King Wah kills it today ! Giant delicious steak and crispy pot stickers to die for ! Owners upgraded the meat and it's obvious and better !

Never been here before, but I would definitely come back. Food was good. Staff was nice and friendly and place seemed to be clean. Would definitely give it another try.

King Wah Lunch Menu Sep '25 p2

Quality food prepared to Midwestern tastes, not Chinese. Tuesday lunch, not busy. Ordered from lunch menu (see photos). Had Chow Mein with Sweet and Sour Chicken, and Orange Chicken and Pork Fried Rice. Both chicken dishes were based on the plain Mar Far Chicken, good flavor, tenderness, and amount of breading. Sauces were fine, a bit too sweet. Orange Chicken was not at all spicy, when most have some spiciness. Sweet and Sour had no sourness, and no pineapple, bell pepper, or onion. Chow Mein had good amount of vegetables. Rice was not greasy, but should have had more vegetables.

Passed through Klamath Falls for the night and this place was highly recommended by a clerk at a nearby hotel my wife and I stayed at. The place is clean and decent with an adjacent bar. The people and workers there were super friendly and patient while figuring out our to-go order. I decided on a plate of Broccoli Beef and the House Lo Mein. Took about 15 mins and it was cooked to order. By the time I got back to the room, the food was still super hot. As for the food itself....wow, unfortunately, a lot is left to be desired here. It's mainly the flavor that has left a bad taste (accurately, no taste) in our mouths. The Broccoli Beef practically had zero flavor. It was to the point that it was almost inedible. We tried using a packet of soy sauce to try to enhance the food but still the same result....abysmal. The texture seemed to be fine. The beef was thin, slightly chewy, and the broccoli and carrots cooked with a crunch still in play. The House Lo Mein dish (my choice) was even more strange, oddly enough. Typically, a dish like this is savory. However, here, it also had a sweetness to it that I have never experienced before. It was really weird. I'm not sure if whoever they have cooking these dishes are just "winging it" or just lacking the proper spices needed to make these dishes correctly and/or poorly subbing them with others. All I can honestly say is NONE of the spices used meshed well with the food. My tastebuds were having a full on brawl trying to reject whatever ingredients used to flavor my food. I did manage to eat all the meat inside the dish so that it wasn't a complete waste of money. It was a chore-ish activity. The price range here is over the top. I believe the average dish price is around $16-17 per. A little bit less if choosing the combo plate option. Granted, the portion sizes on these dishes are absolutely astronomical. Easily feed 2 people per but....really, what's the point if the food isn't even remotely palatable? Exactly. With tip, we paid a little over $40 for two dishes. I don't mind paying for whatever as long as it meets all the requirements one would expect. It's not all about quantity. Personally, I wouldn't recommend any of the dishes I've ordered here. This is not to say that their other options are equally as suspect because some restaurants tend to prepare certain dishes than others and these weren't one of them. However, this was a flavoring issue for me which perhaps may pertain to the majority of their menu. You may want to stick to the more basic that are on the deep-fried side (i.e. Sweet & Sour, appetizer, etc) to play it safe. Friendly reminder, if you are just going through town for the night and getting take-out, double check your bag and make sure you have plasticware to eat with. I had to double back to get ours. 2.5 stars from me. Good luck and stay safe!

This food has been a staple for 30+ years and it just keeps getting better!! King pao, Mar Far, BBq pork, and sweet and sour are on our weekly "treat me" plan!! When I was in college, we would go there for Kamakazis and dancing but now?!? My adult kids love the food as much as I do!! Give it a try!! You won't be disappointed!!

Being from San Francisco, this Chinese food is mediocre. Service was excellent and the staff was very friendly.

