But the taste is great, the portions are huge, and it's definitely worth it! Pistachio: The pistachio flavor is very strong, even a bit salty. Those who like it will love it, while those who don't might find it strange--for example, my dad thought it tasted like salted fish. No Sugar Added Hazelnut: The best of the bunch. The nutty and creamy aroma of hazelnuts is rich, and because no sugar is added, it's not too sweet. A pure yet exquisite flavor. Strawberry Mascarpone & Ricotta: Amazing! It tastes like strawberry cheesecake! The perfect amount of cheese, combined with the refreshing strawberry jam, is simply wonderful. Cranberry: A very simple fruit sorbet. Most people might find it too sour, but for someone like me who loves sour flavors and had just eaten in Thai restaurant like Tha Phraya, it was perfect. Refreshing, natural, and helps cut through the greasiness.

I settled on the pistachio creme brulee (one flavor). It was a creme brulee base with pistachios mixed in. The texture was a little more liquidy than what I expect from gelato. Flavor was less bold and less creamy than what I expect as well. Ate a lot more like a sorbet. Pricey at about $10 for a small waffle cone (excluding rip). Service was quick and polite.

I liked their personalzed story. This wasn't a chain or franchise nor was it osned by a corporate conglomerate but a " Mom & Pop" shop. When I walked by, it was early in the morning and they weren't open but I planned to return. Yesterday, although it was an unusually cold and rainy afternoon in April and I was thinking, I would have preferred buying a hot cup of coffee, I hallened upon Lilo's and decided tonwalk inside. I was immediately impressed by their incredible selection of ice creams that are written in colorful chalk on the walls of their store! To my amazement, they buy homemade ice creams from all over the country and have, if possible the mighedt selection imaginable. They slso sell soft serve yogurt as well as ice cream and have a very impressive selection of " add ons" ( sprinkles, etc) . I was slso surprised by their selection of different cone options including gluten free and pretzel ! Since I was in the mood for coffee, Sonam, offered me two options, and J chose coffee with cookies. It was DELICIOUS! Having read some of the other reviews, especially some of the negative ones regarding their prices, I did not think that the cost was out of line since you canesdy spend over 10 dollars in domebof these high end ice cream shops. Of course, you could go to Mc Donald's and buy a cone for a dollar but you might not be eating anything that has milk or cream. ! I loved Lilo Creamery and while it's many blocks from where I live, I'll definitely be returning soon!

I decided to get the Hojicha (roasted green tea) flavor today, and it was absolutely delicious. I love hojicha, it's my favorite Japanese tea because of its deep, roasted flavor, and it paired perfectly with the creamy richness of the ice cream. The flavor was smooth, balanced, and not overly sweet. A single scoop was the perfect amount for me and really hit the spot! Definitely a great place to cool down and treat yourself on a hot day.

The employee assisting me was kind and immediately asked a coworker to get a Band-Aid. Unfortunately, the second employee's response was disappointing. Rather than asking if I was okay or apologizing, she told me to "go home and take it out," walked away, and slammed the ice cream covers down. The original employee ended up apologizing for her coworker's behavior. Accidents can happen, but empathy and professionalism matter. I hope the damaged counter is repaired and staff receive additional customer service training so future customers are treated with more care and respect.

This month they're serving both mango sticky rice frozen yogurt AND dry greek yogurt, and they don't skimp on the juicy mangoes or coconut sticky rice at all! *Mango Sticky Rice Frozen Yogurt $13.49 (S), $15.49 (M) I loved how tart and refreshing the mango froyo is. The coconut sticky rice isn't as sweet, so it pairs perfectly with the juicy mangoes. This is my favorite flavor they've launched so far. *Mango Sticky Rice Greek Yogurt $13.99 (S), $15.99 (M) I'm a huge fan of their dry greek yogurt--it's thick but still very creamy. It definitely has more than enough mango puree and condensed milk to make the greek yogurt less "dry" if you aren't into dry yogurt. Paired with the sticky rice, it honestly feels more like a meal than a dessert.

I follow the owners instagram for her nail content so I was curious to travel across coast to try haha. The strained yogurt is thick, similar to how you make it at home with press (thick, dry) not as smooth as labneh (which has a more tofu smooth like texture). It is thick, isn't sour, but also doesn't have a super rich in cream flavor. The toppings seem healthily made (canned/ from scratch granola) , but just seemed kind of empty for the price. They would do well with better packaging (smaller, maybe like gelato cups) and a better price point for customized options. It feels healthy and is a good snack. The froyo didn't really catch my eye or taste buds when I sampled. I also got a dubai chewy cookie which was a hit for the bite and surprisingly I was able to share it amongst quite a bit of people. Not too dry or sweet, decent flavor and overall solid experience. Not as big as the other one I've seen or super high quality, but its a good starting/first try one. The packaging did break apart in the bag I had and dust things with cocoa powder lol. Please check your teeth after biting. Overall, aesthetic staff. I feel for the price paid I'd rather have meals but Im also not from new york so maybe its common for the COL.
