Stopped into Flying Burger on our way out of town during a road trip. I really didn't expect much. Flying Burger? It sounds like something from a cartoon sitcom. It was SO GOOD!! (Apparently they grind the meat fresh everyday.) I would usually only eat half of the burger and fries. I ATE EVERY LAST BIT OF IT ALL! I really wishbI lived closer because I would love to try everything. They have a huge menu.

$32 10 shrimp add catfish cajun fry 2 puppies. 7 mins for food. Fresh good portion service quality. The fries taste like 5guys/in n out. Catfish was perfect. Puppies hard. Sauce it came with ok. Id never get the shrimp again the cornmeal was really hard/grain-y. Not bad not the worse altogether. Fair try. Wish i couldve loved the food more.

    Really bad

Fast service, the fries are fresh made not frozen and crispy. The burger was seasoned well. It was a great burger. It's got the classic classics diner feel. Was pleasantly surprised with the menu option. The shrimp basket and Cajun season fries was a big hit with my wife. The shims is fried una cornmeal batter. 10/10 would love to eat hear again.

Great Service! The Cheeseburger was delicious and I definitely want to explore the menu next time I return! Great Prices as well!

This place was surprisingly really good! We're staying at Degray Lake Resort and there aren't many restaurants around, but this place was about 15 minutes down the road and very good! You order at the counter and they give you a buzzer to come pick it up, or there's a drive thru! Pretty simple and seemed clean, and the service was friendly and kind! I tried the blackened salmon with butter sauce and absolutely loved it. It was a little on the salty side but absolutely delicious and cooked well. I loved the flavor. It came with rice and beans and a side salad (the contents of which were weird-- lettuce, croutons, parmesan, tomatoes, and raisins?), but the sides can be substituted. Drinks are not included in the price of the meal, and a small is $2. My boyfriend had the catfish poboy and liked it a lot; he speaks highly of the catfish. Definitely a good spot to stop! They also have $2 huge cinnamon rolls and you can add ice cream for less than a dollar. Didn't try one because we were full, but I wish I had!

Great catfish, and this was the smallest basket!

FB&S has been recommended to me about 5 times, but today was my first time to eat here. It win't be my last. I came at the height of the lunch-rush, ordered from huge overhead menu at the counter, fixed my sweet tea, and sat down. WITHIN ONE MINUTE MY FOOD WAS READY!! Wow. The food was fresh and warm, my catfish & skin-on fries were crispy, and the hushpuppies dry (not greasy) and flavorful. Condiments included standards like tartar sauce, ketchup, and shrimp cocktail sauce - as well as bonuses like Ranch Dressing! I love Ranch on my fries - so I am happy! Next visit I'll try a burger, and sample the Blue Bell ice cream on a cinammon roll!

The catfish is amazing. My husband said that was some of the best gumbo that he ever had. Will definitely eat there again.

The salad with tuna was just right. My husband enjoyed his hamburger. Just stay away from the cold, under cooked, tasteless hush puppies.

Secondly we had to wait a few to be seated on a Friday evening. That's a good sign. We were sat within 5-10 mins. Our server (Brie) I believe was amazing. We asked her for suggestions. She was not shy and suggested the pork chops and Fish. Boy was she right! I got the catfish. I am not a huge catfish fan unless it is done right and CLEAN. Theirs is exactly that! Well seasoned and amazing! The hush puppies were hand made not frozen and were the best from a restaurant that I have had. I also. Had the baked potato, potato salad. Again easily the best I have ever had. Back to the battered and fried pork chops, unless you are able to eat enough for a family of 4 or the 1/2 portion. They were simply seasoned in a way that any chef should be proud of!! We took 3/4 home and airfares them the next day. He had the green beans with the chops and Lordy they could potentially make you slap your momma. Here's the thing. We eat out a lot and I do write a lot of reviews but this hands down was one the top 5 experiences in the last 3-4 years. This meal with drinks was only $38 before a nice cash tip on the table. I will be back again and again! I hope more people find this special place so close to Lake DeGray

My wife ordered the steak and shrimp with a salad, while I went for the fried oysters, gumbo, and what I believe they call "the experience" (a great combo!). We also ordered an appetizer, which came out almost immediately along with our sides and drinks -- super impressive timing. The shrimp on a skewer with Cajun seasoning was a real treat. The steak, shrimp, gumbo, and baked potato were all outstanding. My only minor note is that the fried oysters didn't have much oyster flavor or texture for me -- they were mostly crispy fried breading -- but I'm not going to knock them because everything else was so good. I'm sure they're prepared exactly as intended, and it's just not my preferred style. From start to finish, the service was great, the food was delicious, and the cost was very fair for the quality and portions. This is an easy 5-star spot! Highly recommended!

Not sure why as didn't complain to anybody to get an explanation. Food was decent. Read someone's review about chowder being watery. They either fixed it or had a bad batch. It was good and thick. The crab bisque was no good. Just weird tasting and can't explain how. Had trigger fish which got charged for dinner when we were at lunch and didn't know. It was good the lemon jerk was a nice flavor. The butter potatoes enjoyed and is swimming in it but liked it. The mango cole slaw was just ok. Wouldn't do it again. The crab was crab, not bad. When we arrived, we requested a table by the front window so we could be away from the walkway where dogs pass through the restaurant. The hostess told us she would do her best to accommodate our request after about a 45-minute wait. When our table was ready, another hostess, Alley, seated us at the back of the restaurant instead. When my mother pointed out that the front window table was still empty, Alley told us it was reserved for an interview. Later, I walked by and saw that same table occupied by another party. When I questioned Alley, her explanation suddenly changed to "confusion." To make matters worse, the manager, John, later confirmed there was no interview taking place that evening. We were given multiple, inconsistent explanations for why we couldn't have the table we requested. As African American customers, it was troubling to be told the table was unavailable, only to later see a white party seated there after we had been told it was reserved. I cannot say why that happened, but I can say it left us questioning whether we were treated fairly. What disappointed me even more was management's response. Rather than acknowledging our concerns, John repeatedly defended the hostess and offered different explanations instead of simply apologizing. Although our meal was eventually comped, neither Alley nor John apologized for what happened. I later emailed management describing the incident in detail and never received a response. Ignoring a customer after an experience like this only reinforces the impression that our concerns were not taken seriously. Customer service begins long before the food reaches the table. Honesty, respect, and accountability matter. Unfortunately, we did not receive those that evening. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant.
