We're an hour away, and I had been trying to get local chimney sweeps and masons to come deal with our house for years. I'd get an estimate, and then no one would follow up. Bone Dry showed up when they said they would, did what they said they would do, were respectful to my house, property, and people, and cleaned up after they left. We had three different crews come through to address each phase of the work, and everyone was professional, friendly, and communicative. There were a couple of small bumps, but they handled them professionally and quickly. I was, all in all, very pleased with their performance. I'm a building professional myself, and very much appreciate what they do. They're good people, and did a very good job for me. Pricing was reasonable '(this stuff is expensive - brace yourself, but these guys don't overcharge) I'd hire them again without a second thought.

Have used them 3 times. Initially for a roof repair after straight line winds caused damage to our…read moreoriginal roof. Followed up a few years later by issues where moisture was entering our house through an access point and causing damage to our ceiling. They took partial blame for the situation and repaired things with partial charges. Most recently after a storm, they checked my roof and determined it was OK, but a rake board had come loose and the sales rep showed me a video verifying the need for repair. I consented. When they came to do the repair, it wound up being a simple 'nail back in place job', which was not what all I thought it would necessarily be. Combined with a single loose piece of siding that was also nailed back into place, I was charged $665 for a 10-15 minute job that required basically no materials. When I shared my concern that I felt the charge was excessive for the work performed, I was basically dismissed and charged the full amount. I realize I signed the contract, I simply didn't think the job warranted the full charge. I appreciate they got on a ladder and did work I wasn't comfortable or knowledgable enough to do, and felt a slightly lesser charge seemed to make sense for what they did. Guess I will look elsewhere for future jobs after the lack of understanding to work with me.

We had a porch fire April 2021 and did not have homeowners insurance (we had forced place insurance…read morethrough our mortgage company). The fire affected the main bedroom, the roof, and caused extensive smoke and water damage. The insurance inspector gave an estimate of around 35k (structural only-- we had to just throw away our bed, tv, everything), while the hired public adjustor hired by the contractor and the mortgage company field adjustor estimated more than 80k of damage. After nearly a year of negotiating, the mortgage company put the 35k check in escrow and in March 2022 gave us 2 weeks to hire a contractor who would do the work or they'd apply the check to our mortgage and we'd continue living in a half- burned house. The one we'd been working with all year claimed it would be a liability to do the work for less than 80k so they essentially dumped us with 2 weeks to find someone else. Enter Luke. We already knew he was awesome due to work he'd done at my in-laws house, so we called him a bit desperate. He was incredibly kind and conscientious, and told me that he wouldn't leave us living in a half-burned house. We went through the insurance estimate line by line and he agreed to do the work, although I'm sure it was at a loss to him. The porch is bigger and better than ever, the carpeting was replaced with gorgeous vinyl plank flooring, they even helped with items not covered by the estimate. I feel truly blessed that Luke gave his time and effort to restore our home-- it looks better than before! He was very involved in the work, and double checked everything (paint colors, ceiling fans, stain colors, etc) to make sure we were happy. Luke truly went above and beyond, and we will be eternally grateful for his incredible work. If you're looking to have any type of home repair, I HIGHLY recommend him. I worked for 'the list' for nearly a decade and can confirm that workers like Luke are few and far between. In fact, I'm not sure he has a peer. His work is superlative, but his personality make him a cut above the rest. Thank you!!!

The installer also asked to use the restroom was in there for 25 minutes broke the seat somehow and just closed the door and left without saying a word about it. I learned about it later that evening when company was over they informed me the seat was hanging off. When I complained about it, I too was met with a very angry owner named Denny. Just a cussing and everything. He came back out and fixed everything, but it was a hassle. I paid $3400 to him for a large and small bathroom to fix them like new and I had to have it all redone 2 yrs later. The drywallers and painters are sub-contractors too, but the painters did a good job the first time, they had sharp lines and did a great job. But when they had to paint the second time, not so much. I think they were in a hurry and just did it to get out. Plus, he used Sherwin Super Paint in my bathrooms, instead of using a semi-gloss to help protect from moisture runs in the paint. After 2 yrs I had to repaint because it looked worse than before they painted. I had the water run stains everywhere in both bathrooms. Even the paint around all 3 tub surrounds was peeling. And the repairs to my ceiling was the exact same issue I had before they came (4 large nail pops in one section), they apparently did not do a very good job when they supposedly ripped it all out and redone that section. Also wish he would had told me Super Paint is one step above contractor grade paint and that I should have used something better. The new painters used Emerald semi-gloss. The painters suggested it and said Super Paint is garbage. I did not know at the time. Needless to say, this was the first and last time I used Fish.
