This small restaurant in this small town should get more recognition than it probably does. First…read moreof all the place is cute and cozy. Secondly we had to wait a few to be seated on a Friday evening. That's a good sign. We were sat within 5-10 mins. Our server (Brie) I believe was amazing. We asked her for suggestions. She was not shy and suggested the pork chops and Fish. Boy was she right! I got the catfish. I am not a huge catfish fan unless it is done right and CLEAN. Theirs is exactly that! Well seasoned and amazing! The hush puppies were hand made not frozen and were the best from a restaurant that I have had. I also. Had the baked potato, potato salad. Again easily the best I have ever had. Back to the battered and fried pork chops, unless you are able to eat enough for a family of 4 or the 1/2 portion. They were simply seasoned in a way that any chef should be proud of!! We took 3/4 home and airfares them the next day. He had the green beans with the chops and Lordy they could potentially make you slap your momma. Here's the thing. We eat out a lot and I do write a lot of reviews but this hands down was one the top 5 experiences in the last 3-4 years. This meal with drinks was only $38 before a nice cash tip on the table. I will be back again and again! I hope more people find this special place so close to Lake DeGray

Mamoo's Creamery is serving up some seriously delicious ice cream for the people of Hot Springs! It…read morewas so good, I had to go back and take a photo with the owner. The owner and his partner make all the ice cream themselves, it's the real deal. I had a scoop of the strawberry on a waffle cone (also made on site), and couldn't hold a conversation until I was done inhaling the entire scoop. It was so delicious, with a great rich texture and amazing flavor. My friend had vanilla and said the same. Mamoo is changing the ice cream game for this town! They've got roughly 18(?) flavors to choose from, and really you can't go wrong. The owner is so nice, and happy to help you narrow down choices so that you get the perfect scoop. The shop is located slightly below street level. It's a little hard to find because you have to go through a small lobby first, then another set of doors to the right. But trust me, it's well worth the search. Definitely the best ice cream in town!

A nice front desk employee at The Arlington showed us the beautiful staircase leading down. When we got there, I honestly thought it was closed because of the low lighting and how unclean it was. A friendly young female employee quickly greeted us, only to inform us they didn't have this, didn't have that. It sure didn't seem like it was because there was such a crowd because we were the only humans present! This place boasts "the only homemade ice cream on bath house row." I sampled the Black Walnut and was not impressed. My root beer float ($7) was fine. My oldest daughter didn't really care for her Coke float ($7). I guess it's because she had her heart set on Dr. Pepper that they didn't have. My youngest had a single cup ($5) of Birthday Cake. She enjoyed it. I'd probably go elsewhere for ice cream in Hot Springs, AR, next time. RATING BREAKDOWN Ice Cream: 3 | Service: 4 | Ambiance: 2 | Price: 2

I expected a typical soft serve experience and that is what I got. Though from the reviews I thought I was going together an especially good burger, and it was (as another reviewer said) on the low side of mediocre. Fresh. Yes. Flavor... meh. They didn't have slushies. I wanted one. Not always in the mood for dairy. The ice tea was bland. I ordered a peach hand pie as I'd been driving all day and believe something sugary is a good reward. (I am admittedly self deluding). I thought it said "homemade" somewhere and I looked forward to whatever Arkansas grandma made these in her spare time to delight patrons and passers by. I posted pictures, I shall call "hand pie requiem." "Food" like this shouldn't exist anymore. It was designed in some food lab 50 years ago, and is made in some dumpster fire of a factory somewhere. It tasted more like black licorice than peach pie. It was so disgusting I pitched it after two bites. For decency's sake. Take these off the menu.
