One of the first thing I want to tell what I like about the school is the science fair. As much as what people dread about the science fair, it is a place where I get to speak about my research to a panel of researchers that have a common interest in what I am doing. Therefore, I learned a ton throughout such programs, along with many others that the school has to provide to me as a student. Because of these learning experiences, I grow as a student. However, there are some concerns that led me to give it 4 stars instead of 5 stars. I found that the school still follows the conventional schooling that most public schools follow. It is through this which results in high stress and bullying, which then leads to the underscoring of the school. Furthermore, the uniform policy does not change how it leads to a cutting-edge school (although compared to other public schools, it is). But overall, I still love the school and I wish that every low-income students and parents who are seeking to give the best transformative school comes to here before considering others.

In the short amount of time he…read morehas been here, a former staff member harassed him--following him to the restroom, making comments about his clothing, asking other students personal questions about him, and constantly picking on him. We reported these concerns and had a meeting about it, but all we were told was that she was no longer at the school. While things slightly improved afterward, nothing was done to address the harm that had already occurred. To make matters worse, another staff member not only went around asking another student for my son's phone number, but she actually called him after school to ask about drama happening at the school--nothing school-related, and nothing appropriate for an adult to discuss with a student. This behavior was completely unprofessional and unacceptable, yet the school chose to ignore it. Despite ignoring repeated misconduct by their own employees, the school immediately moved to expel my son the moment he was involved in one fight--while defending himself. Given everything he has endured, this feels like retaliation. The difference in accountability between a child and adult staff members is alarming. There are also major communication issues at this school. Many teachers struggle with a language barrier that leaves students confused about instructions and assignments, and little effort is made to fix it. This is especially harmful for students with 504 plans, who rely on clarity and support--not additional obstacles. Overall, sending our child to this school has been one of the worst decisions we could have made. Even in such a short time, it has become clear that this school is not here to support or protect its students. This experience has been unfair, discouraging, and completely unacceptable. Students and families deserve far better.

Only knowing two families when we started at Concordia, we now know many wonderful families with amazing teens. I find the students to be fun, smart, respectful and kind. I could not ask for better student body. My son currently attends as a sophomore. He has participated in debate, multiple sports and the school musical. Most high schools make it difficult for students to participate in that many activities. Concordia does what it can to make accommodations. The administration and faculty are intelligent, capable, and understanding. I've recently met with the Director of Admissions to discuss an individualized tuition plan for next year when my daughter will also attend Concordia. I know that there are many good schools out there. However, I feel that Concordia has much to offer. They have many positives and are always looking to improve. I recommend Concordia to anyone looking for a school focused on academics, quality student body and the ability to participate in multiple activities.

This stadium is as old as PHS, and locked up off hours. Over Summer 2025, they got brand new turf. All home games for freshman and JV are playing on this field. To attend one of their games, you can scan a QR code upon entrance, or buy tickets prior with a link to their ticket box. It is $4 per adults and $2 students plus a ridiculous more than 30% transaction fee, every game. Their games are considered small with little scoreboard light up time, 1 cop, a hardworking concession stand group of volunteers, but kept clean well. The concessions stands keeps changing locations; front or back. They sell anything from Gatorade, nachos, chips, candy to hotdogs and popcorn. They regularly have Bush's chicken sliders and sweet tea as well. The promotion options. T-shirts, bags, caps etc. between $15-$30 each. The teams are working hard over the Summers to get in shape and are now showing their skills during Football season. The Varsity team gets to play at the large Pfield, across the road. And they are great! It is a goal for the youngsters to join them in the future. The coaches are amazing! The teams are fantastic! We are Panthers Proud!

Both have made National Honor Society, received recognition in extra-curricular activities, and are taking college level courses. This is culture at Brentwood, to work hard and push past personal limitations. They are being prepared for college and life but still are allowed to be kids and have fun. I have my kids here for 3 reasons: 1) the academic expectations are substantially higher than most public schools and many private schools so being taught at levels well beyond the standard will set them up for success in whatever they choose to do, 2) they can participate in any extra-curricular activities they want to be in, 3) it is a Christian school, meaning the moral and ethical standards they are held to are high. The community is great as well which makes it even better for parents and students. Is it perfect? No, but if you want the best for your kids, academically, spiritually and help them grow to be strong minded adults who add to society this is a place for them. Brentwood students compete and win at high levels in state competitions for academics, arts, sports, etc. Tuition is less than many other private schools yet they are still at or near the top in academic ratings and categories. It has been a great investment in our kids.

Residents of Williamson County are eligible to attend Meridian, and this school offers a worthy alternative to the good schools we already have in the area. My son attends the primary program, and we have really enjoyed being part of the Meridian community. Pros: The building and instructional spaces are high-quality and pleasant, especially for a charter school based in a converted office building. The IB curriculum is rigorous, and it offers a more balanced world perspective than the Texas public school experience. Teachers are absolutely top-notch. Meridian treats teachers well, and the quality shows. The optional after-school program (Triple A) is fantastic for working families. The cost is reasonable, the teachers/group leaders are great, and my son has a blast. The kids are constantly rotating through meaningful art, academic, and athletic activities. It's amazing! Meridian has very engaged parents and volunteers. There's even a school community garden that has been integrated into classroom curriculum. Administration is engaged, passionate, and empowered to move quickly to steer the school in the right direction. They are not beholden to monolithic policies of larger districts. They can experiment and deploy best practices (like the awesome Mind Up program) Cons: Admission is by lottery, and waitlists have been very long in recent years. Word has gotten out. With a campus located in a generally commercial zone, the grounds sport more of a warehouse/prison-yard feel. Green space is seriously lacking. The kids do have adequate outdoor space and play-structures, but there are no large grassy fields. With a funding gap versus public schools, fundraising and parent donations are a factor. I think Meridian might also face challenges in things like technology deployment, given that the school does not have access to the same kind of clout (like bond issues,huge budgets) of a RRISD. The campus is a commuter campus with no bus service or "walkability" like a neighborhood school. Also, the location is near I-35 in an area that frequently has traffic conditions that are far less than ideal. This school will require extra commitment for pickup and dropoff, but it is well worth it.
