago my husband and I had a true French drain installed by Dry Tech. I would highly recommend this organization. They are extremely professional and the team who completed the work was excellent! Before deciding to go with Dry Tech, I researched a number of other water proofing companies. Dry Tech was the most competitive with pricing and they developed a solution that didn't require destroying my entire finished basement. It also became obvious during the installation, that this was the only permanent solution that was going to work! My only regret is that we should have done it sooner! I do not know where to begin. We contacted Dry Tech for MINOR water issues in our basement and we also liked the fact that they were a small family owned business. We read the reviews and boy, we were fooled! They came out and supposedly put in a water drainage system. They also took out our sump pump and back up water pump, moved the sump pump and installed one of theirs because if something were to happen with our basement "flooding" it would be under warranty. 11 days later our entire basement flooded with 4 inches of water and to make matters worse, it happened on Christmas morning. We have lived in our home for over a year and our basement NEVER flooded. We contacted Dry Tech, thinking that they would KNOW this is an emergency & that everything would be covered under warranty. No one came. I was upset but understood that it was Christmas. However, no one came the next day or the next day after that! We had to wait three days for someone from Dry Tech to come out & all they did was install a new sump pump. We had to contact our insurance company to get the water out of the basement, because Dry Tech would of let it sat for 3 days. The company our insurance provider sent out were the ones that came out the next day, drained the water, ripped up our floors, cut out the walls and installed fans/de-humidifiers. Our dryer is ruined but I am really concerned about our HVAC system and the structural damage done to our home due to the massive amount of water and the water being left there for an extended period of time. I do not even know the amount of damage that is down there. Not to mention some sentimental items that now have to be discarded. We reached out to Dry Tech to see if they can offer some kind of compensation, since THEY installed a faulty sump pump (have not heard anything). Do their techs not check to make sure everything is working before they leave? Now, we have to pay over $7,000 for the "work" they did and on top of that, $1,000 deductible from my insurance company to even help with any repairs. While this review is not timely, I did want to state this company did an excellent job regarding the cracks in my basement walls. There were a number of reasons I was impressed with their performance. They were quick in doing the job, their cleanup and their written warranty which can be passed on to futures buyers of the residence. During the month of April we would usually get water in the basement from the multiple cracks, but as they promised none penetrated their repairs and the basement remained dry. These guys were in and out in two days, and did an excellent job of waterproofing the basement in such a short time. In the mold remediation process, they tore out all of the interior walls, which was fine, and also ripped down the drop ceiling, which left lights, electric boxes and electrical cords dangling like spaghetti, as well as wrenching my internet cable free from the box. They overloaded and shorted out the leak sensor on my water heater while they were cleaning the floor, leaving my family without hot water on a Friday evening and through the weekend, since nobody felt it necessary to return my calls. When I finally got a call back from one of their co-owners, he told me that they must have "shorted out the pilot light on my water heater" (which is electric, ergo, no pilot light) and he'd call me when he found a guy to come over. No call. When I contacted him again hours later he had completely forgotten that we had talked. Nobody has contacted me in the three weeks since the job was complete, despite promises to the contrary. They also abandoned a piece of equipment here. I had an extensive home renovation in March 2019 in which there were guys in and out for weeks, and they never left the house in such a violently messy state. Steve Lombardi and company really saved us! We woke up to a flood basement when our sump pump died unexpectedly on a Saturday morning. With one call, Steve and his colleagues were here in a very short period of time and went to work to replace the pump. Not only did they do that, they replaced a "leaning tower" of make-shift piping to the drain outside. Oh, and their price was less than what was quoted by another company for just the pump!