For an instant as we entered we thought we were experiencing the scene from Bob Seger's song Turn the Page. We looked at everyone and they looked at us. Like many lounges, they have a high % of local clientele and we clearly were not that. Nevertheless the friendly guy behind the bar welcomed and joked with us as we ordered our food and drinks. The overall place looked spotless and fresh unlike some places that have sticky tables and smell like stale beer. Below is the breakdown: Wings - amongst the largest I have ever seen. They came breaded with Buffalo sauce on the side. They were juicy and delicious even without the sauce. I asked for "hot" and the sauce was Franks straight up which is just right for me. Apparently they offer four Buffalo heat flavors and over a dozen other sauces. Burger - a 1/4 or 1/3 pound burger with standard toppings. Breaded Calamari strips - first time I have encountered Calamari that looked like a fish stick. They were tender and good. Frys - these were amazing. Everyone does frys and it is hard to get excited but these were fantastic. Crisp and medium sized they came out hot and fresh. We think the kitchen is related and shared by the chicken place next door. The service was just right and the gal working the table was super nice and helpful. Prices were more than fair. As we left we said goodbye to a now fully occupied bar and had several farewells come our way. Overall a great place run by great folks.

I ordered a Corpse Reviver #2 and my husband went with a Paper Plane--both cocktails were absolutely delicious and well-balanced. The menu was a bit unexpected for such a stylish lounge, leaning heavily on fried comfort food. We tried the cheese curds and the charcuterie board, and both were surprisingly good. Service was a bit uneven. The bartender, while very chatty with locals, didn't acknowledge us at all--which made it clear we weren't part of the regular crowd. Thankfully, the waitress was friendly and attentive, even though we were seated at the bar. She's the one who took our orders and made us feel welcome. Overall, it was a pretty good experience--especially if you're from around here or don't mind a little local-clique energy.

Here is a tip for El Palacio...or what they now call The Sizzlin Buffet restaurant…read more In the post-COVID era, a surviving buffet is a rarity. I'm not sure how much longer the Slizzlin will last doing what they currently do...which is part of the problem..consistency. The Mexican portion of the buffet is ok. You get the usual offerings. You might have to ask for fresh from the kitchen enchiladas, and you ALWAYS have to ask for corn or flour tortillas. They don't put those out on the buffet. Rice, beans, stuff to make tacos, fajitas, it's there. The service is fine. Plenty of offers of water. If the enchiladas are not on the buffet, you might have to ask for them. Sometimes the waitress offers you some, other times they don't and they are not on the buffet line. Inconsistency. The ambiance...well this is Klamath Falls, and long ago I think this place used to be a bank. The upstairs was a wild night club for a while until they lost their liquor license. The ambiance, if you call it that is all Mexican colors. But here is the problem: The non-Mexican food you simply never know what is going to be on the buffet line. Sure...there is a "Theme Night" every night except Tuesdays when I think they are closed. But how many customers can remember what food is going to be served on which day? They have Italian, Prime Rib, Fish night...I can't remember the others. Also, what I notice is that they serve the "Theme Night" left-overs for the $15 lunch the next day. So whatever night is Italian, you can maybe get some lasagna the next day for lunch. If this place has any chance of long term success, they need to provide mashed potatos, gravy, green beans, corn, chicken etc...EVERY DAY and offer a senior citizen discount. If not, they might as well dump the non-Mexican part of the buffet. They need the comfort food every day for consistency. The salad and fruits part is there. But the traditional American buffet is not. Deserts...They used to have a variety of not very good stuff, but now it's all just cinnamon & sugar crunchy things. I think they gave up on the other desert offerings and that was probably a good decision. They have recently lowered the price for dinner from $20 to iirc $17...except Friday and Saturday it's still $20...that's more inconsistency for you. Lunch is $15 but as I said, beyond Mexican food you never know what you are going to get. This restaurant has gone though years of OLCC issues and currently they don't have a liquor license so don't expect to buy drinks, therefore the bar is...closed. I would love to see success here. But given the inconsistency of the non-mexican food part of the buffet, I don't see them lasting more than a couple years.

I'll never know because they never came to replace it. Then the fajitas had more onions and bell peppers than shrimp and steak. The frijoles were very bland. I even put some queso on it to give it flavor and it did not make a difference. Then the steak with yellow squash, zucchini and broccoli had too much salt. The ice cream machine was down. Not impress at all. The only thing I did like was the pasta with cream white sauce and chicken. I definitely won't be coming back.
