Walked in on a Tuesday Evening. The gal came to greet us and said sorry guys we are really busy and short staffed but if you guys want to wait it will be a while before we can attend to you. We said that's fine as we were not fussed and understand staffing issues. We were directed to our seats where were quietly waiting for about 20 minutes. Then another girl comes over and says sorry we are very busy and if you don't have a reservation then we can not accommodate you after we were seated. We requested that we were there to celebrate a special birthday and just wanted 1 drink. She said ok and returned 10 minutes later with another excuse not to serve us. We had to walk out really embarrassed. Been here many times and this was the first time we walked out after 30 plus minutes of wait and such poor service. Hate leaving this review as they have always been super good in the past. Usually there service is one of the best in Klamath. The drinks were spot on but the food was not to par. I travel to Klamath often and this is my first experience of unsatisfactory. I ordered my go to shrimp Cajun rolls and it was extremely salty. A Martini bar!! Was so excited! Who'd a thunk? In Klamath Falls!!! Okay, we don't drink Martini's - it's bad enough we drink wine non-stop (starting at 7 p.m.!) But so what? So what is the single worst wine list I have ever laid eyes on in my wine-drenched restaurant-filled life. It reads like this (I hope I still have a pic to post): Chardonnay $7 Pinot Gris $6.50 etc... and so when asking the server for a wine list she recites the limited (to one type of wine per category) list. No joke. The appetizers on the menu were appetizing and we ordered two just to get us going. The scallops dish was tiny but tasty enough. The chicken satay had two serious flaws - 1) so little sauce as to not qualify as a satay, 2) the chicken was burned. LeHubby and I are the types to go in to a place like this and drink a few rounds and order a number of small plates. It was a cool place, we liked it, we wanted to stay, but we don't drink martinis and their wine offerings are stupid and the two apps we had were meh, so we went to the crazy Rooster restaurant joint that was a near-disaster. This bar receives three stars because the server was adorable, the place looked great, loved the booths (the entire place was done, clearly, by Pottery Barn or the equivalent, but to good purpose, so what the hell), and it has BOATLOADS, Klamath Fall BIRD LOADS of potential, really truly kids, we'll come back and shovel money at you (so we can stay in KH and go to Lava Beds National Monument AND to Crater Lake) and tell all our friends - but you gotta step up the wine by the glass list (and let a wine distributor - NOT the ones selling to Safeway - help with this.) read more

We traveled back to Klamath Falls this summer and we are so glad we did. On this visit we discovered Basin Martini Bar. Everything was fantastique! The cocktails were refreshing; "the backyard margarita", Pomegranate Martini and the Gin & Tonic, all made with skilled craftsmanship. Our dinner orders consisted of two grilled beet salads, one as it comes and one with a blue cheese substitute. Both were delicious in their own right as the warm grilled beets melted and married with the cheese. My daughter ordered the Gnocchi and was delighted, my hubby ordered the scallops and licked his plate clean! And my sister and I split the Chimichurri Tri Tip and we were blown away! For dessert we had one of each; Flourless Chocolate Cake and Whiskey Caramel Cheesecake. I am sure we all will be dreaming and craving it before we are able to return...I would be remiss if I didn't give a shout-out to our server, the magnificent Mariah! This is really an amazing bar/restaurant in downtown Klamath Falls. Phenomenal drink menu, I ordered a specialty drink of the day not on the menu made with a ginger infused shrub, pomegranate juice and some other stuff called a Ruby Sipper. Best drink I've ever had! They have a full menu. We ordered the Sugar and Nut Glazed Brie and Chicken Spring Rolls and both were delicious. We were served by Johnny, the General Manager and he was so passionate about the drinks we thought he was the owner at first. This place is awesome. The drinks were some of the best I've had and I've had a lot of martinis in my life. They use house infused liquor and fresh ingredients and you can tell in the final product. The food was excellent as well. My wife had the tri-tip with chimichurrri and I had the veal meatloaf. Bothe were cooked perfect and tasted perfect. The staff was friendly, helpful, and fast. I travel regularly and often depend on yelp for good advise for restaurants in places new to me. While spending an evening in Klamath Falls I found the Basin Martini Bar and was blown away! After a long day of driving I was tired, hungry and looking for something that reminded me of home. I am please to day I found everything I was looking for here. The service and food were exceptional! I have to say that in tough economic times some restaurants make cuts here and there to save money. It is refreshing to find an establishment not willing to make those sacrifices. I had the chicken/chipotle wantons which were fabulous. For dinner the Angus burger jumped out and was perfectly cook with some awesome Oregon blue cheese. The gentleman next to me had the stuffed chicken which looked amazing and will be my choice on my next visit. Hubs and I went there last night for our anniversary and really enjoyed it. It was exactly what we were looking for with yummy and interesting drinks and lighter fare. For the drinks, we ordered a couple of the Hot Messes. The first round, the server cut back on the spice and I can see why. The second round we asked for the full whammy - that sucker is hot! And the best drink we had. If you're into that kind of thing, I definitely recommend it. The other drinks we had: Hazelnut, Spanishtini (also slightly spicy and really interesting flavors), and the Blueberry. Server told me the Blueberry was "really sweet," but I didn't think so. The blueberry puree made it mighty tasty IMO. Of these, I think my fav was the Spanishtini, but if you're getting the Hot Mess, you may want a sweet drink on the side to balance the spice. 6 drinks in about 2 hours and we weren't stumbling out of there. They're not particularly strong, which I think is a pretty good thing. It allows you to try a bunch of stuff and have a good time without getting wasted. For dinner I ordered the arugula. What a great salad! Very light dressing tossed through with the fruit and walnuts- it's been a long time since I've seen lettuce that perfect in a restaurant. Hubs got the cheese/meat plate and the hummus. Neither were worth writing home about but they were decent. Hummus was pretty boring but it was better with the tasty crostini bread they served with the meat and cheese. The best part? The bill was like $70. SO reasonable for a fun night out. I have been to the Basin Martini Bar a few times and finally got around to creating a review. Every time I have visited, I have received good service from clean employees, great food and drinks that were mixed very well. The atmosphere is very calm and relaxing after a hard day at work. It's not a cowboy or dive bar, yet there is not a pretentious dress code. Anyone who says this place isn't great must be crazy! The mojitos are well made and everything is VERY reasonably priced. Someone who says otherwise clearly hasn't been to a large city and paid $20 for one. I met the owner Amy and she was an absolute delight to talk with. I wish more people in Klamath would come here, because Klamath needs a place like this! Great for groups or small gatherings. I highly recommend the Basin Martini Bar. read more

The martini bar is a great choice here in Klamath Falls. Their food is always good: I especially recommend the Cajun tots (although they can be a little stingy with them sometimes) and the artichoke dip. Delicious! They also have excellent drinks... But I would especially recommend their mojitos and the Spicy O martini. Incredible! Only downside? Their service can be inconsistent, but the food and drink quality is well worth it. read more
